Of course Juan Diego Florez sings an aria meant for a coloratura mezzo and includes a high Eb6. The mezzo herself is fantastic, of course, but what a show stealer! (I nearly had a heart attack at 2:58 when the baritone started singing, I thought he was going to attempt the coloratura himself!)

Un capolavoro interpretativo miracoloso. Esecuzione veramente eccellente, quando si riesce ad insegnare all'orchestra come fraseggiare battuta per battuta l'esito è questo. Ci vorrebbero pagine per cercare di evidenziare i passaggi cruciali che il Maestro rende con la sua concertazione semplicemente magnifici. È un vero peccato che la qualità audio della registrazione sia veramente scadente. Solo un orecchio avvezzo può cogliere il livello interpretativo.

At 11:59, the bold and elegant bassoon note is so noble. The brown acoustics of the reedy instrument just excrete the most beautiful tone, no crap at all. If this sound had a scent, it would be noticeable by all.

Excelente interpretação dessa majestosa obra de Haydn. Pena q, a partir do terceiro ato a gravação deste vídeo, perdeu o estéreo.

Maestro Roberto Abbado parabéns pela brilhante interpretação!!! Eloquência expressiva nas cordas, madeiras, tímpano e metais. Nada abafado como se costuma ouvir na maioria das interpretações. Os músicos demonstram pleno domínio da técnica. Uma interpretação detalhada e segura. Um Haydn diferenciado. Brilhante!!! Grandioso!!!! Obrigado por compartilhar. BRAVO!!!!
