Jed The Fish - Vagina Man
มุมมอง 1992 ปีที่แล้ว
The first time I heard this was in 1993 when Jed said "I have a tape in my car with one of the sickest things I have ever recorded... wanna hear it?" to which I responded "YES!" We went to the parking garage and I sat there listening and laughing until I was crying. We always called this "Vagina Man". Jed, Sluggo and Tami all have played it on the air as a dare. (ahh the good old days!) In 94 w...

Seems funny that I first found this upload on October 27th, almost exactly 38 years after its broadcast.
So what you're saying is a cosmic thing led you here? 🤣 Sorry could not resist. Glad you found it hope you enjoyed it. :-)
Here is Charlie Tuna when he was a DJ at KHJ-93 in Los Angeles. 93 KHJ - Charlie Tuna - 12th June 1969 th-cam.com/video/O4M6ca_smmk/w-d-xo.html
I remember watching this video when i was 4 years old, now im 10
JedMM FishMMM let's go to traffic with Bufffeeey Helmut! Oh I'd give my right...whatever to be back there. And I'd drag Kennedy's weird azz right back with me.
Old School, Thanks for the video. I hit the like, and am following. 21 South Carolina Merry Christmas.
Welcome UDX-21! Happy HoLiDaZe! ;)
I was on this show once, please post more if you have any.
What a line-up - Jed, Dusty, Sam - killer
Tell it, Dusty!!!
OMG Imaginary Friend RIQ, I never knew Jed did a show on K-Wave. No wonder it took The Good Lord to cleanse the facilities!
I vaguely remember when radio stations could interview an artist in studio
0:19 Barely hear Sluggo! That’s a first! Her stories I remember not like they happened yesterday but the month before last. Sounds same as ever.
Wow! They even mentioned April!!!
Thanks for posting this. When I read an article tonight about her passing which was pretty vague but talked about her work in radio for such a long period of time, I naturally wanted to know more. I love that she kept up with not only current music, but music out of the states. I found myself having to rewind because I'm like who did she say? Artic Monkeys? Band of skulls? Somehow I feel like some classic British bands will get a sudden uptick lol. When i clicked this video, it had 11 views, it now has 129 views and i just see that skyrocketing
Excelente Y'all..! Love this...!! Thanks for posting Rick..!!!
This is so brilliant. Also quite nice to hear Riq.
I was told Dusty would chew up and spit out engineers (board ops) at KLOS. I was scared of her at first until I beat mixed a segue from Van Halen to Joe Walsh’s “Life’s Been Good”. She looked up with her jaw dropped from reading the trades with her feet on the announcer studio’s desk, and asked how I did that so well. I told her I was a mobile/club DJ and that was just natural. We bonded at that moment, later to conspire to get Pretenders, Devo, and others added to the stodgy conservative KLOS playlist.
Fabulous Audio..!!!
Great memories. Thanks!

Thanks Blank Frank, I appreciate the time stamps! 🙂
I have one of those (Gregg Labs 2550). In the process of restoring it now. Wish I knew how many of them were produced.?. Need to borrow a Stereo Generator card out of an 8100a to get it going.
According to Greg there were approximately 40 made. Good luck on your restore, share some video of it! 🙂
Oh man....need more!!!!
THE80'S!!!!!! Grew up in Redondo. Sufin', skatin' & KROQ. I WAS LOVIN" LIFE!!!!
This is so awesome! I didn't start listening to KROQ till the mid 80s when they had migrated to an all "alternative" format. This incarnation of KROQ is so refreshing mixing up contemporary non alternative tracks with some oldies but goodies. This should be the template for all top 40 radio stations but sadly they have all been consumed by soulless corporations and they majorly suck now. Thank God we still have college radio and internet radio.
Yaas, queen
Days before internet.... love it.
decades even! lol
great video , music sucks.
They don't fall by themselves, people do it themselves so that they fall and it's cruel. People are sadists
got any more?
Not sure but will upload if I find more. :-)
I have that same radio today lol ,, I remember those days
Fantastic radio! Hold onto it. ;-)
That is hilarious! I have CB recordings from the late 60's into the mid 70's on cassette but I have to find them. This was a great idea to post these.
Glad you enjoyed this. Let us know if you post your CB tapes. :-)
Not to be confused with current University of Arizona football head coach Jedd Fisch.
post more of this.
KROQ after around 1988 is when the overall music started it's downturn
wasn't born until '03 and my dad grew up on the complete other end of the country in miami but it's absolutely amazing being able to listen to radio that was around when he was my age, thanks for uploading! you don't happen to have any of the old kyot or phoenix transmissions, do you? everyone forgets about our little corner of the west and how influential phoenix fm used to be
Love it!
Scheiß Musik.
Thanks for sharing!! The good old days of KROQ!! It suck’s something awful now!! You can catch some of the old DJ’s on KROQ HD radio. Miss the old KROQ! 🖤🐈⬛🖤🦇🖤🎶🖤
Just the right amount of months
I needed this transmition.
Loved this station back in the day
I did too! My heart broke as the format changed and MARS FM went away.
APRIL was my Favorite!!!
Tower
It was always the music and never the personalities that made KROQ world-famoose. I am so right about this. I know.
I have a massive collection of vintage 80s KROQ digitized from original cassettes in FLAC. Stoked to add these to the set! Thanks. Would love to have these "unscoped" someday. We should trade wares.
Hi Myke... These were airchecks from the studio skimmer so I dont actually have a full version with music. Side note: often they are not scoped enough for the YT copyright bots so I do have to trim them down even further. Let me know if you post yours to YT I am sure I am not the only one who would love to hear them. :-)
Influential publisher Kal Rudman at the Friday Morning QuarterBack (FMQB) had a phrase he'd use to describe most any smash record that was just released: "It'll knock your dick in the dirt!!" I suppose truer words were never spoken when this Jed "The Fish" Gould clip arrived in their unsuspecting offices in Cherry Hill, NJ. In these challenging times we need Jedum Fishum more than ever! Today's "beige personalities" and "pedestrian playlists" just ain't cutting it. Thanks for posting this madness! My day just went "Out Of Order"!!
Wow….Joe Walsh on the ‘ROQ!! 😃
The 2000 and this box are some of the most misunderstood boxes ever made. Not many took the time to truly get to know the system and what it could do. There’s a good reason the 2000 is still my favorite processor to this day.
No misunderstanding. It sucked. :-)
Mobile D2 Fall in a Damages
Jed sounds like a different person there.
The Jed in my mind rarely matches up with reality.
So damn good. Miss Jed’s voice.
