Customer states it set for two years wouldn’t start. Carb was full of water and gas tank was leaking. Cleaned carb switched tanks all fixed.

What diesel engine did you use? HP? Would a hood fit over it? Are you happy with it? Issues? TY
Yes, I’m very happy with it. It’s about 5 to 6 hp. The only issue is they have a weird size so you have to grind the shaft down or drill out a pulley and know the engine won’t fit with the hood.

What would this have been used to power? It's gorgeous! Has a therapeutic quality to the sound EDIT: Is it a steam & gas engine? I saw a reference to a hit & miss engine, also. (The two may be the same thing, as far as I know) The more info I find the more my curiosity increases.
Yes, it’s a hit and miss engine. You could use them to power just about anything within the horsepower range such as generators water pumps just about anything.
I also have a video posted of a Cushman stationary engine that one is not hit and miss. It’s throttle covered, but still has a water hopper. It’s actually double the water as normal. It would’ve been been an extended use special engine.

Whoever filmed this needs to pass the phone to someone else. You don't get to see the mini dozer over half of the short and when you do you only see half of the mini dozer.

I would say late 40's early 50's, if I am not mistaken that is an up-draft carb. Haven't seen one in years, cool find even better when they run!!!!!

Very interesting concept, what size pulley on that metric shaft? One of my DBs needs a motor & I may try one of these.
I don’t remember what size it came originally but the previous owner had already ground down the shaft for us. We got it used on marketplace.
Just drill a 3/4 shaft pulley out to 20mm. 3/4 is 19mm so it's only 1mm wider and file the key way.

Tapered crankshaft and fixed speed governor. It's only around 6 hp. If I remember correctly.

On the needle valve side of the carburetor Below the needle valve there’s another valve. What’s that for? And where should it be set? Thanks

Yelp I drove it around today use the turning brakes I have the one bottom plow and a spring harrow for it
@@davidgasser1096 thats really cool as you are the only one i know that has an operational Page walk behind. I have seen a 4-wheel Page tractor online in a show but the Page tractors seem to be a rare breed.
@@outtatime4512 I just got an engine shroud for it last night so it won’t overheat and they were made in Milwaukee Wisconsin which is about 40 minutes from me

He just used long threaded rods and bolted the rims together thru the wheel weight holes
