Sketchbook Tour - 10 Years USk Portugal
This sketchbook is from 2019 and showcases the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Urban Sketchers Portugal. At the time, I often drew exclusively with a black ink pen, focusing on line work and contours. All the sketches were created from observation on location. It’s nice to revisit old sketchbooks; they bring back so many memories. I’ll be posting more videos like this-hope you enjoy them...
30 Days, 30 Drawings 🎨 Part 3/3
I drew every day for 30 days and here's the result. I show you the process of how I made the drawings. Each drawing is inspired by a photo I've taken this year. The goal of this challenge was to test my consistency, to see if I could draw every day and keep up with the commitment of this art challenge. I did, I made it! Even though there were days I didn't want to draw at all... most of the day...

BUILDING AN IMAGE
For the first time, I worked on a big drawing for a few days. I used to draw quickly and do it all at once. But this time was different and I documented the process. From staring at the wall, redrawing, sketching, expanding the composition to making a colour study, a whole new process to me. I was convinced I would "finish" this one, but I needed to take a break, put it aside and, maybe, I'll c...
Oil Pastel Painting Process - Van Gogh
Believe it or not, I've only painted with oil pastels 2 or 3 times before and the results weren't comparable with this one. I thought Vincent van Gogh's work would be a good starting point, so I made a copy of the painting "Green Wheat Fields, Auvers". I'm happy with the outcome and I'll keep exploring this technique. #drawing #painting #art #artist #vangogh #processvideo #oilpastel
(un)conscious breastfeeding - linocut project
A few years ago, I made a drawing representing a woman breastfeeding a baby. At the time, I was thinking a lot about the connection that is established, or not, between the mother and her baby. It is one of my favourite drawings. But it was made in a small size along with other drawings on the same sheet, so I decided to transform it. I transferred it to a lino plate and printed several copies....
I thoroughly enjoyed watching how you played with all the mediums! I didn't know you can make prints like that or make paper sculptures! The music is perfect too.
Thank you!! Gelli plates are really nice to make prints. I enjoyed making the paper sculpture, it was my first time doing it.
I really enjoyed watching the different processes from one medium to another, they were very well done and could have easily watched longer versions of each chapter, you captured how dynamic horses can be with your drawings. Thank you for posting the video
