Memphis Shades Road Warrior Fairing vented 11” windshield for my 2021 Harley Street Bob FXBB. Went from a 15” to a 11” and it was a huge difference in wind buffering.

🤙nice
I’m same height, have a lowrider s and have always wondered what I would look like with taller bars. Super helpful, thanks!
Happy to help! Get em dude. They’re sweet!
Hi, nice bike 👍Could you please tell me how you achieve to put memphis shades fixation on your fork cover ? For me fixations are really too small.. and couldn't find biggers
My local shop installed it while doing some other work.
Who did the color match?
Got the paint from Harley.
How much did u pay to paint the faring??
Couple hundred dollars.
@@Johnatlanticism thank you
I’m 6’ and have the 11” vented and the buffeting is real bad over 60. Played with the tilt no improvement. Maby the 9” or 7”? Real bummer! 😐
Maybe a 9” would do it.
Sweet ride man.
Thanks!
I own a 442 , ordered the Altamonte grips, they should be in the mailbox today. Now I need that holster. My other carry is a Glock 19.Thanks for this video.
It’s the best setup. Still carry it to this day.
I like that you made it yours !
Yes sir!
Very cooL setup. I'm digging your tastes. I've owned and carried a stock 442 for a while. It's kinda my dog walking gun. I carry it in a Vedder pocket locker; I'm in much worse shape than you are & my gut betrays me, otherwise I'd def. opt for the PHLster.
Looking for appendix carry for Colt Python 2-1/2”
NOTE: you remove the advantage (comfort) of the revolver carry, when you make kydex on back of holster straight all the way down. Now it feels like a semi-auto.
It is formed and stepped down from the cylinder. It isn’t a straight line from the cylinder down.
Whats the brand of your grips ? I have a smith 642 and would like to find a grip like that in black if possible
It’s in the info section, let me know if you find it!
Thank you
Love it man. Excited to get one someday and take it on some longer trips
Started carrying a full sized Sig p220. Carried that beast for over 10 years in Minneapolis, Winter carry. Gained weight and started to carry a j frame in the pocket, Summer time. Lost the weight and the j frame stayed. Moved to Colorado and mountain carry is a G23 with a j frame as back up. Highly recommend the Baltier grip. Also the combat grip by Altamont is superb. You just sold me on a Philster.
It grows on you, I'm still carrying it to this day. Gym shorts, jeans, sweatpants, it does it all. Hope you enjoy it!
@@Johnatlanticismyou can clip that onto gym shorts? Without it pulling down? How’s the draw?
@@t3r083 These clips just hold really well. The draw it fine if you tie the shorts decently tight.
I love my 442.
Can you tell me the exact DCC clip you used? There are many. Shorty, Standard, Universal and SA. I really want to try this exact setup. I am using a Harrys Holster Icon which is awesome but it does not have a wing to help push the grip into my body
Sorry, I should have mentioned it, I used the shorty!
hey John, appreciate all your videos man. For your seat, is the logo color and stitch black? Also, did you add gripper or comfort gel? Thanks a lot!
Thank you! Yeah, I went black with the logo and no gripper or gel, just stock. It's a solid seat. If I could, I'd add grip next time.
Thank you for the reply, may I ask what makes you want to add the gripper?@@Johnatlanticism
@@AssemblyMassFelt like I moved around a lot without it.
the belt allows you to carry in every o'clock position?
Yes sir.
in hot humid air for example when you're sweating a lot: i notice immediately in pocket carry that there's condensation and or sweat on the metal. but with your arrangement it appears the holster completely protects the metal from perspiration. do you have any such issues keeping the gun dry?
I never have any issues, maybe some on the grip, but I usually just wipe it down at the end of the day. That and on top of keeping you gun oiled and protected. This is the best setup in my opinion.
Definitely going to mimick this build! Looks beautiful my dude! Do some range videos of it!
Yeah, it's the best. Still carry to this day.
How do you go with the mid mount controls at your height ? bars help ?
Yeah bars and my seat is custom so it's pushed back a few more inches.
How did you get a white road warrior fairing?
Custom painted
Straight edge X
All. day.
Ruger is still making LCRs. The trigger is still mighty fine.
Thanks for the demonstration and review! I've been looking for a IWB holster for my 442. Do you feel those grips help with recoil? Does it make it harder to conceal than the stock grips, which are open strap IIRC. I currently have an open strap compact grip from Pachmyar, but I also have a closed strap fake wood grip. Need to compare the two at the range next time.
I didn't even carry the gun with the stock grips. With these it still disappears under a shirt. I love this setup, and still carry it every single day.
I'm 6 foot you think this is a solid size?
Oh yeah, perfect.
also dig the milo tat
Thanks dude! I always get compliments on that one, hahaha
straight fuckin edge!
Super nice street bob! I have been hoping Harley would bring back the Night Train and your bike is about what I think a new Night Train would be. Just add forward controls!
A really nice setup. The last time I checked, the 442 is available without the stupid trigger lock.
It is! I do believe they offer it with and without.
Is that the standard hole pattern for the clip or the universal/height adjustable? I haven’t ordered the City Special yet but Phlster’s website doesn’t mention it being compatible with the Mod 4 clip and that’s what I’d like to have.
It’s the Mod 4 Shorty for the 1.5” belt.
My 642 eats up my hand. Gotta get a larger grip for it.
Yeah dude it's a must. Game changer for me with larger hands.
TRY HOUGUE GRIP FOR REDUCED RECOIL, LARGER GRIP BETTER SECURE HOLD MAKES YOU A BETTER SHOT, STILL CONCEALABLE
I got a 637 airweight but am gonna trade it in for a ruger gp100 🎉
BIG MISTAKE
Just picked one of these up except in the 642 stainless/aluminum/alloy/whatever it is version. I really like mine as well. I’m guessing your grips are the altamontco combat grips?? Having trouble picking out the color, material and pattern I want. Pricy, but worth the full grip. I’m looking for the right holster. I’m not as tall or weigh as much, so I’m wondering if this will work for me considering the extra length. You’re correct…Such a classic.
Yeah, I have the Bateleur grip. They’re not terribly priced and when you see the workmanship, you will feel you got a solid deal. Great company and product.
Consider SW 351C 22 mag. 7 shots of federal punch.
I hace laser grips but if you don’t need laser please try the Delta Ergo grip for your 442. It’s unreal for accuracy. You can also use a clip draw IWB
My girl weighs 202lbs. F u man. 😂
I’m sold. Great review! Have heard a LOT about PHLsters.. definitely grabbing one for my 38 airweight + p💪🏽
You’ll love it. I still can’t get over how comfortable and unobtrusive it is. Such a good holster.
Excellent setup, S&W revolvers are superb choices for CC! I’ve got an older Colt DS that I carry a lot. I prefer a leather appendix holster but that’s just a personal choice.
I’m really happy with it!
S&W Airweights are great guns, but Ruger LCR revolvers have a much smoother and lighter trigger system, making it more likely you'll actually hit what you're aiming at (an important consideration with guns this small).
@@kenhoward3512 personally I’m not a fan of airweights or the LCR I like all steel guns. And preferably older S&W’s. These are definitely more classy and the double actions have been worn to where they’re smooth as class, at least mine are. My 10-5, 60-3, & 66-2 all run smooth as silk for that dead-eye shooting experience.
Love my 442 in a sticky in my pocket
What headlight block are you running
Moons MC
Hey , how tall are handlebars ? 10"??
14”s!
I’m 6’4 , with same length legs. How are you riding with mid controls. I just bought street bob with 15.5 “ bars
My hips kinda bother me after a day of riding, but a few hours out isn't bad.
Неплохо.
Very clean bike! Wish they still offered the white paint in 2023
Can I get a link for those rear crash bars i can't seem to find them anywhere
Bung King's website should have them!
I have a PHLster City Special for my S&W Chiefs Special 60-7 and it's the best IWB holster for a revolver of any, for me.
Agreed! It’s a really great quality holster and blends so well with the gun.
The funny thing about cc is the same about tattoos. If it’s your tattoo, you’re gonna spend a lot more time looking at it, so you’ll notice imperfections that other people just won’t. The same is true with cc. You’ll probably spend a long time looking at where the gun is under your shirt and wonder if it’s noticeable where as other people will have no idea it’s even there.
I think we in the concealed carry community overthink it and we know what to look for, but any regular person won’t notice it honestly.
Just my luck the grips you mentioned are temporarily unavailable.
I installed an 11” windscreen on my 2018 street bob and it feels awful past 45-50mph. I see you went from a 15” vented to an 11” vented. You’re 2” taller than me so I ended up ordering a 9” vented and see how it helps me! 😞
Trial and error dude! It sucks. Haha.
Any update on a shorter windshield? I got the same issue with the 11”.
