This info is awesome. I had the rv repair place fix two of them when I had it in for other repairs. When another one broke, I found this video. It worked, sort of. The latch didn't come back out so I'm sure it's broken. But at least this video showed me how to fix one. Thanks.

I like your mod Handyman, I did it to my Vegas with a little change. Moved the mirror heater and mirror adjustment switches up to the dash next to the light switch. I just left the drink holder in place and the rest is a opening for all the knick knacks. I also added a door on the back of that console and put storage underneath the cubby hole next to the speaker for bigger items. Watching and waiting for your next mods, keep up the good work.

Modern Kenwood double din is shit show. Won't fit most double din openings

Hi there I have the Jensen Radio Model VR187(double din)...is and older model from 2007...also in the back of my Motorhome is a camera Voyager NTSC system Model VCCT 130 ...i will like to replace the Deck with a newer modern style system ...but the camera connections are not compatible with the new Deck ...camera cable has video output one pin...another pin tilt control power DC 9V...ground...Audio output pin ..and DC 12V pin....is and plug that i can buy for the camera cable ...so i can connect to the newer deck ..the voyager model csw3 multi camera controller need it in this case also ..?

Most guys I know that added a smart lock to their RV put the lock on the wall instead of the door. Same holes, but then you don’t have to worry about your screen.

my axxera / tablet radio is frozen and i have tried everything to get it working. cameras are working though. how about this idea a new axxera radio cheap older modle to mount on the doghouse and old radio left in place for camera tablet use. the front end of rv hits so hard the radio is going to keep failing, cheap radio disposable. how difficult do you think connecting to existing rca from bare wires of new radio? should i try soldering on rcs or cutting the existing rca and connect bare wires?

My axxera radio was not working and i disconnected all plugs and put back in to find all is working now then two minutes latter the dash sockets stopped working and the radio only powered on by plugging the gps into the dash sockets that have 0 power. . any advice?

I have a question! My 2016 Thor vegas cigarette light won’t work! I have replaced the 20 app fuse did not help! The wires white and blue/ white are not when plugged in any help! There are two sets of wires!Which set go to the lighter and where does the other set go! Please help its driving me crazy!

This series has been extremely helpful on a task that at first blush seems quite difficult. Thank you so much for making this available. I will be replacing my radio this week!

An alternative is to mount the latch so that it works when the provided catch is installed. Measure from the top inside down, adding together the depth of the catch, a small margin, and the distance from the center of the latch to top of the latch in the "unlatched" position. Drill the hole accordingly.

Ah Axxera....worse receiver ever made! Ours died out and I had to replace it also. Trouble is my new one didn't come with a trim ring which I found rather strange. I was able to use the old trim by snipping off the tabs (which didn't fit the unit either) and some tiny strips of 3M tape to hold it in place. I like the better view of the rear camera now.

Total respect on your craftsmanship but for the amount of work and possibilities of making a mistake, no thanks. I just have a basket on the floor behind the console because I'd be to chicken shit to give that a try! Good job though!

Slick install. I would have been fighting with a full sheet. Love the template method. We have the identical rig for just over a year now. Definitely going to give this a try. Question: at the end of the video, were you insulating elsewhere? I can't quite make out or picture the engine compartment with the doghouse off. Thanks for posting and happy travels!

This video is TERRIBLE! It says Replacing a JensenJV212T but "He Doesn't Show How To Take It Out, or Put the New One In"!, but he doesn't show you how to take it out, or put the new one in. He does a somewhat fair job of showing you the re-wire, BUT FIRST YOU HAVE TO GET THE JENSEN OUT!

I watched this several times because it was so thorough! I am finishing the install in my Toyota Tundra, running the USB wires to the back of the radio, but while I was reading the comments, at the very end I saw the USB wires solution you did! Nice!
