Agustin Cruz hey...first. it was a test ride. and my endurance and serously lacking. second, I out rode that bike and a year after got me a Domane SLR and now doing century rides...like the seagull century this year. how about you?
VERY DANGEROUS BIKE PATH. A gang of about ten black youths ambushed me, on Veterans Day 2016, and tried to steal my $1500 bicycle. But I got away. I was faster on my bicycle than all of them. This occurred about a quarter-mile north of the Anacostia police facility, next to the helicopter pad adjacent to BW Parkway. As I completed a police report, about a quarter-mile further south at the Anacostia; police told me that two other bicyclists were less fortunate, during that half-hour interval. Both had their bikes stolen, and one was taken to the hospital. Anacostia police confided to me that the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail is extremely crime-ridden. But they are powerless to warn the public, for two reasons. It is "politically incorrect" to say anything negative about a black community, and community leaders are trying to enhance the reputation by suppressing crime statistics. If you are white and riding an expensive bicycle, and riding alone, then plan on getting ambushed and having your bicycle stolen.
hi john smith i ride my bike around that area and was wondering, around what time of day did that happen?
wow, last veterans day i remember i was biking too along the anacostia trail but i got off at benning rd i think... btw my bike isnt great at all its a cheap bike... do i still need to worry?
John Smith I am sorry to hear that happened to you...or anyone for that matter. I only ride early in the mornings on like a saturday or sunday. I think people in general are naive to think a hidden part in DC is not crime ridden. but. if the police don't do anything...especially with the shortage of police in the city...what do you expect? I personally think there should be police on bikes riding these paths...but I have yet to ever see a cop on a bike, in DC, maryland, or VA spots I ride.
John Smith also...carry a gun. protect yourself. better to be judged by 12 then carried by 6.
pricekidd77 how bad do u think it really is? should i avoid that whole section of the trail from bladensburg to mlk ave? i ride an old looking cheap bike and only ride in the day

I have the same bike, same color, and also a 27 speed (27 gears) with shimano gears and bontrager lights, wheels/rims, and speedometer. I've had it since spring 2015 and have put about 1100 miles on it since. Im only 14 too

i think the 7.3 is better then the 7.2 but different versions have lighter weights, but not the same ratio.
+Zach i have a Galaxy Note 4. i use S Health app to track my rides, steps, etc. I do want a bike computer..but I already have a running log and don't want to start a new one. it may change soon. still on the fence tho.

+scuba collie thanks for liking the vid! it's been a definite upgrade. just being able to go farther with less effort tells me everything I need to know. you will love it. I would suggest checking Trek bikes website. i think they have more colors then the lime green and the black ones. happy riding.
Wow im glad ive seen this video! Ive just got back from a Trek dealer who only had this bike in stock in Green and my wife really didnt like the look of it and i realised after a few minutes that it may not be the best of colours. They didn't have any in Black but i decided to hold out until i can find a retailer with one in Black and after seeing your video man im so glad i held out as that bike of yours looks the nuts!!
it's a very nice bike...you should get it. even tho I'm not a professional rider this mid range bike is surely a huge step up.
