That is so good to hear. I honestly don't know if I would play this game, if I hadn't played it when I was a kid, but I hope the kids of today can appreciate how good these old games are.

Some spoilers: later on, I actually kill a black knight, and pick up it's sword... and I use that for the whole game from that point on. But I wouldn't say it's baby easy mode.

@@the.ever.padawan.archives yeah not baby easy, but relatively less painful. Glad you got a black knight weapon. It's a rare drop.

Thank you for the tip, but this was played a long time ago, and I'm just uploading it now in small chunks. I eventually killed it, but much later in the game.

To further add, 2 handing increases your strength by 1.5x. This allows you to get more damage and weild weapons you don't have the strength to otherwise

That's probably a fair assumption. I don't know the statistic, that the players who never played a soulslike game before, and didn't read any guides or watched any videos about the game (to avoid spoilers), how many times players like that die on the first playthrough... but I died many many times. :)

@@the.ever.padawan.archives No problem! Note: this will not work with all weapons. For instance, with curved swords and rapiers your character will instead do a combined attack and dodge that isnn't much useful. But with most weapons you will kick!

At that time, I wasn't concerned about the loot, I was just happy I got lucky :D.

Yes, that's the easier way of defeating it, but I didn't figure that out back when I was playing this.

@@the.ever.padawan.archives completely understandable, if you end up on darksouls 3 as a warning the ancient wyvern is a gimmick boss like the demon :)

I knew how to sprint at this point in time, I just didn't want to. I didn't want to run past the enemies, because every enemy slain means more practice, and learning. And ultimately, this is what this channel is all about: learning.

This is quite an old gameplay, I know by now that the easiest method to killing it is just by jumping on it from the tower a few times. I didn't know that when I played, however stay tuned for when I finally killed it, it was hilarious :D.

@@the.ever.padawan.archives oh you've beaten the game already? I always like seeing new players in ds to see how they played differently.

@@fearlessnoob47 I didn't beat the game yet, I have gone hollow after I got the Lordvessel. I will definitely play through it eventually, but I have a bunch of gameplay to upload in the meantime. My rule for the playthrough was to not read any guides about the game, because I didn't want to spoil anything for myself. It's a blast, btw :).

@@the.ever.padawan.archives that's the best way to play the game. Once you beat it look up a guide and see what you missed.
