Waggonways and Salt Pans - amazing discoveries at Cockenzie!
The story of the 2023 excavation at Cockenzie Harbour - the Waggonway Project team, along with CFA Archaeology and Wessex Archaeology, were looking for remains of the early industries which made this corner of East Lothian such a significant industrial hub in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
First hand footage from the archaeologists trenches provided an up close and personal collection of footage, which we have edited into a 1 hour documentary-length special film.
