Why don't you title your video correctly???
Hi jw how can I test to see if my alternator is bad my car keep showing the battery symbol soild I just replaced it 2 years ago but autzone tested it n it says the alternator was sending a faulty signal so not sure if you no wat it could be n if there’s anyway to test my alternator or something else ? Please n thanks
if you have a volt meter hook it on the battery and see what volts are running must be at or over 13.7 full battery is 12.7 also check with lodes ac on window defrost and hi beam head lights should be over 13.7 to 14.8 if not then most likely alt is no good
@@allencarter5709 thanx I’ll check n let you know any other ways to check if it’s the alternator or bad wireing
@@bryanwines3319 check fuse 3 and 6 also
@@allencarter5709 under the hood ? I checkd 1 3 and 6 n none were broken is a 200 amp alternator fit in a 2005 Lincoln town car ?
@@bryanwines3319 Don't know if it'll fit. If it'll bolt in and the wiring's the same then it should work. Same principle
The video is okay. People's comments are nice. Some honest feedback from me. I know it's probably easy to figure out and take a look for yourself and just get it done from watching what you recorded. But A few suggestions I would make would be to have a little bit of a voice over. Speed up the clips even faster while removing the audio and doing voiceover and close ups of where you're removing screws and clips from. I know this is a relatively easy job. But trying to watch these to speed up my process and eliminate guess work. Sharing things like the size of ratchets you're using can be helpful. Unless it's just different for every car. Food for thought for editing😉 Thanks for sharing the video though. Still helps 🙂
What tool is she using to take off and put pulley back on?

Does anyone know how to get the door open if it won't open from either side??? I cant take the panel off because i cant get the door open. (Rear passenger side)
The worst camera man ever
Thanks so much I’m gonna try to do this my self as soon as I get the part
Can i replace a side window from a sedan 2005 to a 2004 coupe honda???
2 and 4 door cars different size windows
Esta bien echo pero es muy agresivo para aser el trabajo p
Good video, but maybe talk, tell us how many screws, size, etc. 8mm, 10mm, door screws?
you really help me out today. didn't know about the screws in the arm rest
How much did you charge for this job
I honestly feel like it should be a fast $50 job if you can do it fast enough. But I know a mechanic shop would charge you more than that. It would probably charge you for a full hour. So probably about 100 bucks. Some mechanic shops might even lie to you. Charge you a few hundred dollars and see that it took a while. I'd say it's really up to your level of honesty and how much you really need to keep your mechanic shop running. But I feel like a good mechanic could get this done in a matter of 10 minutes or so.
Sorry to say but this is the least informational video I have ever watched couldn't even make it to the end.
SO I HAVE A PIECE OF SHIT MUSTANG GT WITH 221,000 MILES THATS MISFIRING BECAUSE OF SPARK PLUGS AND IGNITION COIL FAILURE .... NOW I HAVE A PIECE OF SHITLESS 2006 CHEVY SONIC HATCHBACK WITH 1.6 LITERS AND 47,000 MILES WITH A OIL LEAK IN THE VALVE COVER ...THIS SONIC MOTOR IS THE SAME MOTET THE CHEVY CRUZES USE TO UGH A SHITLESS TRAGIC MOTOR WTF E YO
Had to do that not to long ago
Got to change valve cover pan
If I would guess pcv valve
I need to check the compression on my 2011 ram 1500 with the 4.7 that has 16 plug. How would i do that the plugs are intake side and exhaust side which one do i go with?
i does Nott matter
@@allencarter5709 ok i just did a compression test on all 8 cylinders and i got a 150 psi on all but 1 cylinder 7 was a 0 psi
It is called a La Crosse, with an e on the end. In Canada from 2205-2009 they were called the Allure.
I just got a 2011 Chevy Cruze 1.8 and got some problem losing power on high speeds and sometimes uphill then afterwards will blow off huge amount of smoke in the exhaust pipe. When I park it and shut the engine it will regain power and no smoke at all. Will it be the same remedy to change the pcv valve?
Yeah me too really hope someone knows the answer
@@Strawberrylove0609 i hope so honest and good mechanic I just recently brought it to a mechanic change the knock sensors had a coolant flush and it happened again.
I have the same issue
Can’t win with these cars. I’ve had a used 2014 for 2 years now; its been in and out of the shop longer than I’ve been able to drive it. Most of the time, its been because I’ve been losing coolant. Now, I’m losing coolant again, engine is leaking, won’t stay on and run unless I unplug the air flow sensor, and I’m getting smoke from the exhaust.
It is much much easier if you just go ahead and just remove the coolant overflow tank, just remove the the coolant with a pump or turkey baster, and remove two small upper hoses and lower bigger hose, and you won’t loose very much coolant!
Thanks for the video. I was missing that hidden bolt behind the handle. Once I got that out it was clear sailing.
Huh ... what ??? Sorry can hear ya too good , I'm deaf from using my air ratchet all day long
Where did u get the value cover
From Chevy dealer
👍
The bolts break because they are cheap steel and they get brittle after hundreds of heating and cooling cycles and finally they begin to snap. And where is the pretty blonde that was at the beginning of the video?????
It's not an exhaust leak - It's a lifter /cam failure.
I service this truck all the time and sense repair of exhaust leak. no more problems. how do you know it is cam or lifter when you guess it can go wrong a lot of people do that and it is a problem for owner you pay for something and not fix the problem that is bad for the shop we take pride in our repairs and only sell what is needed no more but thanks for looking
Strip a valve cover bolt ..need an eazy fix try my gm approved oversized bolt and sleeve th-cam.com/users/shortsT6ZgiHpky6Y?feature=share

Thanks! Very helpful in replacing my friend’s door handle.
You're welcome!
I'm having the same problem what can I do? We was going on a trip and not running hot nothing driving normal but now it's smoking like crazy
Most likely valve cover needs replaced if it is a 1.4 turbo you have to check intake for orange valve if not there change both intake and valve cover
@@allencarter5709 really? currently experiencing. Have 2012 1.4 with exhaust use to just tick here n there but it’s been ticking for like the past 3 months. Smoking kinda just started but it happened so much and still ran fine with no codes. and now lately if I’m not mistaken it looks like it comes out the exhaust when im at high speeds. Getting it looked at today I work at Chevy and they never really gave me a real answer in the past but even with the oil when I usually park it’s just smoke slowly coming out the hood and ticks.
@@allencarter5709 oh and uphills suck lol the loss of power from the ticking is ridiculous.
Rhis is the right motor but I cant see how she got the tentioner off...
From Steve. I learned a lot from you about steering wheel pump, thank you very much.
Glad to help
i just wish we had better camera angles instead of his back the hole i have the same problem he is fixing I took the door apart to me i didn't install anything yet if I didn't take the door apart n watch a different video before this I would have no clue on what im watching for instance when you have to reach your hand in the door to release that orange clip so you can actually release the door handle because it connected too a metal rod to the clip and the clip is connected to the interior door handle if I didn't see that on a different video I would have been lost and probably broke the orange clip and if you know anything about trying to get parts right now its unbelievable hard. My opinion is if you're just going to show your ass while you're doing the work just do the work and get it over with. But if he really wants to help people out you should have had your helper that was with you grab the camera and get all in between so they can see what he is actually doing. But in all honesty I think you're probably going to get a lot better this is probably one of your first videos and you just need a little guidance please don't take these words ass a letdown take them as advance. thank you
Sorry about that was just starting the videoing for you tube
Nice job Thank you! I gotta do that today too! 👍😀
Have fun!
Id take that water tank off and out of the way!
Pinch me and wake me up when its off!! Lol ha ha ga ha! 😀

Thanks for the visit
Girls have small hands and can reach things i cant whith me big hands!
Put your hair up and away from belts while engine running! It will be a terrible accident if your hair gets caught in belts!!!
Nice!
Thanks!
Can we just change the gasket to fix the problem or it needs the hole pvc cover?
On some models you can just replace the PCV but with others, like this one, the valve cover comes with the PCV attached to it and it is not removable.
Unfortunately the PCV diaphragm is the part that fails and causes the issues described in the video, and this diaphragm is permanently sealed inside the valve cover (because GM engineers are soooo smart), which means to fix the problem you have no choice but to replace the valve cover until the diaphragm in that one fails. Rinse and repeat.
Tools falling all over the place, reservoir should have been out of there, all twisted. You still learning.
yep still learning have been doing for only 3 years
Thank you so much. Very informative seem simple to do I've already ordered my alternator your video will save me some money by the way I'm a seventy-two-year-old young lady and I am mechanically inclined
Glad it helped
