Did you guys end up fitting on Lightning Rod? I like this concept for a video a lot, it’s so hard to visualize fitting on a ride so having people of various sizes model it is very helpful! I think if you were to do reviews of other parks (maybe you have; I’ve only seen this video) you could include a little bit about how the rides you fit on felt comfort-wise. Nice video!

I went today with my husband & two adult daughters. I didn’t fit on any of the coasters, based on the tester seats. I’m glad they had those or my day would have been even more embarrassing. For context, I went to Walt Disney world with my daughter, last summer, and was able to go on every ride, including all the coasters, and Pandora Flight of Passage.

We’ve been going there for years. The ONLY thing my husband ever orders is the Shrimp and Grits!! The seasonal risotto is always delicious. We’ve never had dessert because the entrees are so generous.

Tellicafe is great food....

One thing that i wish you did was give everyone a push because, the ride operators do try to assist you within reason.

I didn’t fit test Thunderhead but I fit on the ride

It sucks, but the parks do not want to spend the extra money to engineer for larger people... this is one of the reasons I stick to knoebels, as someone who is 6'2" and 330 lbs I can ride everything, except the kiddie rides and kiddie coaster But after watching many of these videos I am thankful as you saved me a fortune... however I do know Tornado is a definite yes for e as it was made by Arrow Dynamics and they accordate some pretty beefy riders

I can do rollercoasters but I cannot do the pirate ships or any back and forth rides. It does something to my body.

I am 5'9" 250lb with 40" waist, short legs, long torso and a lot of chest for a man. I can barely squeeze on Lightning Rod. The rows with the longer seatbelts are better, but ultimately it is a fight to get the restraint down on any row. I got my first back off on Mystery Mine. I have ridden it before, but on my most recent trip, I could not get the harness down enough on my chest. None of the other rides in the park are any issue for me.

I'm way bigger than him and can ride thunderhead. So this isn't 100% accurate

I was so happy to find your video and had high hopes that more rides would have bench seats. As I suspected Dollywood didn't choose rides with larger guests in mind. We'll save our money and choose other venues this summer.

Great video to show why the big price together in is not worth for so many! My daughter is in a wheelchair and no rides accommodate her at Dollywood!

This was very helpful. The last time I was at an amusement park I didn’t see any tester seats. This is a really good idea.

Does anyone know if the trip is worth the money? Would love to take my wife here but it looks to be more of a family oriented (kids) place. Would anyone recommend it for a young couple ?
