Hey Gnome, I just started playing TCG Live and your video helped me get a better understanding of the roaring moon Ex deck! Appreciate the way you talk through your plays. Tried the free decks and roaring moon was the one that clicked the best for me since it has a sort of combo-esque feel to it. Having played a bunch of other CCGs, I was surprised how many cards/decks TCG live gives to new players right off the bat. Very fun game so far!

Since the 280 mark are all VStar pokemon, wouldn't Choice Belt just be better?

What is your thoughts on the Neo upper? Like you said the second attack would be nice but it’s not the focus. So why not feature singular way to use it for a potential late game spread to clean up multiple targets. Example, play grant/vitality band to hit for 140-160 with both 170 this leaves bolt, gholdengo, ceruledge and probably others with 100 HP. If they then hide these mon rather than focus them you can allow it and clean up later. Also, ogreporn if in active can be hit twice and knocked.

With the introduction of ceruledge now would not be the time to play gouging fire. Yeah it too strong and easy to set up. Especially using an energy search pro to get rid of your energy and brilliant blender. And I think blender is the best out of the two. The other one you’ve got the discard the energy with something and with blender you get rid of them right then. And ceruledge can one hit everything once you have the energy in the discard. And that is not hard to do. You only need one energy and by turn two a lot of times I’m already hitting for over 300. With energy search pro sometimes it is a little aggravating finding your fire energy. And with energy search pro sometimes you can prize a couple of energy and not get the full benefit out of it. Versus blender you’re guaranteed to discard five energies. Pro only lets you discard three extra energy.

Is there ever a situation where baby gouging fire is better then the new baby Koraidon? 180 for 2 colourless just seems better as you should always be attacking with an Ancient the turn prior. I guess if you used Entei prior, but seems less likely.

Turbo Entei with Ogerpon and Latias has been my go to with this expansion.

Should defo add jets and roaring moon

Not running a jet energy in a Gouging fire deck is wild, i mean its ok as long as Latias is in the deck, but sometimes it will help you a ton

New to pokemon TCG, before i buy decks im trying to find what i like and also considering after rotation. What decks that arnt the top meta decks do you recommend? I hate just copying the top 3 or 4 decks every one else plays

If i rember correctly theres a stadium that reduces retreat cost by 1, maybe it would work with this?

Wouldnt Latias ex be good in that Deck? You attack with Flygon, switch to Cornerstone/Mimikyu and next turn you can use the free retreat from latias to go back to Flygon. Rinse and repeat

I'm new to the game and just have some experience thanks to Pocket. I saw that Flygon was a new card and being my favorite pokemon, I had to try and build a deck. From the short knowledge I've been able to gather in 2 days, I thought having Latias in bench giving the free retreat for Flygon to come in, and Cornerstone+Mimikyu walling hits to allow the Hit and Run would be a good idea. I still have no clue what other decks do, or how a lot of cards work, but I'm loving slowly learning and adapting! Right now I'm using the free Charizard EX deck, but you best believe I'll build a Flygon deck when I get enough Crystals and Credits!

Fezandipiti getting stuck turn one is why I think this deck should run a pecharunt ex for easy switching. Can also run a single binding mochi so if need be you can hit 240 single target damage which is a great number to hit cause you one shot Terapagos, raging bolt, ogerpon, chien pao, and a lot of other common basic exs

26:02 in the last game you could have gone artazon into a bench deino and even ultra ball another one and energize energy onto them

I don't think you can actually Obsidian Ogerpon ex because of its tera pokemon effect. I'm newer to the game and I've been playing with a Hydreigon ex variant. I tried to take a big prize turn vs a zard player but I realized the Obsidian can't do anything to a benched zard. Digging the music choices!

You think dark patch could be useful?

I like your list better than most I've seen so far. I will say I like having a Vitality band in the deck myself just because you can knock out Ogerpon and Fez with Crashing Headbutt if I feel like you need to.

I would add Iron Thorns with Future Booster Energy Capsule --> replace Shellos and Gastrodon, and add Hisuian Heavy Ball to replace one Ultra Ball. I think it would be better.

Maybe add 1/2 peacharaunts so You can move the flygon to the active and avoid the poison drawback when the hit and run? Even a mochi put poisoned flygon attack on 170, perfect to twoshots Charizard and other treaths

Trying so hard to be respectful to the opponent, but they just sucked.

Which is better to pair Flygon ex with Haxorus? Tyranitar ex or Garchomp ex?

I've seen a few takes on this one so far, I like yours the most! I'm most excited to see the lake trio deck! seems like a neat single prize option

10:55 There is a bug that happened to me several times, that when you look at the opponent's card you get stuck on that screen without being able to leave or surrender.

I am so excited you did this deck. I saw that card and was way more excited for it than the pikachu. This and the new exeggutor ex

Very cool set. Admittedly I wrote off the first attack because it was very weak for no seeming benefit, but looping in to cornerstone or mimikyu is very smart

Does this strategy work in the physiqual format ? My friends don't believe this and said we must discord two energy too use the sonic dive, even if the cost was reduce by one.
