Yeah they don't allow go pros on the helmets, but I have a visor camera that sits inside the helmet (Cambox V4 Pro) Unfortunately Thruxton is the only place to disallow go pros on the helmet which I have come across so far.

22nd April 2023, kart numbers change depending on the race, so I can't remember what number I was here, I think it was kart 6 but not 100pct

No, it was on a Cambox v4 - although the battery died into this session & was cut short

60 mph

They reckon 60mph, but with an average speed of 39/40mph, the top speed is probably closer to 50. I would highly recommend going here as it's not "too" expensive and pretty well run

Yeah that's right, once the engine gets out of the torque curve then it takes some time to get back up to speed. Obviously weighing less would help but you need to work to try and keep your speed up through the corners, just some are quite tight and it amplifies this. This is why you try not to slide the karts around and try to be smooth and fairly straight.

It's just how this kind of karts are, they don't have multiple gears (superkarts do, but you wont find them in arrive and drive kart centers), just one long one. Imagine trying to drive your car in 5th gear all the time, similar thing... PS, on the video itself though, monstrous start, that's an epic send into turn1, well done!

How did you get on? I really enjoy the circuit but it can be quite interesting when its wet

​@DaveG_07 oh hell ye ur right I went just on Thursday and it was wet but my god I loved it all though I did have a moment where I drifted it so much that I thought oh god this could go bad

Thanks, its a visor cam so you get a good angle but a lot of shaking as it doesn't have as much image stabilisation as a gopro. Its just a shame that it ran out of battery in the final! Epic track at Thruxton and well run too!

where did you put your GoPro on helmet

The Go Pro attaches to the roll cage & the camera is actually inside the helmet, it sits on the upper part just behind the closed visor

it sits inside the helmet, is pretty comfortable when you get it right. It's a cambox V3 and I was surprised at the quality when I first tried it out

@@fishatethecat Yeah not the cheapest piece of kit but it is very versatile if you do a lot of track work. Also you need to add 80+ Euros for the import tax too which wasn't mentioned!
