This is all about family, our family with a focus on our daughter, Ruth Louise (call sign "Teddy"). Our family and friends are far flung. To keep them connected to Teddy I put together videos. Hopefully they give a sense of who Teddy is and the adventure she lives.

Teddy's 1st Time Skiing, Bear Mountain, Big Bear, CA
มุมมอง 8408 ปีที่แล้ว
Teddy finally got to try snow skiing. We had a couple of days off from school February 11 & 12 so we headed up to Big Bear after school on the 10th, returning home late evening on the 12th. In between Teddy got to ski. We chose Bear Mountain as it seemed a good mix of beginner & beginner/intermediate terrain. Teddy took lessons each day (2 per day, 3 hours each, morning and afternoon). Molly & ...

Zion Lutheran School Project Fair & Open House 2016
มุมมอง 2438 ปีที่แล้ว
Every year about this time Zion Lutheran School in Fallbrook has it's Project Fair & Open House. This is a quick look at the evening of March 11, 2016. The teachers and kids go all out for this (with some parental assistance). It's fun to watch the kids in the quest for stickers. They get one from each classroom but they have to do something to earn each of them. Note the Principal playing hoop...

Teddy, A Day in My Life, January 31, 2016
มุมมอง 3718 ปีที่แล้ว
This video another in the "Teddy, A Day in My Life" series. Teddy is just a normal 7 1/2 year old. It follows her through an ordinary day, in this case it happens to be a rainy Sunday. That includes church, play, a movie, pizza and friends. You will also see her latest fixation, Shopkins. You'll also see the odd obstacle course challenges she makes up. Rainy days keep us indoors more. This is o...
Sunrise Flying Under a Cloud Layer, Cockpit POV
มุมมอง 2919 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a companion video to my "Sunrise Flying Above a Cloud Layer, Cockpit POV" video. A completely different day with completely different clouds. Both were taken from the cockpit close enough to the clouds to get some sense of speed. This is why people love to fly. It's only a few seconds with ambient noise. I suggest turning the volume down and turning on some soaring music. It's what I he...
Sunrise Flying over a Cloud Layer, Cockpit POV
มุมมอง 8669 ปีที่แล้ว
Pilots have the best view in the world! This is reason enough to want the job and it pretty much offsets any disadvantages it has. Here's a short video of flight just above a cloud layer as the sun rises above it to the left. It's a pilots point of view, our perspective. There is no sound track, just the ambient noise of the cockpit. So turn the sound down and crank something that lifts your sp...

It's a Small World Disneyland 60th Anniversary POV

This is just the "It's a Small World" ride in Disneyland shot on July 8, 2015, just 9 days short of the 60th Anniversary of Disneyland. This was shot early in the morning (right after we rode the newly refurbished "Peter Pan" ride. Everyone was still lined up there so IASW was practically deserted. The attraction has been slightly modified for the 60th Anniversary. There seems to be more blue a...

Hi, we make educational videos showing the engineering behind rides. May we have your permission to use parts of this video for an upcoming video with proper and visible credit to you? If we may or may not please let us know at your earliest convenience. Thank you, Amusement Labs
Claude Frollo is there I love him 😍 🖤💜❤️.
I see no wake turbulence
and also when you rode and the cars were going past you and then it stopped and then went again like it went backwards!
the song that was playing when you rode it what was it called?
I have to know, too!
its a song that tony sings and you cant find it on TH-cam it sounds catchy
According to the rides song, the song is called “Cousins from Carsoli”
Hi Scott very nice video. Can I ask you a few flight related questions?
Sure!
Sure!
By the way thank you for the complement.
@@scotteherman Ok! So it must be really nice flying up there, I have flown a few times and its so blue in certain areas. What was question was is when you fly West to East does the plane go at a higher speed once you climb past 34000 feet?
Susan Newman The prevailing winds around the earth move from west to east. But the jetstream is typically pretty limited in the area it covers. What we try to do is burn the least gas possible while arriving in a timely manner, something close to schedule. I used to try to leave a little early no matter which direction I was flying because it made it easier to be on time. Passengers really like on time! Flying efficiently, which reduces the fuel burn, means flying at a optimal speed (most fuel efficient), And optimal altitude to take advantage of the winds. Your lines seem to fluctuate what they find most important. Sometimes they are really excited about being on time. Other times they are really concerned about you, and you can imagine those are the times when fuel prices are very high. I hope this helps.

I think it does a good job showing the team experience for the Fightin' Phils that season!. Teddy sure loved playing. It was her first year in baseball. She played for the BFLL Indians the next year, which was also coached by Victor Puikunas.

I like it
Thats not the projection show in 2012, thats in 2011
I will have to find my original source video and confirm the date. It would be odd for me to miss label a video but it is always possible. It could take me a while to even find the time to check it....busy, busy but I have a note & I will get to it eventually.
Wait that's what this is.
I've been to MARC-ing Disneyland for the 1st time ever and that was around Christmas! It's just grawesome.
It would seem that this ride has accomplished what the park management wanted, more riders per time period. That keeps the line shorter which is a definite improvement. I wonder if some of the reduction in line is that fewer people are interested in riding it (or riding it again) compared to the "Flying Tires."
Wow, nice job, awesome view of two of the best cities from upfront :)
I can hear the 777 wake turbulence even from 1-2 miles away.
tommorow im going for halloween disneyland
How was Mickey's Halloween Party? Our family is going later this month. Did you stay until midnight and see the "Villian's Farewell" show on the Main Street Train Platform? We love that show. It's a highlight of that Party. I video taped it a couple of years ago. If you missed it (or just want to see it again) here is the URL for it. th-cam.com/video/rkwbeE6Lh7Y/w-d-xo.html
scotteherman .....Hhhh Bbbbm
No "Villians Farewell" this year at the Halloween Party. We were disappointed. The parks had made cuts earlier to absorb the costs opening the new Disneyland. I guess this was one of the cuts.
Is California screaming the fast right
California screaming the fast right!
It's pretty fast, top speed is 55 MPH. I like this ride a lot. It's a solid 7 on the fun scale of 10. It looks like an old woody but it's a steely. It's signature features are the 0-50 acceleration start (4 seconds) and the loop. I like it because it is really a good mix. The Aircraft Carrier type launch (using mag-lev technology) is fun especially with the first hill. The flow of the ride is just about perfect. I recommend it to anyone who likes coasters. If you are interested in coasters check out the rcdb.com (roller coaster data base) and search for this or other coasters. They have every one in the world. Lots of information on each of them.
This ride came as a surprise hit for us on our trip down there recently.
I have to admit that I prefer riding the Flying Tires better than the Rollickin' Roadsters. But the Roadsters are really fun to watch from the outside. They can be programmed into as many patterns as Disney chooses. It will be a lot of fun to watch them over the years to see what else they come up with.
I'm looking at it again. I like the framing now. I would not change it.
Good start. I like the lighting and the background. The basketball bouncing in the background is a bit annoying. A couple of suggestions (you may already have planned them). Pull back just a bit so her face does not fill the frame, it's not so intimidating. Shoot her from a 45º angle as if she is talking to someone else like an interviewer. Maybe not the entire shoot, but for part. The sound of kids playing in the background is good. One more, instead of cross-disolving between takes of her, maybe dissolve to a picture of her daughter & back. It's a good way to hide the fact that it is a different shoot. This is cool, I like it. Maybe a new revenue stream for you. :)
Great show, that one, Scott. Hard to believe it's been 34 years since we did that.
+Robert P Bergman Law Offices: You are right, it was a great show. And you were also right when you wrote "it is hard to believe". I had so much fun doing that show. My daughter enjoys watching the "Marion the Librarian" number....she likes to see me thrown off the librarian's desk. I feel lucky to have recordings of those shows I did back then. I still have a few I haven't had time to bring into the digital world.
I'm going in May of this year. When you and your family were there experience snow or really cold days ? Great video
+sicfit 22 The conditions will depend on the winter weather and the weather that time of the year. We entered the park over Tioga pass (nearly 10,000' elevation). At that altitude & that time of year you have to keep an eye on the weather. Coming in from the West (El Portal) is the easiest route plus it will have less snow and ice since it is nearly 6,000' lower or to put it in weather terms using standard adiabatic lapse rate, about 21º warmer. There was snow in the high country but the roads were all clear that year. The nights got very cold. But you will LOVE the sound of the water in the valley!
I can heard that the vortices generate a gusting wind sound arround you
+Shirly Amri Some of the smaller planes can produce more dramatic vortices than this. That is partially a function of approach speed.
It's looks like an amazing time. In planing a wedding in May how was the weather in the valley? Did it rain while you where at higher elevations or while in the valley ?
I hope you don't mind, I shared this on Facebook.
Claudia Slavin Not at all. Sorry it took me so long to reply. Glad you enjoyed it. Hope you get there this coming season. We've already got our tickets!
Yay yes I have my ticket, at my discount price, can hardly wait to go. I hope they play this song again.
+Claudia Slavin I think there is a good chance. We have our tickets for this year and I guarantee we will stay to the end just to see this again!
Wait where is oogie boogie
Thanks for the capture, I can watch and remember last year. To anyone who may wonder, its not "all about the money", when I waved $70 plus dollars at them, they STILL WOULD NOT SELL ME one ticket to Trick or Treat party. When they say sold out, they mean SOLD OUT I guess.
That is true. I had multiple friends that I thought would be joining me. Despite warning them about how quickly this sells out they delayed and were shut out also. It's a fun event. I hope you got tickets for another night. The whole evening is fun.
Last year I stayed until the LAST second, and loved this ending show but didn't think about carrying the camera. Thanks again.
Claudia Slavin I wonder how long they've been doing this? I know they did it last year but I also know there is some staging differences. It makes me wonder how it has evolved. I'll be back to see it next year so I can judge for myself. This was my first time viewing the farewell.
Captain Hook is missing, maybe they didn't have anyone to play the character. We always have a white horse drawn carriage, and never a headless horseman. I love to stand on the corner and give them a final wave and shout out! Before this Halloween time it was at California Adventure, so @ 3 years
Cute! :)
Wow!! You're a pilot too? I can tell we will be really great friends because I am currently studying to be an airline pilot and will begin taking my flight lessons soon. I just passed my ground school and this is just stunning to watch from the pilot's perspective. Are you a captain or a first officer?
My nephew loved this ride when we went for summer 2012. He would love this Christmas Small World :) Great Video thanks for uploading !
been to disneyland several times. Beautiful makes you feel like a child once again.
Thanks for posting this. I had no idea that there is this bonus at the end. It's great!
I have always loved this ride. That they pull a little more magic out of their hat for the holidays makes it special. It is my daughters favorite ride and that will keep in my heart forever.
THANK YOU ! I WAS THERE FOR 2011 CHRISTMAS AND 2012 HALLOWEEN. I LOVE THE END :)
Love it
Thank you! It should be easy when you have great subjects like Teddy, Molly, Shirley and a backdrop like Yosemite! But it's hard to pick out what to put into them.
You picked a good time to go, great weather, very clear. The pix of Teddy in the sweat shirt is precious. Great evening/morning transition on Tunnel view. Nice video!
Cars Land Rise
I had to restart Safari. I think Flash was actually the problem. Nice salute!
It's not playing.
BRAVO!
My recollection of it is a bit foggy. I think the Sheriff did the English version and Ramone did a Spanish one. It wasn't very long just the usual keep your hands and arms inside the vehicle with something cute about Sheriff arresting you if you don't. It was just audio...I don't remember seeing the characters during it.
What character was used for the safety spiel?
THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I DID! OMG LOL
before they left the dark tunnel i thought it was gonna be a remake of mr toads wild ride by ending up in hell
