Content Switching is the unsung hero of Application Delivery on NetScaler. Some customers - when setting up Load Balancing, will use a Content Switch by default. I think this is something along the lines of what Jan mentioned here. If the need arises later to do some switching based on content, then IP addresses dont need to be moved around. In addition to that - by using something like SYS.VSERVER("MyLbVServer").RESPTIME.GT(100) - you can trigger a policy to fire if the average time to first byte of response exceeds 100ms. It is an absolute goldmine for Site Reliability Engineers giving them resilience on so many levels.
