GlenClosed ep.15 Aladdin's Couloir
มุมมอง 1.3K10 หลายเดือนก่อน
Aladdin's Couloir can be found near the summit of Stob Coire an t-Sneachda. It's perhaps one of the most well known descents in the Cairngorms and actualy quite easy to access being so close to the ski resort. The crew decided to charge down this one together with stable conditions. We headed for Cairn Lochan next which stands right beside t-Sneachda. Some crazy lines here to try one day, but w...

GlenClosed ep.14 Ben Lui (Part 2)
มุมมอง 2Kปีที่แล้ว
Ben Lui This is without a doubt our favorite mountain in the Scottish backcountry! Standing at 1130m This munro is amound the tallest in the south-west Highlands. The approach to the mountain starts at the Dalrigh carpark on the a82. The journey begins on with a roughly 5 mile slog along the road leading to an old gold mine. Along the way you will be presented with breathtaking view of the Ben ...
GlenClosed ep.13 Stob Ghabhar (Part 2)
มุมมอง 995ปีที่แล้ว
After first stumbling upon this place by chance back 2021, Stob Ghabhar has became one of our favorite spots to ride in the Scottish backcountry. The zone is fairly hidden but can be viewed from a far at the Rannoch Moor view point on the a82. The North East face of Stob Ghabhar is a deep and immersive bowl with steep peripheral cliffs extending over 180* around the Coirain Lochain that sits in...
GlenClosed ep.12 Beinn Dubhchraig
มุมมอง 1.5Kปีที่แล้ว
Beinn Dubhcraig is the southernmost peak in chain of munros situated west of the gold mining town, Tyndrum. It is connected to its northwest by Ben Oss and, GlenClosed favourite, Ben Lui. On this frosty morning in late January, after a sheltered walk through an ancient Scottish woodland, we eventually made our way up the north face of the mountain through wind, clouds and crusty snow. Upon reac...
Bangers and Slash 2022
มุมมอง 1.3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Springtime is when the mountains in Scotland come to life. The longer days finally arrive, the sun screen comes out and those north facing aspects, which hold the most snow, finally catch a glimpse of consistent sunshine. It all adds up to April being the best month to be on the hill in Scotland and Glencoe Mountain Resort is the place to be. The Bangers & Slash Banked Slalom at Glencoe Mountai...
GlenClosed ep.11 Rubicon Ridge
มุมมอง 3.6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Behind the summit of Glencoe Mountain Resort (Meall a'Bhuiridh), a bealach known as the Rubicon Ridge forms a bridge, linking the resort to two magnificent munros. Criese and Clach Lethad. These two mountains combined make up Glencoe Mountain Resort's very own backcountry playground. Named after the Rubicon River in Italy, crossing the Rubicon means to pass the point of no return. The ridge is ...
GlenClosed - Glencoe Special
มุมมอง 4.6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
After a traditional slow start, winter finally presented itself to us in the form of a blue bird pow day at Glencoe Mountain Resort. Patience is a virtue, but we’ve all been bursting to go fast with our pals and this really made the wait worthwhile With every lift spinning on the mountain, the queues were light and so was the wind meaning fast laps with crew. With its new 3 seater chair near co...
GlenClosed ep.10 Ben Nevis

Not far from the costal town Fort William, stands Ben Nevis. The mountain forms the western part of a range known as the Nevis Range. Beside it are three other munros, Carn Mor Dearg, Aonach Beag and Aonach Mor. These four mountains are amonge the eleven mountains in Scotland over 4000 feet(1200m). GlenClosed ep.9 Bidean nam Bian
มุมมอง 3.8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
A day up on Bidean nam Bian is a class adventure The area known as "Paradise" on the east side of Bidean has something for everyone. Mellow runs can be found straight off the summit, and with a bit or exploring you will find there is so much to play with in this epic zone. The walk up starts from the Three Sisters carpark in Glencoe. Following the easy to find path that takes you up towards Sto...
GlenClosed ep.8 Coire na Ciste
มุมมอง 2.2K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Snowboarding with your friends is what it's all about! The Ciste is an area found on the east side of the Cairngorms Mountain Resort. Below ptarmigan bowl where you will usually find the ski school out in large numbers, is the Ciste bowl. The run eventually narrows into a mellow gully and when the snow is deep the high sides of the gully make the place ideal for sending big banked turns and can...
GlenClosed ep.7 Ben Lui
มุมมอง 2K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This Mountain has been at the top of our list all winter. From all the peaks around the south-western Highlands you can see this Munro standing out above the rest. Above the huge north east facing bowl of Ben Lui is a wide array of chutes and gullies. The slopes are steep and sustained. The Journey to this place starts with a long walk along roughly 5 miles of country road starting at the Dalri...
Perfect
Looks rad - when was this?
It was this time last year. It's the last week of the season for Voss. Then we head to Myrkdalen for OpenKlasse.
Jeez - the narrows over the burn at the end! Mad to watch - heart in mouth stuff! (Instead of GoPro! 😆 )
The trick to not falling through is riding fast.
Gertin' down by any means! Haha!
Watching these in order from start to finish - lovin' it!
Yas bro im stoked ya enjoying the series. Hopefully more to come next winter.
some sick skills on show there! its a shame they didnt leave the park up and running!
Ooft! No room for error down the gully! Mental! Anyone get wet?
Hope there's good conditions this year! Hope I'm healed up so I can come along.....
This stuff is rad! I know so may of those spots - but we almost never have the snow to do what you did. Fair play for going for it when we did.
Cheers mate! we did another snowboard video in glasgow about 10 years befor that, ye can watch here: vimeo.com/18855879 It's always few and far between, chances to ride street in Glasgow. I got the spot list ready for when it happens again tho!
Looks fun!
🙌🙌🙌
Come on winter!!!! 😩
Amazing!
Looks sick been wanting to get up and envolved in the park at glencoe. Whats the best place to follow to stay up to date on these kinds of events?
Yo, follow @snowparkscotland on IG for all the updates on events.
@@connordangercarey sick, will do. Thanks for the info! Hope this years season is good 👍👍
The Best Shapers in Scotland.
Yas! Thanks bro.
This is dope. Filming/editing - the build - the event 🤝🔥❤🔥
Cheers Mike! Hope ya can make one of the events one day!
Lawers and Ghlas, brilliant fun on a good day.... Not 'too' hard on the way up and some great lines on the way back down, mostly back to the car 👍
It's always our first hike of the season. with the car park at 400m it's quick and easy! Still more lines to be found up there though.
@connordangercarey always my first as well, as it's one of the closest and easiest to get to (coming from Stirling), and dfntly worth a few hits over the season. Saw your Stob Ghabhar, and that's next on the hit list. Munro Hunting
@@markdormer7959 aye that’s a proper zone. Plenty lines to do over there.
how's the hike?@@connordangercarey
I know to u Dont get loads of views but u are my favourite channel, the effort put into filming, and sheer enjoyment you guys make clear is what makes your content so great ❤
Thanks for the nice comment! Means a lot to hear you’re enjoying the videos!! We didn’t have much of a winter this year in Scotland. Hoping for another one like 2021 so we can get back out there.
i actually can't believe you're not sponsored by anyone all got more subscribers i literally cannot wait to go to scotland and go snowboarding
You need to be sponsored
Scottish pow?
This was probably the best day ever at glencoe 😅pow getting topped up by the drifting snow all day. doesnt get much better!!
Randomly came up on my feed and absolutely loved it. Thanks for posting.
Sick! Thanks Brian. TH-cam algorhythm is working😅 hit subscribe so you see the new videos when the come out.
Ben Lui is such a playground! sadly the only time i got to ski it the vis was poor and the avalanch risk was moderate so we had to play it uber safe, still it was worth it for the combat skiing linking patches as low as possible below the bowl on the way out!
Iv heard from many people that it’s hard to get this one in good vis. It’s always clagged out with low clouds. Yeah it would be amazing to ride down to base of the mountain by the old bothy remains, but with the high risks of riding this place in deep winter it’s probably going to be a rare chance. Who know tho it might happen one day.
Wow...Awesome video guys.I know how steep that North Face is as I've hiked up the East Ridge and came down the west in summer conditions. The shot of ur friend climbing with ice axe and crampons and u could see people looking down from the summit was amazing. What a way to descend a mountain.😀👍
Thanks Andy! Its amazing how many people are out enjoying these mountains. Its rare we go somewhere and don't see any other people. You should try that route up the east ridge in spring time with some crampons and axe. thats how we climbed it the first time. Well, actually Richie and I were sharing a set of crampons😂 i woundn't recommend that tho.
Awesome- great footage of one of the best mountains in Scotland
Thanks Dan, Yeah its our favorite 😍
This was sick, dude! Really enjoyed it
Nice one! glad you enjoyed the video🤙
Top effort guys, looked bit sketchy in places, especially with no gloves on !
Thanks dude! yeah i enjoy not having the gloves on when im climbing, so thats why i didnt realise till we were at the top. not ideal but more reason not to fall :P
Yeahhhh
This needs to be seen more ❤
that inversion though! Unreal guys
yes boys Im late to the videos but this is sick! Inspiration for this season for sure.
Yes bro, come hike with us!
Great run…might take the hike in one day. Looked a bit spicy in the tight section….I would go slow on that.
Yeah it’s not a place for unstable conditions due to all the terrain traps, but In spring time on slushy consolidated snow it’s just fab!
A somewhat reduced squad! Bet the snows a bit harder now😂 Just read the the description. Alright gav, still picking up young boys on the mountains 😂
Beats hanging about wi u ya old bastard😂..what rock you been hiding under anyway?? Get yer board waxed n crampons sharpened!!
@@swanzzy touchè ma man. Been in Norfolk for a few years. In Nottingham just now. Last time i was on a board was a few years ago . Did some entry-level touring in chamonix. Whats the conditions like in Scotland just now? Might need to try and arrange a trip up this season at some point.
Ah cool..give me a shout if your back up.. gorms look amazing right now ..only reason I’m not there right now is av got a bad chest infection.. hopefully get up later in week.. Phil’s been out for a few yrs now with his knees.. still bike with him but hopefully he’ll be out boarding after his next op.
Sick

Looks good
Thanks!
Oi oi boys, how did you get out? Could you make it round or did you back up?
We hiked back up towards the ridge as there wasn't much snow for traversing out. But i'v heard you can make it back round the the bottom of the east ridge. Need to try it one day. Good thing about hiking back to the ridge is you can go for a second run or get back to the summit of the resort for a final hoon down.
Nice
You're nice ;)
noice!
Thanks bro! how's Cham?
@@connordangercarey been a sub par winter, but just had an epic long weekend after a good storm!
