Hello everyone my name is Tracie, I love
Cooking delicious meals, Baking breads and creating decadent desserts, also home decor and gardening.
On this platform I will be sharing my recipes, home decor and gardening with you.
I was challenged when my third child was born with an allergic reaction to nuts and seafood.
Store bought cakes, breads, pizza and other foods often made her sick
I created my own recipes that is safe for her, she even became lactose intolerant.
You may notice some of my ingredients included lactose free milk, cheese and butter. I've learn a lot through my cooking experiences and happy to share them with you. I will be sharing my own Guyanese recipes I created. My goal is to inspire someone that cooking and baking your fresh meals is a safer healthier choice, if you or someone in your family has a food allergy you can create your own meal with the ingredients you can used. RECIPE:
Prep Time 20 minutes
Cook Time 25 minutes
23 degrees temperature in the home
Ingredients:
¾ Cup ground red hard flour
4 ounces (113 Grams)
2 ¼ Cups lightly measured
(296 grams)breads flour 10.4 ounces
1 Tsp Salt
¼ Cup room temperature Butter
Wet ingredients:
2 ½ Tsp instant Yeast
1 ½ Cup lukewarm Milk (260 Ml)
2 Tbsp Sugar
Method:
Measure and prepare all the ingredients first to be organised.
Heat the oven 10 minutes before baking at 330 degrees Fahrenheit
Grease an 8 inch loaf pan with oil or butter before ready to use.
Ground ½ Cup compacted red hard wheat berries into flour
Measure ¾ Cup flour of the freshly ground flour
Heat the milk until it becomes lukewarm
Add the sugar and yeast
Mix well until the sugar has dissolved
Allow it to rest to proof for 5 minutes
Add the dry ingredients in a bowl
Mix well until all the ingredients are well incorporated
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients
Mix until a shaggy dough forms
Cover and let it rest to proof for 30 minutes or until it has doubled in size
When the dough has proofed
Punch it down to release the gas
Then shape it into a log shape
Place the it into the greased loaf pan
Allow it to rest to proof until it has doubled in size
Place the pan on the middle rack of the oven
Bake in a preheated oven for 35 minutes or until it becomes light brown in colour.
Allow the bread to cool completely
Serve and enjoy!

@@seemagore2227 I used 2 Cups of this soaked fruit mixture To make a 6 inches round cake. I never weighed the cake but it should be about 1kg I will get back to you with the right measurements.
