How many cases did you use? 🤔
Great question in total we used about 4 cases!
Dude had control of the power
I am Paul Atredis
Hey everyone! I updated the description of this video to include most of if not all of the items we used in this build! Let me know if you have any questions! -Peter
Was that... Real???
@@MybodyYourChoice anything is possible when you believe
Lol
It would be advisable to fit some T class fuses and holder’s from those batteries.👍
I believe there is a single T class on the main line out to the bus bars! Thanks for the comment!
But i love the enginuity an the whole break down great job alot of hard work
Thank you so much, def was! And buying one would have been easier, but we like a challenger :)
@@RacineandPeter yeah I went an got approved for one with monthly payments of around 750$ 7 k down instead I just got a used RV year 2000 not the everything functional but minork repair here an there but for the most part great investment seeing all the hard work you put into this I was trying to build a diy system to power my refrigerator but was unsuccessful because the existing wire plugged to the RV system already so the reason for adding solar was to be able to run the refrigerator for long periods of time by itself I have a renogy 2000watt inverter a 40amp charger controller a 200watt solar panel an 2 12.v 200ah lithium batteries what am I missing I'm using zero gauge wire can I cut the wires to my refrigerator or I bought a separate one with 12v capacity in going to get a 12 volt fuse box an hook it up directly
If it’s a DC fridge you should be good just hooking it up to a DC breaker panel! If it’s AC you’ll want to install an AC breaker panel and wall outlets. Otherwise it looks like you have everything!
Why didn't you guys just buy the rv for 65.-70k
Great question! The best answer is I(Peter) like to build things and Racine likes to make her home her way and feel cozy! It was a lot of hard work and definitely a lot of learning but the adventure of building it meant more for us then just snagging one and running!
syper
Great video guys - I'm just about to start on my 2024 Transit Jumbo and your breakdown helps immensely - does your AC run off electrics or do you need to be plugged into shore power? With love from Australia xxx
Runs fully off of our battery! No need to be plugged in and it works great!
Also thank you for the kind comment!
😊 I definitely blew kisses back 😘
That’s how we know you’re a real one ☝️
Enjoyed this!
Yay! We are so glad! What part did you enjoy the most and would like to see more of??
This was a lot of fun!
Thanks buddy 🥹🥹🥹🥹

@@RacineandPeter yeah wiring you used for the batteries dc to dc charger everything basically lol
Okay haha, I will do my best to get a page setup so you can see it all!
Thanks
I just started on a 2022 ProMaster conversion a month ago. I'm at the point where I need to decide on adding a rooftop AC and the Velit is on the top of my list. $1750 isn't cheap but it is less expensive than some other brands. Are you still happy with your Velit and the power consumption and would you recommend it to others? Thanks!
On our 560aH batteries it last through the night to where it brings us to about 75% battery. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone! Wouldn’t have been able to do this during the summer without it!
@@RacineandPeter thanks so much. As much as it'll hurt I'm going to proceed and place an order for one. Given the fact that I live in southern AZ I don't see a way around not having a rooftop AC.
Definitely worth it!
I had to comment how much I enjoyed your video and how adorable you both are. Enjoy your travels and keep having fun! I just subscribed :)
That is so nice! Thank you so much, you are so awesome! 🥹🥹
Hey brother, great video. This may be a stupid question...but in what irder do you wire things... For instance, do you wire everything and then connect to the battery or do you connect to the battery and slowly wired everything??? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Not a stupid question! I wired to everything that I knew was going in first! Then I connected the battery, if I wanted to add something later it wasn’t to tough to wire out to it even after battery connection
He still got his pants on😔😔😔

This is GREAT! I haven’t finished the whole video yet but am enjoying it so far. Thank you so much for sharing your progress on your build. Giving much better insight when I finally get a van to build out myself.
Im so glad the video is helping! If you have any questions please let me know!
Wow - it’s absolutely incredible to see your journey across the states!
It’s been amazing so far! And so much more to go!

It’s so beautiful!

It’s been so awesome so far, super stealthy
Love what you have done. Am doing a Van promaster build. Would like to get a window for the sliding door. Where did you get the window for the sliding door?
Thanks! It was so much fun to do! We got it from Van Tek Glass!
@RacineandPeter thanks, appreciate it.

I don't think I want to look into it
@@pandaj5905 was the only part of our build that I said “I will never do this again”
As an individual with our degree in film production and editing I absolutely love your brutal honesty when it comes to these short tick tockish videos. No one understands how much time and energy goes into the process of actually building something beautiful like this. And also into the editing process that it takes to make a satisfying video for the masses. Keep up the good work, I am a person who wants to live in an RV as well someday. You rock thumbs up
That means so much to hear thank you so much for the kind words and it’s nice to know the hard work is appreciated! You should also totally do it, it’s amazing!
I think the video could be great! Saw things I never did before like putting in the swivel seats. But please, the music …. It is so annoying I quit watching at the 6-7 min mark to find another video that was more fun to watch. Putting it on mute is not the answer, either. The ones with no music and actual construction sounds are much better. Just my opinion ..
I thought about doing that for a video! Maybe I’ll re upload with those real sounds! Thanks for your feedback!
Most annoying voice over I’ve seen in a while
Glad you enjoyed it enough to comment 😏
🍍😮
Nope, just a tattoo for hospitality.
Talks to himself a lot!
Who doesn’t???
We used vinyl wrapped ACM for our roof and walls, came out allot nicer than construction wood imo.
We’ll have to take a look at an example of that!
so helpful
Top 10 tutorial right here
@@RacineandPeter top 5
Cost?
Our cost is in our full breakdown video but for electrical it was about $2000!
Is the charger connected to the batteries or to The bus bar ?
The charger is connected to the bus bar! Great question!
Have good time with gether ❤❤ Very good job God bless you good girl 😍🙏❤
Thanks so much! We’re having a blast!
You definitely voted for Kamala
With your electrical set-up, Are you able to run fridge, laptop&internet and ac at the same time? If so, for how long?
I can run it at the same time but not for to long maybe like 4 hours or so! But if I have a sunny day or turn the van on it can be longer. If it’s to hot I just choose to work in a coffee shop or book store!
@@RacineandPeterthanks!
You didn't mention how long the van was.
Oh shoot I did, and thats important! it is a 159" wheel base - the longer version of the van!
Love what youve done with the van m8. Does seem a lot for a van though. Got mine similar milage, 2020 model and was around $12700 if i convert £ to $. From the UK though so dont know if $42000 is good price relative to wages etc... Either way, youve got yourself a great van.
12,000 with the same miles is crazy! I wish we could have found that - most at that price were 150k miles+ and 10 years old! I Appreciate it!
