At first I was like you are dumb, then I saw the pace you work with and the final product and I approve as a produce department manager
@@tatumw.4425 that’s awesome thanks dude .
@ obviously you are not dumb, I was saying it in a fun way

La buena brother un muy buen trabajo
I like your cleaning standards, and not throwing away the potatoes that were broke out of bags and put back on the display. Nice sizing........🤣🤣🤣 Your dress attire and winter hat out on the sales floor is definitely not something that is not acceptable and never was in the stores and companies I have worked for in my 37 years in the supermarket industry.
I LOLd when he dumped the potatoes from the box instead of using his hands.
Thanks for uploading all these videos man. I got moved to produce 3 weeks ago after 10 years of non perishables (mostly frozen) and thank God I found your videos because I haven't gotten any real training and produce is like a completely different job compared to non perishable departments.
What type of knife is that?
Hell yeah dude. Thanks for these videos! I start in a few days as a produce clerk. Studying your skills!
We don’t really have any problems with fruit flies . But in the past we would use apple cider vinegar in a small cup hidden in or on the table
How do you deal with fruit flies in the middle of the summer? I’ve been cleaning non-stop and still see a few here and there! Great videos btw!
So r u the produce manager? How much u make an hour ?
That’s awesome how your cilantro is on the bottom of the wet-wall 🙌🏽 Ours is 2 trays, near the top of the wall and it gets so much moisture when fully stocked (I think because it is sandwiched/compressed in) Are you using a GoPro? These are some of the clearest videos I’ve researched for produce tips and stocking
@@ohokayofficial thanks…. Just my I phone .
What type of shifts do you think a person “closing produce” should work? Or until what time - if the actual store closes at 10pm. Do you let product sell down in the evenings or keep it full in the early morning?
@@ohokayofficial I would say 7pm for closing produce
My store makes us dip it in produce maxx after we trim
What size quick connect is this? I’m trying to piece together a hose now that’s now $300+
Bro can you come work for my produce team? They could learn a thing or two from you 😂
Where do you work ?
ممكن رقم وتساب ؟
You guys get loads everyday?
4days a week
Same here. We do around 90k a week this time of year. Do you put away the loads at night or morning?
@@Luna.toon. we brake it that morning. that’s great! we’ll be lucky if we break 40 in a week.
We break some of it the night before then finish in the morning usually. I work at a local grocery store in Missouri called Dierbergs.
Nice
Wow this is more like at the store i work at its called LIDL similar to ALDI a german supermarket in the US now . I rotate these amount as well 5-6 bags of these . Respect .
Thats understocked at my store 😂 try 4 of those boxes you threw down and you have to rotate the other 2-3 old boxes in that mix
Great job my friend . I can see what a hard worker you are
Have you ever heard of Acme markets ?
Start at the top not the bottom!!
no cutting glove?
I'm a Steward so these videos are helpful for me. Do you spray down the leafy green and the herbs as well with the hose or do you mist them?
Yeah it on a timer ⏱️ throughout the day
So is this trimming just to make the product look more fresh? And do you typically re soak some of the stuff?
Yes… I usually trim and soak it before I put it out on the shelf. In this video I was just refreshing the product. I’ll spray it down with the water hose , out on the sales floor.
Nicee display!
❤👍
Good one 😂
Do you have any tips or advice for a starter ? I just got a produce position. I’m new to this .
Just Work hard and lean to get better and quicker at tasks you see as difficult . Ask questions and stay open to communication. Thank you.
Looks like a lucky store
I’m new in my produce department in my local grocery store and really haven’t gotten any formal training yet, so these videos have helped me a ton! I close so I’m not sure if I’m supposed to cull throughout the evening as well
Eric can overfilling produce lead to shrink
Refrigerated produce like grapes ,cherries, apples, citrus, avocados will break down if over filled. Non refrigerated produce like tomatoes onions potatoes will not break down as fast . The light and anything that is put out on the shelf, the customer will go through it and beat it up. This will help it go bad faster. Hope that helps…
I was looking for a topic about this, because it happens at our store. The grapes + cherries get stacked 2-3 bags high on each other, and sometimes they’ll sit on display at room temp for the entire day - then place them back in the cooler by the evening. Rotating overfilled product is ridiculously time consuming.
Will the greens go bad if you overfill them
Full nd fresh
I’m a journeyman produce clerk for Safeway, you are definitely a journeyman yourself who takes pride in your work. Love it. You work with speed while still putting out quality products. Keep that up, I hope you move up in your company.
Damn you guys have a big department sweet 👍
I work in produce too first at Acme now at Giant
You are a great worker my friend I hope they gave you a nice raise
That’s a huge rack! How many employees do you guys have on crew?
Hello Eric. My name is Collin! I’m a journeyman produce clerk out of WA. Nice hustle!
I miss your videos dude !
Hi Eric is it bad to overfill produce and if so why ?
You only want to fill enough to sell, if the product sits out too long it will start to break down.
I’m going to make some new videos soon. Just been preoccupied the last several months…Thanks bud!
Thanks for responding ! Hope all is well
Just started produce at Whole Foods!
Nice…
Just started at Winco.
@@CruzerLovesveggies it’s kickin my ass! 😩 Whole Foods produce is non stop
@@blkcoverboy1049In the summer the pace gets faster. That’s probably what you’re feeling. Get ready. Thanks for sharing!
@@CruzerLovesveggies yea I’m on the wet wall and its constant replenishment of broccoli, squash, kale, bell peppers and others. Then it’s the constant questions from the customers! I’m used to a laid back produce section in other stores. Whole Foods is BUSY!!! but I’m there for the paycheck so it is what it is
🥰
You have such a big department. What time do you start in the morning to get the department ready to open? Also, how much help is on during the day? Definitely Seems like a high volume store. Awesome job!
