If you had to choose between Best Western Grand and BC Inn,which would you pick for a couple?
That's tough. The BC Inn rooms are nice, the coffee shop at the front is fantastic and so convenient. The area around it has a mini grocery store, nice pizza shop, BBQ, and decent food in a gas station. And, the food there is slightly cheaper than the restaurants near BW Grand. BUT, the BW Grand is closer to the BC park trails and shops. And, the BW Grand is a nice traditional hotel with a great buffet breakfast. So, I can't choose for you, since everyone likes different things. But, I hope that helps you decide.
4 pm already night time. The only entartanment is alcohol.
I bet 1/2 the year can be boring because of that. But, I love Alaska in the summer. 😍
They are NOT Extinct!!
Capulin Volcano is considered extinct. But, It is part of a much larger area of dormant volcanos. You can read more about it here: www.nps.gov/cavo/learn/nature/geologicactivity.htm#:~:text=Capulin%20Volcano%20is%20a%20cinder%20cone%20volcano%20that,the%20only%20volcano%20to%20erupt%20in%20this%20area.

If you think northern New Mexico is a boring drive, try driving long distances in the South. The West is so much more interesting.
Actually, I love driving through New Mexico. It’s the long, flat stretch of countryside between Dallas and New Mexico that can be pretty boring. I've seen a lot of the South, it has it's pros and cons. 😊
Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware of this and I've traveled quite a bit in Colorado and New Mexico. One warning, however. In your video where a man, perhaps your spouse, is walking with children on the trail, picks up something along the trail and puts it in his pocket. Unless it was trash, it's illegal to take artifacts from National Park property and can result in stiff fines and possible incarceration.
Good eye. I didn't even notice him do that. He's a geologist, so loves a rock. But he knows he's not allowed to do that now. 🙂

I love the all in one bathrooms. The ones with the sink outside of the bathroom make the room feel cheap. Great video BTW.
Thanks! Since I’ve been vacationing with kids for 12 years, I look for the all in one bathrooms just so they can sleep while I shower and get ready. Makes life so much easier. 😊

We spread my great grandmas ashes there. One of the most beautiful places on earth. I can see why that was her request.
