I hope she goes back to sing this kind of songs cuz they're so much better for her voice. During xfactor this song should've been included but they changed her music style to fit on her age. She was too young to sing this kind of songs but it's what really suits her voice. 😭

I think she was robbed of the win. Leann Rimes was a hot mess during the final song and then said she was trying to cover because Carly was off-key. Leann was either under the influence of something or was trying to outshine Carly by doing a bunch of nonsense runs that made it impossible for Carly to sing alongside her.I heard that the show didn't let her win because they had hyped her so much that people would say the show was rigged so they rigged it for her to lose. It was a shame she fell through the cracks and was not promoted.

I think it is good they did this for her. Carly works very hard and this will help all the little girls and well.. young ladies. I agree, partially. I do think she should have won for the reasons you mentioned, but as it is with most things in life... getting runner up instead of winning might have been for the better for Carly. I think that is what @B4thrwhitedragon is trying to say.

Runner up is what she deserved imo. She is too young to be in a contract where they tell her exactly what to do. Sure the fame would be nice, but it would overload her life and her schooling would be put last. With 2nd place she gets a recording contract where she can make her own music. That is the best offer she could have gotten. YES I am with all of you when you say she IS better than 2nd place, but she was only 13. :l
