Dante generally has some of the lowest damage in this game, funny enough. Every character can TOD with a good team setup.
EVERYONE can TOD. This is fucking Marvel; even some shitter like Shuma-Gorath or Hsien-Ko can do stupid damage.

me trying to get a damn bnb to hit at least 850k with low meter solo and not understanding why people call this character top tier
850 for 1 bar is insanely high with dante to be fair
@@GiveTHawkAGun So far I got 828k max, really hoping I can get it without adding too many complex things (no box dash is included)
He's top tier because jam session is competing for the best assist in the game. Dante's solo damage and frame data are pretty bad, but he has some really good special moves and to my knowledge no terrible matchups, and his gun super lasts so long that if you team super your other character can sometimes act again while dante is still shooting, which is pretty crazy
When you say top tier, what do you mean? He isn't really put in the top 10 characters in the game. He does make up one of the 3/4 best teams in the game (Zero May Cry) but other than that he isn't really called top tier; or he isn't really mentioned in the same bracket as Vergil, Phoenix, Morrigan, Magneto or even Nova
UPDATE: I got 970k with relatively simpler execution than I see most of his combos being. only downside is it's not meter positive

There's a faint sound effect of Dante sheathing Rebellion towards the end of the animation, if you turn sound effects to max and mute the music it's very noticeable.

what mod do you use?
I have a DMC4 costume for Dante's color 1, as well as the damage counter restoration mod and the color expansion kit. Everything else is vanilla.

Fun fact, Tron is actually the easiest character to maximize gun loops on for me personally, especially in the corner. It's the width of her hurtbox + not being a fast faller that kills her lol

I don't really play on Parsec except for casuals because I'm fortunate enough to have an offline scene. Input delay generally forces me to go for safer routes since I have poor/unstable internet where I live, sadly.

No missiles into Nova assist not optimal
everytime i dhc opponent is too high and vergil swords just whiff.
You need to DHC into Swords earlier, if Super Nova is cancelled early you get the knockdown state which allows them to fall onto Swords. Too late and they'll air tech out. The best way I can explain it is you want Nova's voice line to say "Power of the-Vergil!"
