Nice catch, but i can't help but think when you know DB Cargo did all that conversion work for only a 14% increase in tractive effort was it all worth it? They would have been better off either buying a fleet of Class 70 (not the best looking loco but my god can they pull) or (dare i say it) a UK spec Siemens Vectron or a fleet of Stadler Eurolights IMHO

At 1.00 you take the line to the right to my home town of Whitehaven on a rather less luxurious Sprinter. Yet to be fair, these DMUs have always been quite reliable and the Inter City style seats and tables are pretty good if four of you are travelling and fancy a few cans.

It is seen leaving Bath 🛁 Spa 🧖‍♂️ near Bristol in Avon in the southwest of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. All class 166s are 166201-221 are currently wearing the GWR - Great Western Railway 🚃 livery except class 166211 which still wears its FB - First Blue livery. The class 165s and 166s are currently allocated to GWR - Great Western Railway 🚃 are in a mix of their allocations are Reading in Berkshire and Bristol in Avon. All class 165s and 166s are standard class accommodation only and used to have 1st 🥇 class accommodation on all of these trains 🚊 a couple of previous years ago before 2024. All class 165s and 166s have a toilet 🚽 🚻 , central heating, bins 🗑️ provided, comfortable seats 💺 and all accommodation is non smoking 🚭 because it’s prohibited 🚫 on all trains 🚆 around the world 🌎 and can cause serious 🧐 fire 🔥 and I’m not joking 🙃. Likewise that class 165s and 166s are second generation DMU- Diesel ⛽️ Multiple Unit trains 🚊 are over 30 years old which must be made in the years 1992 and 1993. Welcome 🙏 🤗 to the 2 car class 197004-006 that have previously been delivered to TFW - Transport For Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. They are the trains 🚆 that will replace the class 150/153/158/175 that will be off lease from TFW - Transport For Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 by around perhaps 🤔 the year 2025 at the latest. Class 197s are brand new to TFW - Transport For Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 and has a red 🟥 colour in front of the train 🚆. It’s supposed to be coloured yellow 🟨 is because the train 🚆 is visibly seen in front. Class 197 trains 🚊 are used on main and perhaps 🤔 branch lines across Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. Also toilets 🚻 🚽 on all class 197s. The 2 car class 197s are the 2 car class 197001-051 and the 3 car class are 197101-126. First class accommodation is available in the 3 car class 197113-126. Inside the class 197s, it’s nice 👌 and warm. Second generation DMU - Diesel ⛽️ Multiple Unit trains 🚊. 👍👍👍👍👍
