The issue is if she can never forget her first love and feels it can never be forgotten, then she should not get married. Simple. Yes her husband loves a woman still, but that's the thing. If he feels he can never forget his first wife, then don't marry a second one. Both are in the wrong. Thing is women had less choices back then. Family would force her to marry someone. There is no glorifying a lost love when you are already married. It's not something to glorify but rather something ugly. In present times nobody will agree if you say "My first love will always be with me in my heart and soul" Literally no one will marry such a person and if they come to know after marriage that they have another person in their heart, only divorce awaits them. Both Parvati and her husband are wrong. Both can't love each other. This is no decent marriage. How can anybody be with someone who loves someone else?

VAIN people who constantly worry about izat of family and pin it on women, will find that IT'S NOT bahar dunia wale who ruin the family. The family's izzat/respect/honor is wrecked by the family insiders (nearest and dearest members). These izzadar families are concerned about dunia wale ke samney izat, can never offer respect to anyone in the family.
