Me too, that's a very good question.

I just did some testing on both a modded world and a vanilla one. Even in the vanilla world, I noticed you got your directions mixed up (i.e. you said North when the coordinates and/or landmark shown were actually South or West), as well as the location of at least one landmark: Ruined Portal 2. I'll have to do some more testing because I stopped after my second failed attempt at finding that portal. In the modded world (with Terralith, Terratonic, and a few other structure-adding data packs), NONE of the coordinates matched up at all. I'm talking open ocean where at least a couple landmarks were supposed to be on solid ground.

Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. I always try to make the information in my videos as accurate as possible but it seems that on this occasion I made a few errors. I apologise for this and will update the video details to advise viewers of the correct info. As regards the modded world, I'm afraid I know nothing about that - I only play in vanilla Java but I would imagine that they could make a big difference to the game. Thanks again for taking the time to inform me.

@@pixietwo I used to almost strictly play vanilla Java as well. But as today's testing showed me, mods can make a massive difference. I did find a couple villages, ruined portals, and shipwrecks, but most of the coordinates and contextual terrain were way different.

Oh dear ;( I'm sorry it's taken you so long to find what you wanted. And that's why I'm making these videos. It would be great to start a new game with a Mansion right at the start !

That's a great question. Have you tried it out in Bedrock? Just got a friend to try this and apparently, as long as you can get the co-ordinates for the game (by going into "Settings, Game, World Options, Show Coordinates") you should be able to follow my video to get the same results. Good luck.

I don't think it's possible to spawn on a mushroom island and spawning in a village within view of a mushroom island is fairly rare.

Hi, thank you for your comment. I've taken another look at the colours to compare them and I can' t see any noticeable difference. When I made the video I tried to be as accurate as possible. Of course, it was four years ago and it's possible you are right, there may be a slight difference. If there is then I apologise if I inadvertently misled you. I wish you well with your Minecrafting.

@@pixietwo thanks also ya there is still the chance that it is just me, but even if there is, it is not even noticeable without looking very closely, but other than that it still works just fine

​@@pixietwook so I just checked by putting everything directly next to each other and the only difference I found was that the sideways birch log is slightly darker than the white wool but other than that everything matches

And also the lilypad is unnecessary because the leaves are the same on the map
