Is there a giant net around the area? If not then it is not an aviary. An aviary has to be a building or some kind of enclosure to keep the animals inside.

Plettenberg Bay - an amazing seaside town on the Garden Route in South Africa’s Western Cape Province.

Birds of Eden is located 17km from the town of Plettenberg Bay. Plettenberg Bay is located 200km from Port Elizabeth OR 600km from Cape Town. In the are called the Garden Route of South Africa. www.birdsofeden.co.za

We do have African Grey's in the sanctuary. We just cannot take EVERY African Grey that people want to give up. They are territorial birds and will fight each other and yes they can and just might attack people coming into their "area" as well. We do have other smaller aviaries as well where we do not allow visitors to go and we even have some African Grey's in there. Please feel free to call us or come and visit us and ask for one of the Curators or for me directly - Vijver, and I will walk the aviary with you till you see one of our many African Greys. But yes we do say NO to a lot of people who contact us to Give Up their African Grey's as the well being of the birds already in our care is our top priority. We do hope that in the future we will be able to grow more and hopefully take more in and give them a free flight life.
