The official music video was released the next day after the Pepsi commercial video aired. It sparked outrage by conservative religious groups, and Pepsi simply null and voided the deal. Originally, the deal was to sponsor her tour and following singles as well. The controversy only helped Madonna sell more copies of her single and album, so with or without Pepsi, she still reaped the benefits from it all. She kept the money and due to the controversy, it only gave the song even more attention then she ever imagined.

Mj has always been everywhere, whether on TV or radio (unfortunately in the press) I think that our generation has heard his songs involuntarily since childhood !!

40:33 Mj is an incomparable and indefinable artist but I don't think listening to his music can stop anyone from enjoying other music from the 80s ? This period had so many good singers and wonderful rock, pop or electro groups that it would be a shame not to look further than in the great classics :)

Thanks for this insight into how you discovered Madonna. It's always nice when people are open-minded and not prejudiced about older music just due to its age. If you enjoy MJ & Madonna's work in the 80s, I think you'll be interested to see how they evolved in the 90s too. Both were still very active & successful then. In fact, I would say Madonna's creative peak is in the late 90s, with albums like "Ray of Light". Have you seen the "Truth or Dare" documentary (called "In Bed with Madonna" in some countries)? I thought you were referring to it at one point. It goes behind the scenes of her on the Blond Ambition tour, which was promoting the Like a Prayer album. It's also worth watching "I'm Going to Tell You a Secret" from 2004 if just for the contrast. This is her on the Reinvention Tour 14 years later, and it's quite different seeing her married with children as opposed to the young single woman in the first doc.

It's a great opportunity to develop shadow functions mainly Ti and Se. I recommend studying others ways of doing engineering (Te) then create and refine your own methods and systems based on that (Ti). As going straight to Ti tends to be much harder than Using the aid of Te first For INFP's
