Great night out! I remember Paul Rodgers in the band Free when I was a kid and that song All Right Now. Memories!👍🏻 Thanks for sharing Viktor!
Thank you Ray and I'm glad you like it! It's full of great songs, and this is just a fraction of the repertoire! And of course, in addition to the good atmosphere, delicious beers are also a good idea!😅
@viktorlieszkovszky9683 PEEVO!!👍 🍺 🍻😋
Great job!
Thank you very much!
Viktor I love the hand made Telecaster. Whoever made it did a great job. Just like the technician doing the maintenance on it. He also does great work. Have a wonderful Holiday Season! Best wishes from across the pond from Ray in the USA! 👍🏻😎
Thank you Ray! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Viktor from Alps
Nice video, very interesting! Keep it up
Thank you very much !
The biggest mistake is to put 6 strings instead of 5...
Thanks Daniel for the comment, Yes you are right! The owner asked for 6 strings because they are not only playing Rolling Stones songs, but also a massive 4 hour concert with about 10 artists. So the guitar has to meet other criteria too!
Viktor P-90Zzzz ...Single coil...and a Humbucker. Talk about a broad stroke of the brush. To bad about not using a quality Truss Rod. I'm SURE the doctor can make it...🤔 Perfect! 👍😉
Hemage is a German company and the guitars are handmade in Germany, it is strange that they are using the US Imperial size truss rods. You would think that them being a boutique company that charges a lot of money for their guitars that thy would come properly set up, over the years I have found the more I pay for a guitar the worse the set up is, I have bought guitars under £200 that have been perfectly set up from the factory.
Thank you Andrew for the useful info, I didn't know that and I didn't know this brand! I think the construction itself is good, the owner has been using it for years and is satisfied with it. And thank you also for watching my videos and the useful comment!
are there bars here
Unfortunately, for some reason I'm only seeing the comment now, sorry! Yes, there are quite a few bars and restaurants along the main road, but not next to each other! Between the hospital and Tesco, there's a favorite of mine, the NADAO PUB. Great permanent band, large concert hall, cold drinks, good food and everything you need! It can be seen in another of my videos!
Ouch. The chunky neck is the best part of a Gibson. Nice job though.
Thanks Gary! Yes, many people like this neck radius. I've seen similar ones on PRS and ESP-LTD guitars, I think they work under a Gibson License. Unfortunately, this was the owner's request, so instead of the guitar gathering dust at home, this great guitar is back on stage and in the studio!
Viktor Imagine Angus Young such a small guy playing such a Chunky Neck? 🤔 Nice job! As always! 😉👍👏👏👏👏
Thanks Ray! Yes, Angus Young didn't have much to choose from when they started the band, but maybe they still had the thin-necked Gibsons back then. Now they make guitars specifically for him.
Viktor A Masterpiece! Great Job! 👍🏻😉👏👏
Thank you very much!
Viktor The owner of this guitar will have a National Treasure when you are done with it. He is very lucky to have you work on it. As always im very impressed to watch the Master Mechanic perform his Magic on a guitar in need. GREAT work Viktor!! Ray in The USA!👍🏻👏❤🎸
Thanks Ray! The owner was really very happy! Because he earn him family's monthly income with this instrument! He almost didn't recognize it, he said it was a new guitar shaped for his hands and style!
@viktorlieszkovszky9683 A Telecaster is very uncomfortable to play. I have many physical ailments so I totally understand! I'm happy for him. 👍🏻
Viktor Way too many questions to ask. So... I will just say...Totally AMAZING work!! The Touch Of The Masters Hand! Das 😎 all! 👍🏻👏
Hi Ray Master! Thank you very much for you watching all my videos and writing positive comments! I am very grateful for it and it also motivates me to keep doing it! Thanks!
@@viktorlieszkovszky9683 Thanks Victor! 👍
Viktor Amazing work! You have SO much confidence and skill! Im lost for words! Das 😎 all! 👍😉👏👏👏👏👏
I used an angle grinder to do the belly cut and arm contour on a kit tele. I think it was much easier and quicker than what you are doing here! The body was made of poplar wood which is a little softer and lighter than ash which I am guessing is your body wood?
Hi! Thanks for watching my videos and commenting! Yes, it's much easier to make! Unfortunately, I don't speak English well, but I said in the video that unfortunately I have now closed my rented workshop where I could do these loud operations, I am now doing this in the living room of my apartment. Since I live in a condominium and have 4 neighbors, I thought I would show you how to do this without machines! Of course, the most accurate way is to cut it with a CNC machine in 5 minutes! Also, I personally like the Japanese handwork line very much and I try to make every task in this way!
It doesn't need a ground. The pickup base provides the ground...
Hi! Thanks for watching my videos and commenting! Of course you are right, but in this case the neck pickup is 15 Ohm and the bridge pickup is 20 Ohm. If after I finish my work and the owner tries it and is not satisfied with the sound, it is likely that the pickup will be replaced, which I will not do. So that there is never a problem, that's why I'm makeing it now!
Viktor Wow! The Doctor is in the House! How do you get your chisels SO sharp? I was shocked with the powered color in water. I thought a oil stain is what you would use. I thought the color was too orange at first but was SHOCKED when it matched. I would have used a universal tint 🤔 a Raw Sienna. Good call. Viktor, is the cost of the repair exceed the cost of the guitar now? Because of all my physical ailments playing my Telecaster is very uncomfortable and almost painful so I understand the modifications. Fantastic work! A Master!!! Das 😎alll!👍😉👏👏👏👏
Hi Ray, my friend! Well, first I sharpen it with at least P260 sandpaper, then grind it on a whetstone! I like to use water-based paints, but also the natural materials that surround us in the kitchen! Ex: Turmeric yellow, coffee, etc. I will present them in another video! Yes, you should always pay attention to the fact that water-based paints will be 3 times lighter after drying. The time and labor to repair the instrument never increases proportionately with the amount, so it always remains a semi-hobby. That's why a master instrument made by hand, be it a guitar or a violin or any other instrument, costs thousands of dollars or euros, while a cheap wood CNC-cut and stringed costs a few hundreds! Greetings my friend from the Alps
@@viktorlieszkovszky9683 Victor I can NEVER sharpen my chisels or knives properly. When I see yours cut wood like warm butter...I'm Amazed and impressed! Turmeric I injest regularly...however 🤔 as a stain! 👏 Wow! If you were close I would have you make my Telecaster SO much more comfortable to play and sound GREAT! I love watching you work. You never stop amazing me! Thank you...Very much! USA...Ray 👍🏻
What was the guitar’s weight to begin with??
If my scale is correct, it was about 5-5.2 kg.
@@viktorlieszkovszky9683 that is heavy!
Viktor I'm biting my nails on this one! I never...🤔😉👍"Saw" anyone "Saw" a guitar before! Everything has to precise! This is AMAZING! Like a Civil War Surgeon. Can't wait to see how it turns out. 😉👍 Das 😎 all! 👏👏
Thanks Ray, I hope you like it when it's done! It's a bit unusual for me to work on a telecaster, but it's really true that it's too difficult for a street musician to use it all day!
@@viktorlieszkovszky9683 Viktor Yes remember when you built a Butterscotch Keith Richard's Tellicaster a few years ago? That 🤔 I think was easy compared to this. Good luck! 👍 Waiting patiently for the next video. Thanks Ray
Definitely a Mechanic! Das 😎 all! 👍👏
Hello Viktor. Where can I buy those pieces of metal?
Hi! It is a completely simple L-iron that is galvanized. You can buy it at any home DIY or equipment store, I bought it at Obi, about 1.5 euros. Thanks for watching my videos and asking questions!
Viktor Nice instalation and short diagnosis! What is a Bumblebee's function? I also like the rubber sleeves you put on the wires after a sodering and heat shrink for a permanent insulator wrap. So much better than electrical tape that ALWAYS fails with age. 👍👏👏👏
Hi Ray Master! Well, the BumbleBee's is a capacitor, an oil paper solution from the 50's and 60's, which is still used today. Of course, the newer technique is the ceramic capacitor, orange drops, which is also good, but I like the old sound better! As a matter of fact, the short sinusoidal signals created by the string resonance in the pickup propagate in the form of a weak current, which can be AC or DC. This is stored and passed on by the capacitor so that it is always passed on in an equal amount. It balances the measure. Thank you very much!
@@viktorlieszkovszky9683 Xcellant! I like old too Victor! Better sound. Thank you!👍🏻
Viktor Where are these beautiful mountains? What a view! The only time I got to experience such beauty was on a trip back from Ghana Africa. I had a layover in Zurich Switzerland and a long one 8 hours. Instead of hanging around in the airport I got on a train and went sight seeing. I took a gamble but it was well wort it. Zurich's beauty is breath taking somthing I know you 🤔 are aware of. 👍😉
Viktor The day we ALWAYS cherish the most! Nice. 👍
Viktor You have a beautiful family! I never knew your channel was packed with so many videos of your travels throughout the world! Wow! 👍🏻
Viktor The Doctor is in! Or should I say surgeon?🤔 Xcellant job! I remember this guitar. Love it! Viktor, I see London Boxing on your shirt...You a boxing fan? Curious 🤔?
Hi My Friend Mr.Ray! Thank you very much for the kind words, I'm trying to do everything to the best of my ability, but I still have a lot to learn! But I think you're a better guitarist than I am a mechanic! I make not boxing but it's similar, I did Thai boxing from my teenage years until I was about 30 years old. I loved her very much and later she became my Thai wife. You can also see my travels in Thailand in previous videos! Best Regards my Friend!
@@viktorlieszkovszky9683 I appreciate you kind words as well. I bet you are a better guitar player than I. You are just humble. Me I just have fun. I asked about boxing because it was the only sport I ever watched. I also was ringside for huge big boxing events at Foxwoods Casinoand and Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. I went to many mixed martial arts as well. I will watch some videos from your wife. 🥊🥊 Take care Viktor 👍
Viktor So technical. The owner will be glad the Doctor was in! Great job! 👍🏻👏
Thank you very much Ray!
Viktor I wish you lived close by. What detail and love you apply in all your work. I just don't see it here. Das 😎 all. 👍🏻😉
Thank you Ray!
Viktor Nothing more to say that haven't already said. Great job! Question... Warwick guitars 🤔 are they not famous for for stainless steel frets on most of their high end guitars? Curious. 👍😉 Thanks 👍 Ray in the...USA
Yes, and the Standard Corvette bass guitars were not even equipped with 2 P90s, only 2 single coils. So it is possible that this is a Custom guitar made to order! Unfortunately, the owner does not know its exact origin!
@@viktorlieszkovszky9683 Now it's a Original Viktor L. reissue in perfect condition! 😉👍👏 Thanks so much! Take care!👍

Thank you my friend Ray! I always like your kind words and it's also good that you always watch my videos! I still have to experience a lot in the field of guitars, because a lot of things are not written in the big book about how to fix them. I have to improvisation often! Greetings from the Alps!

Viktor Nice job! I have only one Ibenez guitar. A bass guitar for thoes special occasions where one is needed. This is a nice guitar you have here. 👍😉
Viktor I could never NOT like your videos! Xcellant Job! Viktor...My first guitar in the mid 1960s was a six string guitar that totally resembled this beauty you worked on here. 🤔 I'm not sure if in Europe you would have even heard of it. It was a guitar made by Sears And Robuck Company. It was almost identical. Black glitter paint with the plastic white trim. The amplifier was actually built into the guitar case. It of course was a tube amp at that time. You took the guitar out of the case and stood the case on end. The plug port and controls were inside at the top of the case and the speaker was on the outside of the case. We used to play in a friend's basement with a drummer and...as garage bands did back then we were celar kids. There was no lessons or TH-cam then so we sounded awful! Lot of good memories came back just watching you perform your magic in this beautiful guitar! Thanks Viktor! Your friend in America! Ray!👍😎
Hi Ray! What a story, we could certainly have a good time talking and telling stories together! I think I know which guitar you're talking about, I knew it was like a Silverstone? I had an amplifier for them!
@@viktorlieszkovszky9683 100% Correct! Yes Silverstone! I should have known you would know! Stories...I have a million! Das 😎 all! 👍🏻😉
Super Viktor
Danke Hazim!
Viktor The Doctor is in Da House! You've really showed your guitar tech mastery here. 👍👏 I think the builder spared no expense on this guitar. The Bridge looks like it cost a fortune. Also, I never saw thoes locking tuners before. My black American Stratocaster has locking tuners but there is no need to winde around the post just tighten and couple turns and its at pitch. These seem to tighten with a set screw on top then you winde around the post. No need to reverse bend your string. Amazing! Great work fine tuning this guitar. The owner is SO lucky to have such a Master guitar 🎸 tech work on it. I'm never 💯% happy with the workmanship of our local Luther's. Each video you put out shows a little more how great your ability is. I hope local guitar owners see your videos and the comments left and your business grows expedentually. I'm impressed! Ray, across the pond in the USA! Das 😎 all. 👍
Hi Ray! Thank you again for your kind words! Yes, this tremolo is a very high quality and precise type. But this also only provides the same memory that Leo Fender created in the early fifties! Here, too, you can see what a genius he was in the field of guitar production! Regarding the vise tuning key, I used to wind the string on it at least 3 times to get the angle of 3-5 degrees so that the other vibration of the string does not give a glass sound! Luckily more and more people are watching my videos and thus my customers are increasing, but still it will remain just a hobby for a long time. Viktor from the high Alps
@@viktorlieszkovszky9683 My instincs tell me you are a electrical engineer or high tech field?🤔 Your knowledge is not that of a typical hobbyist. No matter you are very impressive to watch. Best wishes. 😎👍
@@viktorlieszkovszky9683 Viktor Sorry to bother you. I have been thinking 🤔 about your comment. So with my locking tuners I should as of old leave slack and wind around the post a few times as you did in your video? This would make my string sound better? Thanks Viktor. 👍
@@RollingStoneZzzzz Only if there is no meeting point of at least 3-5 degrees from the tuner keys to the 0th fret. Since Telecasters and Stratocasters have parallel heads, the gibson head is not a parallel system to the fretboard. The bending of at least 15 degrees.

Wow. Nice Guitar😋
Viktor Like I said...nice guitar but the Floyd Rose system is far too complicated for me. I had one on my Heavy Metal Square Stratocaster. Simple to use when its set up. Just dial in the tone with the smalk screw head. Once its maxed out forget it. Time to call Viktor! 🤔😉👍😎
Viktor You are a guitar surgeon! 🎸 Amazing ! I bought something being sold on TH-cam called ToneBar. It did away with thoes dreaded acoustic guitar pins I hate so much. It also made my acoustic guitar sound so much better. Take a look and give me your opinion. ToneBar. Thanks Ray USA!👍😎
Viktor This Gibson must be very light. Beautiful guitar! I'm glad to see his sweat did no permanently corrode the Floyd Rose...good as new! I only had on guitar with a Floyd Rose...too complicated for me. Viktor...I would love to see guitars come..."Standard" with Stainless Steel frets...Whats your opinion? PS...What does this guitar sound like? A Gibson? Unorthodox.🤔 Great work by the..."Master"! Happy Summer from across the pond in the USA!👍🏻👏👏👏
Thanks Ray for watching my video again and I'm glad you like what I do! The Gibson owner is also very grateful! He will bring me the guitar back to the big repair in July. I hope to see this guitar in concert soon! I think the Stainless Steel frets produce a very nice sound, but it's true that it's very difficult for me to work with them. A thorough sanding is enough for this guitar, as the height of the frets is 1.30 and 1.45 millimeters. The second part is coming soon!
@@viktorlieszkovszky9683 I'm rough on frets. stainless steel last longer I'm told. 🤔 Waiting for follow-up video! 👍🏻👏👏 Thank you!
Viktor Long video...long comment! Like I said in your last video... behind every great guitar 🤔... There is a great Luthier...you got this band sounding great! I remember the video with the Telecaster 🤔...Looks just like mine!😉 Norman Greenbaulm and the song Spirit In The Sky...did you know on that song to get such a dirty sound he cut the amp speaker with a razor blade and made several slits in it. Viktor... Behind every great guitar...and band 🤔 there's a Great Luthier keeping the guitars looking...playing and sounding Great! That's you Bro! Great sound! 👍😉👏👏👏👏
Thank you Ray!
Viktor Nice job on the bone nut! I love bone not cheap plastic called "Synthetic" Bone. Take care! Ray...USA
Yes, plastic should remain for LEGO toys😁. Thank Ray!
@@viktorlieszkovszky9683 😆 🤣 😂
Viktor I love a resinator guitar. However, why a pick up on a resinator🤔? I believe it will take away that REAL blues sound when in a open tuning. I love your problem solving skills it shows what a true master you are at your craft! I wish I knew what you know! Another beautiful job!...Compliments from across the pond! Ray in USA 👍😉👏❤️
Hi Ray! It's always nice to hear a lot of words of praise for my work! You really don't need that humbucker, a large membrane microphone is definitely better at a concert. If so, then a piezo pickup would be a better choice than violins!
@@viktorlieszkovszky9683 My daughter in law is a concert violinist. We just went to a symphony orchestra show last week. So acoustics are important. Resonator... 🤔 "Definitely" no pick up! Keep the videos coming Viktor! Thanks 👍🏻😉👏
Every steps of yours mirror what *I* usually do. Since I just ordered the very same guitar (a B-stock) from Thomann, I'll let you know when it arrives. You"re right about strings: heavy gauge electric strings are the right choice. Go on, brother!
Hey Viktor A interesting device to attached to the low E string. 🤔 Not able to see the real value of it but 🤔 I'm sure the owner does. As usual...nice job! From Ray across the pond in the USA! Das. Das 😎 all! 👍👏👏
Well, I don't see the point either, because it seems easier to tune down and up during the song with the tuning key!🤔And if I use one of the drop tunings, I have it on another guitar!😁Anyway, I do what they ask me to do!
@@viktorlieszkovszky9683 Absolutely 💯! The customer is always right! I love drop tunings as well. Neil Young's Cinimon Girl is in Drop D. Love your work Viktor. Have a great summer. Das 😎all! 👍
Viktor Nice to see you! Are you OK? I have not seen your videos for quite a while. I remember seeing Paul McCartney play this type of bass on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. Looks beautiful! Nice job. I will wait for part two! Take care Viktor! Thank you! Ray over in America! 😎👍👏👏
Hi, thank you very much Ray! Yes, winter time here in the Alps not so much job. I had to do other work and for the most part I only had setup work that the client waited for and they did not ask for a video! Yeah, I saw that Ed Sullivan show, it's awesome.Until then, all the best! Viktor in Alps😊
@@viktorlieszkovszky9683 Viktor the Alps are so beautiful. Went to Zurich in 1999. I too am doing labor to make ends meet. Stinks to have to work when I should be retired! Take Care! 👍
What kind of strings do you suggest for that guitar?
First of all, thank you for watching my videos and for asking! At 0:54 you can see what string I used! For acoustic guitars, "Martin Guitars" Bronze or Phosphor bronze 10-strings work very well for me! It's very warm, but at the same time it has that metallic sound, low, middle and high notes! Even after 3 months, the tinkling sound of the bronze is still there! I'll put the link here! www.thomann.de/at/martin_guitars_m170_the_originals.htm
Thank you For some reason I didn't see the packet of strings
Viktor I will wait...patiently for your follow-up video. Hope all is well across the pond! Thanks! Ray👍
Thanks Ray! Now there is quite a lot of "immediate" repair work where I can't make a video. But I'll try to make a new video soon!
@@viktorlieszkovszky9683 No pressure Viktor. I love your work. I lean alot from you! Thanks! Ray👍😎
