Procedure switching & how handle high voltage switchgear
It seems like 11kv would incinerate that guys suit and face shield
Could not do this job. Gives me the creeps big time.
I thought it was another episode of The Backrooms..
OK short sleeve guy needs to not be there.
no way!!!!!
What an ancient hv switch! Modern ones have vacuum inside, which does not allow arc to happen. Those clothes will not ptotect you, if something blows up. I have seen it.
PPE + safety factor + mitigating risks + careful work practices 👍
Didn't see any switch, just a removal.
I had 30 years of 13.8kv breakers before 40 cal. suits and PPE. The change was for the better.
I love electricity but it's nasty scary wicked demonic at times.
I must say, when he finally withdrew the C.B. out of the Cubicle, I truly laughed out loud. I know the vacuum types are small, "but" our 33K oil are nearly twice as wide by 4x deep, and had a transformer (winch Dn) above. Three cubicle C.B. s +Rectifier(A Constant 4KA) per substation every 3.7 miles, I like the natty orange PPE but would have driven me to distraction. I agree about the "designer slope" (just to get the cable bend) and the dumb loss of illumination, and question the tiny isolation padlock (ours included a large thick yellow plastic "Do not Operate Tag" not that green blip which would split * if a C.B. s steel wheel ran over it (steel toe cap boots a must ! ). (The tiny transformer without a "oil soak" and so close to the 11Kv H.V. is so cute ! ( A use of a quarter of a room, and do I see Co2 feeds above? )
Lmao why did he switch with his right hand?
At 3:40 he wasn’t sure, that’s not save😅
I actually don't know what he is doing but it looks very scary if it involves a suit and a long insulated stick. Ive seen these guys in other situations where it was obvious what they were doing and its not for me even though Im an electrician.
Who is the dik head behind u
so was that an air or gas insulator module?
I honest to God haven't got a clue; how this man is able to walk with King Kong size balls!!! NOT ENOUGH MONEY IN THE WORLD FOR ME TO ATTEMPT THAT!!!!!!!!!!
Shock😂😂😂
Having tools behind you on the ground to trip over backing up can be as dangerous as
круто
Me too!!!
I love my job
I have no idea what I just watched but I’m pretty sure he was shaking hands with the Grimm Reaper
Why was he the only wearing PPE?
💞
I'm fairly sure this job will be replaced by robots. I don't want folks to lose their jobs but it's better than losing a life or limb.
I have no idea what I just watched. For some reason I thought about the movie Raiders of the Lost Ark. There was a scene where the bad guys disrespectfully open up God's Ark of the Covenant.
I usually watch drag racing videos on TH-cam but this tlime i really wanted to watch SWITCHING 11kV VCB Tamco. Yes.
Enjoy it😊
Where is his hook guy?
💖
You can tell he gets paid by the hour 😂

What is with the guy with no PPE and a useless face mask?
amogus
Tamco? Best not to be in the building when that BS is operated.
You are so brave 😮😮😮

I'd like to think that the most critical closing and opening of contacts could be done using a 12 foot fiberglass pole.
Why would the dumb guy with no safety gear, let alone NO SAFETY GLASSES, be that close to the switch over?
HV arc and you'll change careers
I have an actual question for someone who can answer it I’ve been working with my step dad who is also and electrician and I already know a lot about it I watch electrician u and many more channel but around 315 why do the lights go out
Thats the most dangerous light switch ive ever seen
My first wife’s cooking, got everyone’s stories beat. 33k ain’t nothing.
sus
Here in india if we began to do it like this believe me the operator will end up in the hospital cuz of the stress that suit will pose. We know what we're doing. We have to operate those breakers atleast 70-80 times a day. There are always faults occuring on the line. I'm talking about 11kV LT distribution line.
Good job! It would be better if the technician change his safety boots (having steel toe) to high insulation rubber boots. Think safe and stay safe!
very dangerous. they didn't dare approach the panel..
No thanks I'll watch from my computer
This guy is resigned to his fate, everyone who has ever had this job has been electrocuted.
Pretty sure I do not want to ever do this.. My thanks to those who know what they are doing💪🏻👍
