It's insane that this is still a pain in Windows. How this was not resolved this way during the pandemic when everyone went online makes no sense.

This is a fantastic piece of kit. It takes a bit to get your head around, but once you sort it out, the advantages are substantial. One thing it can do is completely replace the aggregate device on your mac. Aggregate devices are great, but if they get very large / involve a lot of devices, they can get a little flaky. I was using several MOTU interfaces, and ES-9 and LoopBack to create a 78 I/O aggregate device. It worked great 90% of the time, but there was intermittent flakey behavior. And Cubase simply wouldn't work with it. (Cubase seems to have problems with aggregate devices that have more than 64 channels of I/O.) Audiomovers EXCELLENT tech support provided some much appreciated guidance as I set it up as an alternative to my aggregate device (even though I was only on free trial too). It worked flawlessly, and - unexpected bonus - Cubase worked without complaint even though I configured Omnibus with its 96 channel I/O driver! Long story short: It solved a number of problems for me and gives me new capabilities with my existing hardware. Worth every penny in my case.

If you want to use AVB across a network switch, that switch has to be AVB compatible. There are pre-configured AVB switches available from MOTU or Presonus, or you can use an expensive PTP aware, fully configurable network switch. A regular "off the shelf" network switch will not work with AVB though. Another observation: while you can share high channel count audio between Macs this way, the CPU hit on both computers is considerable, depending on the amount of AVB streams your sending and receiving.

The MIDI sync/MTC generation/operation needs to be really refined. The last when I used it(which was some 5-6 months back), I couldn’t get it working at all despite referring to the manual and despite reaching out to the support. The methods listed in the documentation didn’t really work the way it was described and they had only one video tutorial they had put(with Pro Tools). The support executive at the time had mentioned that they’ll be putting out DAW specific videos for MTC sync and also updating their documentation with the same. I’m not sure if that has been done or if they have improved upon this feature. Just sharing the last experience I had with it.

Here is some feedback for you, starting with the positive aspects. The application is outstanding, with an impressive layout. I love it and can easily see how beneficial it will be for Mac users who face challenges with audio routing (unlike Windows users). However, there are some areas that need improvement: 1. When creating two snapshots (e.g., Audio Interface 1 to Omnibus A and another snapshot with Audio Interface 2 to Omnibus A), switching between them results in a brief delay and an audible click. These issues need to be resolved as Rogue Amoeba's Loopback does not exhibit such problems. 2. Interfaces with no audio level should optionally have volume control capabilities. This feature should be accessible via Stream Deck or MIDI. 3. Consider reducing the price slightly, as this could potentially attract a larger customer base.

A slept on piece of advice that more people need to consider. Too many Engineers and Producers think it’s good to mix for X amount of hours straight. You NEED to take breaks and let your ears rest, it’s not a mix hack it’s just how humans are.

That was the UA 2192 it got me too haha. I did a whole album at 44.1 and the convertor was set to 48k. There was a way to fix it but it was very difficult and I remember it took us a long time to figure it out.

Downloaded the trial, and when I launch the plugin and attempt to select the Inject IO Driver Out, it crashes my DAW every time. I've reinstalled the plugin/drivers and attempted to troubleshoot and it crashes no matter what. I'm using Reaper 7.09, the latest build.
