You know what i miss from all these hip and modern pixel art editors? - Tweening. Motion tween. Shape tween. I have no idea why nobody's replicated/reproduced tweening after Flash yet. Think about that for a sec. It's been 20 years since Flash showed a little feature called "tweening". And not a single one (1) mainstream/indie tool has offered 'tweening' as an animation feature in a pixel art program.
Tweening for vector shapes will be implemented for 2.0 :)

Nice. Still don’t forget it’s missing some core functions that also need to be worked on. All those new features are nice but unless other things are fixed it’s still not an alternative to other pixel art software
To what other pixel art software are you referring? Please name some -- I'm in the market for such. As an old Apple IIGS artist, I find many to be disappointing or with unfortunate UI choices (Aseprite falls into this category -- and yes I bought it). It's like absolutely nobody making these tools has ever used Deluxe Paint 4 or 5. Thanks!
@@koitsu2013 yeah I have hard to get aseprite UI sadly as it very great in many way. Depending on what you want to do you have - Multipaint - DPaint JS (still also lacking features) - GrafX2 (also so so UI) - Promotion (for me most DPaint similar but runs only windows. Or Mac through workaround. This is some that I think of the top of my head. Also I must say that while lacking sole featured I now pixel mostly in photoshop. Which is odd as aseprite is more Photoshop style shortcuts and modifiers. And I just don’t get comfortable with it. I would say start checking out Promotion. The ui with panels and all is old skool but you can just disable them. I mean features like layer needs a panel so if you want to go DPaint minimal it’s possible but some features then gets slower to use. But control and shortcut wise promotion is a true DPaint clone
