Can we use dead trademark?
Technically yes, but i wouldn't risk it. Account safety should be always top priority.
@DanielScholtes thank you
You have saved the design in the RGB format, but the pod sites required PNG format!
You're confusing the file format with the color profile, i saved the designs in the PNG format
You're just going through and giving opinions - where's the data to back it up? For all we know, the bad designs are outselling the good ones 🤷
Thanks for your feedback. I base my videos on my own experience of selling in print on demand for nearly 6 years. And yes, i partly agree with you - sometimes the bad and ugly designs can outsell the good ones. But that's just the exception.
Come on people get Daniels subs up, its annoying seeing these 666 subscribers 🙈
Haha thanks, i guess we did it
Sigh, I've committed almost every one of these mistakes (except the copying). I learned the hard way they don't work. Thanks for the good reminder. Happy New Year.
You're welcome! Thanks, you too!
Thank you for this information. The design that has on the title " for Women" the issue is from amazon. It happen to some of my listing. I write the title using the same phrase I have in the t-shirt but they deleted and they leave the part that is not in the design. Hope you understand what I mean
Yes, i've also noticed that in some of my listings. This happened to me when the brand and the title was the same except for some extra keywords in the title (in the video it was "for women"). Then amazon just removed these keywords from the title. I guess it's not bad for the algorithm, but it looks bad on the search results. So i would avoid this by having an unique brand name.
@DanielScholtes I will try to not use the same title in the brand and see what will happen. Thank you for that.
Nice Video Thanks
😅. Me to I told ideogram to make the background grey 🩶
People have become very lazy. I utilize AI to create design, is a sense, everyone does whether utilizing pre-made elements or AI generated AI images. I also correct all my images AFTER removing the background, using very fine detailed restore and remove.
Thanks for sharing your experience! It's always worth it to go the extra mile.
Nice, short and to the point videos. Great Daniel. Perhaps you can make one about selling from the EU to another EU country and EU to the USA. Like how to set it up, LLC in the USA or taxes. Would be great.
Thanks for the compliment! Great suggestion but unfortunately i have no idea about this topic. This would be important if you have your own shop, which i don't have. My main focus is on amazon merch on demand where amazon is the seller of the products.
some design is difficult to remove her background, what can we do like a solution pls?
The best solution would be to generate the image so that you can easily remove the background. My tips are that you generate the design with sharp/hard outlines and a solid colored background. Instead of black, prompt a dark grey background so that the background remover can easily differentiate between graphic and background.
Good reminders, Daniel. I went back through some of my designs from last year and found some of these same errors, ugh. It's easy to overlook them when you're rushing to get things uploaded for the big holidays like Christmas, Valentines, etc. In POD, for me, there is nothing worse than seeing a sale get returned.
Thanks robo! Yes, i feel the same as i'm also speaking from experience. The bad thing about the returns is the fact that most of the times you won't even get to know the reason. Sizing, the fit of the shirt or the print quality isn't in our hands but if it's something with the quality of the design, then you should absolutely know it.
@@DanielScholtes "If it's the quality of the design" I totally agree. BTW your advice to use a grey background has been very helpful. Thanks again.
Thanks for your video .im in tier 100. As of today i have 160 sales and the sign on tier up turned to "SOON"...so I am expecring to be tiered up sometimes in february...i do not think Amazon will do any changes straight after Xmas as they have to wait 30 days for returns...last year was same situation i was in tier 10 and they tired me up to 20 in Feb, even i have 10 sales in november-december....i kind of expecting the same but who knows. Particularly with political niche some people from low tier had a lot of sales. Not sure how is this gonna affect everything.
You're welcome! Okay, so you probably should get your tierup in the next tierup wave. The sign "SOON" that you see on your dashboard is just a prediction from the productor plugin, unfortunately it's not from amazon itself. I've just checked when i had my tierups, and i've personally had tierups in the past at the start/mid of january, so i don't think that we have to wait till february. In the lower tiers, most sellers agree that the amazon teams checks the accounts manually for a tierup to see if the uploaded designs are okay for them.
Where did you see the tier up sign "soon"? I am on tier 100 and sold almost 200 products and still waiting for my tier up.
You need to have the productor chrome extension installed - then you see it on the dashboard. Since you have the sales, you would also need to have at least 80% of your slots filled, that means 80 designs uploaded in your case
@ yeah. I have 91 designs uploaded. I will check productor. I might have something else. Btw..new follower here. Thanks.
Appreciate it, thanks for your support!
Thanks for the Video :) I have 2 questions: Do you ever add the slogan or a part of the slogan to the title? And: If you have a lot of Designs for a Niche, do you use the exact same title to all of them or do you change every title so they are unique, thank you!
You're welcome, glad you like it! Wether i add the slogan or parts of it to the title depends if there is any search volume for that specific phrase, if there is, then i would put it into the title. You can use keyword tools like helium10 to find this out, or just use the amazon search bar. If there is any search volume for this phrase, it will get suggested/autocompleted by amazon in the dropdown menu of the searchbar. If it's a completely new phrase then it doesn't make much sense to add it to the title. You'd rather fill the title with very relevant keywords - you can then put the phrase into one of the bulletpoints. If i have a lot of designs for one niche, then i would always try to have unique titles for each design. If you have very similar designs, then i would also change 1-2 keywords in the title. I wouldn't use the exact same title and brand as the amazon algorithm could see this as duplicate content. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions!
@@DanielScholtes thank you very much for your detailed answer :) so you also use different brandnames for a niche? I often ask myself whether it makes sense to have a different title for each design, because in large niches, for example, the probability is very high that the titles are very often exactly the same
You're welcome! I try to use one brand name for about 50 designs max. in a niche. This prevents copycats from stealing your ideas by clicking on the brand name and seeing all the phrases and design ideas. If there are that many listings with exactly the same title in that specific niche, i would consider not going into that niche. If you check on amazon for a specific phrase and there are already hundreds/thousands of results for it, then i wouldn't try to compete for that phrase. I'd rather come up with a unique phrase otherwise it's too hard to stand out in the crowd.
@@DanielScholtes i meant rather big niches like the cat niche, not a special slogan. with advertising i think you can also go into niches like the cat niche, and use only main keywords there. i meant that dozens of designs will have the exact same title there even if you only use mainkeywords or long tail keywords
If you go into big niches like the cat niche, then yes, you will likely have listings that are quite similar to the other listings that are already online. But you could try to crossniche with other (smaller) niches and also include these keywords in the listing. Always keep in mind that you have to do heavy advertising for these big niches
Thanks for sharing us🎉
You're welcome, glad it was helpful!
Hey bro, are the photos I will create on piclumen private for my eyes and use only?
Good question! When you generate images on piclumen, they are only visible to you. You can check that on the down left corner, click on the 3 dots and then check the settings. The first setting then says "The generated image is private by default and will only be made public when you post it to the community." and you can't even set it to public.
@DanielScholtes awesome, thank you!
already liked and subscribed at the beginning when i paused the video and tried the tool it's amazing! thank you ❤❤
You're welcome! Thanks for your support!
I tried to do a niche or a cross niche and did not get any results. For example, I find a specific niche for a specific breed of dog with a specific type of drawing and colors as well. I work on another breed of dog or any animal with the same style and do not get any results. Because the market demand is not there at all. Usually I am alone without competitors.
When taking an idea from one niche to another, you always have to check the demand and the competition in the niche that you want to go into. When there is no demand, it doesn't make sense to go into that niche. Please check my video about niche research: th-cam.com/video/Y9fN5Yvl7-o/w-d-xo.html If you have any more questions, please let me know!
You are the best
Thank you very much!
You do a great job, thank you so much. I just have a question. But the phrase you do is it legal? Because some of the words has trademark.
Thank you, love reading that! If some of the words in the phrase are trademarked and are common language, then it's not a problem. But i would also put the phrase into google to check if the phrase known from a movie or a song for example. Then don't use the phrase. I've made a separate video about trademarks, check it here: th-cam.com/video/2M2NCBRghHk/w-d-xo.html If you have more questions, please let me know.
@DanielScholtes Thank you so much. I have one more question. If I take a phrase, for example, "just a girl who loves to travel," and I search on the USPTO, and I find that one word is trademarked, should I leave it?
You're welcome. Yes, every word in this phrase is just common language, so as long as the complete phrase is not trademarked you're good to go. Be careful if 2 or more following words are trademarked (marked red in productor), then i just wouldn't use the phrase.
Love this video!! Thank you so much for sharing with us!
You're welcome! Glad you like it
Another great video Daniel, thanks. How far do you upscale your images for Merch phone cases? 4X? 6 X? Thanks again for a teaching video.
You're welcome robo! Just checked the resolutions: Midjourney gives you a resolution of 816x1456 pixels, Amazon merch needs a resolution of 1800x3200 pixels so that means you need to upscale the image 3x which will give you a resolution of 2448x4368 pixels. If the file gets too large, then you can easily compress the image with caesium. I also have a video about that process on my channel.
Great Tutorial. How would you upload and list these designs please?
Thanks! If you have an amazon merch account, i would highly recommend to upload them there. For the listings, please check my video about the listing process. I would apply it like in the video.
I requested this 2 weeks ago and you made it happen. Subbing you from my secon account. Lots of Love bro. Thank you.
You're welcome, glad you like the video! Thanks for the sub!
Thanks Daniel. I've been working too hard on the wrong things in my listings, filling out both bullets completely and even having a different paragraph for the bottom, Product Description.
You're welcome robo! I wouldn't say that it's wrong to do that, but you always have to be 100% relevant to the design. In my opinion, it's more efficient to write the listings like i've shown in the video, saving you time and headache
@@DanielScholtes, I hear you. Watching this helps me realize how much overkill I'm doing. Your method really looks like you are giving the Amazon algorithm what it wants and then moving on to the next design as you say "saving me time and headache".
Awesome and perfect guidance l learn alot from you, Dear I have a request I am a newbie on teepublic and spread shirt just uploaded 450 designs but I don't know how to organize adds for my Pod sales can you please help me in adds making by sharing your video about adds to generate sales, please share soon on your channel. Thanks
Thank you, i love to hear that! I've stopped uploading to teepublic and spreadshirt a long time ago, but as far as i know you can't place ads on these platforms. If you haven't got your account on amazon merch on demand yet, i highly recommend to apply there as it's the no.1 POD marketplace platform out there by far.
@DanielScholtes thanks dear now after trying teepublic and spread l will try Amazon but I am afraid of rejection case
Don't worry, your application to amazon merch will be rejected quite a few times and that's quite normal, but you just have to keep applying until they accept your application and get you an account.
@@DanielScholtes thank you so much for your help
You're welcome!
Thank you for the helpful video! ❤ Could you please create a tutorial video showing how you improved your design in the video? Thanks!❤😊
You're welcome, glad it was helpful! Sorry, i don't really know what you mean. Have you checked out the other videos from this series? I've created a playlist named "Amazon Merch Mastery: A Complete Step-by-Step Mini Course" - if you watch these videos from beginning to end you will have everything in order to create successful designs for amazon merch. Let me know if you miss anything in the videos!
How are they produced?
It depends if you offer these on a marketplace like redbubble or open a shop on etsy. On redbubble, you just upload the digital files and redbubble handles the printing and shipping. On etsy, you have to connect a POD fulfilment provider to your shop that prints and ships the stickers to the customer. Or you could just offer these stickers as digital downloads on etsy.
how can we use this in app
You can use it on idm-vton.github.io
you mention print on demand in title and description but what service/process do you use?
These kinds of stickers sell really well on marketplaces like etsy as digital downloads or as a print-on-demand product. Stickers are also popular on the platform redbubble.
@@DanielScholtes which print in demand service do you recommend?
If you want to sell stickers, go for etsy
@danielSchultes but Etsy isn't a print on demand service, it's just a shop. Where are the stickers made? Who is the print on demand provider?
It works like this: you connect your etsy shop to a print-on-demand fulfilment provider like printful or printify for example. When a customer buys a sticker, this provider will print and ship the stickers to the customer. On etsy, you still have to manage the customer service by yourself. Hope that helps!
are the tools chatgpt and ideogram are paid versions? thanks
I'm using the paid versions in the video, but there are also free (limited) versions available from both chatGPT and Ideogram
Daniel, I've never tried selling stickers, but your method of using ChatGPT to create stickers for different niches is gold. Thanks for posting this.
You're welcome!
You definately deserve more subs. Thank you. Next is please show your listing process and SEO optimization. Thank you so much.
Thanks for the kind words! The video about the listing process is in the making and it's coming next week
@ thank you so much
Thank you for this video. It was really helpful. Can you make a video about the prompts you used to generate these images because they look really cool
You're welcome and thank you! Actually, this video is part of a series. Like a mini-course for amazon merch on demand, starting from niche research, then finding phrases and design ideas, then creating these designs and then in this video editing the designs. If you want to start from the beginning, start with the video "Niche Research Secrets for Amazon Merch". If you just want to see the prompts, then jump to the second video "Design Research Secrets for Amazon Merch"
Has anyone sold any? I can’t find one merch tumbler when searching. Amazon search is in sad state with tumblers, sockets, pillows, cases and etc. why don’t we talk about that more on TH-cam. Most here are already on merch.
I've sold one so far. I only put up 3 or 4 designs though, and they're all holiday, which might not sell too well on a tumbler. It sounds like other people are having success with them though.
@ good to know. I haven’t heard much on the success. Congrats on the sell. I made ten designs today then looked around and realized I can’t find any merch tumbler products. Just parties selling at a super low price.
I've added the tumblers to my existing designs and i sold quite a few of them. I think it really depends on the niche wether the merch tumblers show up or not. If the niche is too saturated and already has established sellers with a lot of reviews, then it's too hard to stand a chance there. There's a way higher chance in selling in smaller niches where the competition is not that high. Also, amazon likes to push their own products, for example their amazon basics products or our merch on demand products.
@@DanielScholtes I agree. Thanks for the info.
Thanks ! 👍😊❤
You're welcome!
Daniel, nice walkthrough of your workflow. This helps me a lot. I like how you are using the free Pixel Cut. I've been paying for it and uploading 20 at a time, but then I have to go back to so many of them after the background is removed with the "refine." I think your way is faster. Sadly my system's too old (my GPU isn't supported) for Upscyal but that's my problem. I'm going to adopt your methodology. I appreciate the last couple of videos explaining your whole process.
Thank you robo, glad i could help. Yes, that's the thing, you always have to check the result of the background remover, so it makes sense to do this one after another. I haven't tested it yet but there is a free image upscaler at dgb.lol which is server-based, you might give this a try. You're welcome and thanks for your support!
