Now that the Wigens is built and test flown we begin our 4D journey. I am flying 2S in this video with an 8 in. prop so it is not an ideal setup. I had some throttle curves that Al Mostek had given me programmed into my Radiomaster but it was nowhere near enough power to fly the plane because he is flying 3S. I reprogrammed to a straight -100 to 100 curve so I could get enough power to try the ...
RA Cores Wigens Z-250 maiden flight

This is the maiden flight on my Wigens Z-250 from RA Cores. It is flying on 2S with the completer kit which includes the Sunnysky 1620kv motor and 18A ESC that has reverse for 4D capability. It is flying on ELRS with a Radiomaster ER4 receiver and a Happymodel ES24 TX Pro module in my Radiomaster TX16S. I mention the CG being at 50 inches or so in the video and I really mean 50mm...lol.

This is my 3rd flight on the Align 470L using the Flydragon F722V2 with Rotorflight 2.0 RC2. I am flying it with a 65A ZTW ESC and the Radiomaster TX16s with EdgeTX 2.9.4.

Yeah, you don't need to nose it over fully. One of the cool things AC Glenn did at ETOC was a 45 degree downline and reversed it back and then flew out forward. I thought it looked cool and the ground doesn't come up as fast if you miss it. You've got a bigger propdisk with the 9" so it will stop faster if you bring up the RPM faster. Looks like you're having fun in any case.

Very successful for your first try. You were right, Al was using 3S in the video. And you should use the 9" props with 2S so you will get more power with the new props. Now I need to get my butt in gear and play with it

Very cool, Rotorflight is the future! Interested to know if the telemetry (rpm, current) is from the ZTW esc, and does it have DShot?
The telemetry is from the ZTW. As far as it having dshot I don't think it does but not entirely sure. I am running it on PWM output .

Looks like he's got it dialed in. I almost stopped that day but I was just too tired and kept heading home. It was an awesome day for so late in the season
Sato is always meticulous with his setup and it shows in how well all of his planes and helis fly. It also helps to have a well-designed platform to work with as you well know.

I am using the SFHSS receiver that Buddy RC sells with a Jumper 4 in 1 module in the external bay on the back of the radio.
