Can anyone help me? I have an 08 sts that worked then sat for about 5 months and now itll crank but not start. Im pretty positive its getting fire and air, not fuel though. Ive changed the fuel filter. Oh and the code reads throttle body something.?

Good mechanic. First check what comes with the new part them remove gaskets damn ass. What then well we got to go back to the auto parts store. If your lucky they have if not next day to order it. Great mechanic.....

Was the battery disconnected before doing this?

2004 CTS v6 throttle body issues resulted in replacing it 3 times thinking they were defective..problem solved...clogged PCV valve resulted in oil coating throttle body... :-)

question I have a 2004 cadillac srx changed the throttle se sorry took to the agency to get it reprogrammed and the car still has the same trouble accelerates on it self when you turn it on any suggestions

My 2008 STS also has that clicking sound when the car is off. Its been doing that for years. A few days ago, I was losing power, reduce engine power was displayed. I noticed that my front passenger window was not able to go up after I parked. The other 3 windows failed several months ago. When I try to start my car the next morning, the battery was dead. I jump started it for about 20 mins, it would not start at all, just the radio and lights came on. Did this happen to you? Thank you so much for your video. I was about to order the part until my car is unable to start. This video will save a lot of STS owners hundreds of dollars.

Having the same problem, Cadillac dealership told me $600+ dollars. After looking at this, I can order the part + gasket & do it myself. Thanks Curt and Ben.

What were the symptoms for u to know it was bad? Could you have just cleaned it? I have a 2008 STS and keep getting engine power reduced and this is my second suspect . Did a thorough once over of the wire harnesses.
