I think there are still a lot of good managers out there but it's about following the leagues where these guys break out, Inzaghi has been revolutionising Serie A and Allegri is also doing great things there. There is a sense that a bit of your research hasn't gone beyond the main headlines, Edin Terzic has quietly gotten Dortmund into the CL semi-finals, then there's Sebastian Hoeneß who has done a great job with Stuttgart this season and the only reason it isn't spoken about is because of what Alonso has done with Leverkusen. Fatigue wasn't a factor in City's loss, they significantly outran RM players despite having most of the possession which is sus tbqh. I was surprised people actually thought Real Madrid would get out. They don't get eliminated by the same team two years in a row. It just doesn't happen. Even if City had a 33 goal lead, I would have still picked RMCF to go through. BVB will definitely reach the final and I very much doubt Bayern will go trophyless so they are the more likely to lift the trophy since Madrid will win the league.
