@@FindingHope_AMDG I feel led to say this to you: Dont be too hard on yourself. You don't have to be perfect or rope yourself into any set schedule (with the accompanying pressure of: What's my topic for next week's video?) If you wanted, you could always post when there is something on your heart to express I feel you are sincere and open to dialogue, which is sadly not the case for many of the youtube Christian platforms. Openess is what opens others.

I could definitely see that being a possibility, when the time is right. But for now I'm looking forward to a much-needed break.

@@FindingHope_AMDG Honestly while I'm sad cause I just found your channel yesterday and it's meant a lot to me already, I think that's so wise, cause for so many TH-camrs it's just relentless videos and becomes a grift...unfortunately happening to ex-New Age TH-camrs and it feels like it cheapens the message.

When we stand firm and resist the enemy - especially at the very start of a temptation - the enemy has no power over us. Praise God! I pray these rules may continue to help you navigate the spiritual life and your walk with our Lord with greater awareness, clarity, and understanding. My talk with the teens last night went really well, thanks be to God! The Holy Spirit was definitely present and spoke through me. It was a great blessing to share a bit of my story with God’s children and remind them about their true identity in Christ - thank you for the prayer!! 🙏🏻😇

Great show! But curious how specifically it helped you in your transition out of New Age?

I saw TH-cam testimonies of others transitioning out of new age, I never read the Bible. I bought one. Then happened to watch the series out of curiosity and loved it. Then I looked up the stories in the Bible and read them. I did energy healing work but I felt like I was on the hamster wheel. I now acknowledge Jesus as the master healer. I have felt much peace since then. Prayer and scripture study is something I now strive to do daily. But I have also had dreams of the adversary bounding me since I’ve started coming closer to God. And the spiritual warfare is real. @TheGreatGanddini

Praise God your eyes have been opened to the Truth! The spiritual warfare is definitely real, especially for those of us who have come out of New Age. Hi Ulrike - The crisis is being handled, but still being worked out. Not resolved yet. Perhaps I'll share more once, Lord willing, it is fully resolved - if the Holy Spirit guides me to do so - but prayers are definitely still needed. I fully understand the obstacle in trusting again. Coming out of the new age and understanding the deception that we were a part of is a traumatic experience. The last thing we want is to be deceived yet again. So we need to be patient with ourselves, as our Lord is, and ask Him to heal our wounds and our brokenness. His love is gentle, yet firm and unwavering, and He will present himself to us to the level that we are willing to open our hearts to Him. I know it's scary and you are definitely not alone in your reservations, but if there's anything I know it's that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and if there's anyone I can rely on, it's not myself, but Him. God is perfect Light and in Him there is no darkness at all. Praying for your continued healing and deepening relationship with our Lord Jesus. Have you heard of the Surrender Novena? Hi Annie - Yes, your observation about anti-Catholic rhetoric amongst many Protestant ex-New Agers became very apparent to me early on after I was saved out of new age as well. I’ve come to a few conclusions as to why this is. One is that most ex-new agers who come to Christ first stumble upon videos from ex-new agers Steven Bancarz and Doreen Virtue, who are both Protestant/non-denominational, merely due to the fact that they have large audiences and therefore viewership. So naturally most people tend to follow suit and go down that path as well. Secondly, it is part of the nature of Protestantism (it’s in the name, Protest-antism) to be in protest against the Catholic Church. So it’s in their roots, ever since they split from the Catholic Church, and naturally their anti-Catholic sentiment often (but not always - there are definitely some charitable Protestants out there) continues to this day. Part of my inspiration for starting my TH-cam channel also came from a desire to combat this unfair representation of Catholics in the “new age to Jesus” online space. So I’m so glad to hear you found my channel! I keep hearing from more and more Catholics expressing the same sentiment, so it’s been a nice confirmation. As far as going on Sarah Jane’s channel per your suggestion to shed light on this - I will bring it to prayer! And yes you should definitely look into the 14 rules for discernment, I think it will serve you well. @@FindingHope_AMDG Watch her testimony and see what you think... She is very sincere and kind (as was her response to me when I brought it up) I think I commented under her first live video. It doesn't strike me that she sees things that way. My dad was first generation, my grandparents were Jews from the same shtetl in Kyiv. I was not baptized Catholic until I was age 5. So my story is not a straight forward Catholic one either... Also I went for a year to a Quaker school [I admire them] which was very formative. Thank you! I wil pray for you too. @@FindingHope_AMDG Lastly I think it may be helpful to make a video deciphering these rules of discernment and connectiong them with life (The language is confusing). If anything I think Catholicism is not so good at that. I spent my youth in rituals I had no understanding of, and I daresay many Catholics stay this way.And it's true you are not encouraged to read the Bible (just the weekly misselette) or think for yourself. That's where my brief time with the Quakers was helpful :)

One of the things I’ve loved about starting this channel is getting to constantly hear from newly saved people like yourself and seeing how God is continuing to work in people’s lives. I pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to guide you and lead you to the fullness of Truth in Jesus Christ, and that you use this time to build a strong foundation in your faith so that when the tough times come (and they will), you won’t be swayed. Year 1 for me was not without its challenges, but I was so on fire for the Lord and I think He kind’ve spoiled me and poured out so many graces on me in Year 1. Year 2 is proving to be extremely difficult. The graces are still there, but I feel my faith is being tested, which is why I felt compelled to make this video and share some of these reflections. I appreciate all the work you do in providing this great content for people like me who are newly embarking on our faith journey. Of course since I am new, I have an unquenchable fervor now, but my path will have ebbs and flows and we will all encounter times of great distress, like you are experiencing now. Life is still life, after all. But wow, it is no nice to have an anchor in God now. I was lost at sea for 35 years before Jesus. Another thing I wanted to share in light of your Catholic faith is the two things were actually quite pivotal in my journey to Christ: Thomas A Kempis' The Imitation of Christ and a podcast called The Exorcist Files (this opened my eyes to the fact that my practices of connecting to the spirit world were actually demonic). I am saddened that there is such division between various Christian denominations, it's a reflection of our fallen nature to be divisive like that instead of one body, one church under our Lord Jesus. But anyway, love your content, keep up the great work. Praying for God's peace in your life.

​@@susie1361 Thank you so much, Susie. I just went to confession today and thanks be to God I was filled once again with the Lord's overwhelming mercy and love. I believe the Lord is teaching me to have a much deeper appreciation and gratitude for His consolations, as all consolations are truly gifts from God, not to be taken for granted. He's also reminding me that whenever I'm experiencing a period of desolation, He will soon console me again… and like you said - no matter what, so long as we cling to Him, our immovable anchor, we can have peace even amidst the storms. Thank you, Jesus! I’ve heard much about The Imitation of Christ but I haven’t read it myself, yet. Also I don’t think I’ve heard of The Exorcist files, but I always learn so much from listening to a good exorcist, so I will definitely have to check it out! There’s so much richness in the Catholic Church, it’s unfortunate it's so often misrepresented. But I’m glad to hear these Catholic resources were fruitful for you in your Christian walk, thank you for sharing! :)
