Thank you so much.
😊💕💕
Thank you for this. From, the table runner person
😊🙌
Curious how do they look when you wear them and they are stretched?
Hi, good question! There are photos on my blog, you can find the link in the video description. 😊💕
This is my first time crocheting a blanket, I always made hats, purses, scarves etc. This is so helpful! Thank you!
I’m so glad you liked it! 😊💕
Lovely
@@susanfryer1616 😊🙏💕
Do you happen to remember what stitch length you used for this?
On the sewing machine? I would usually use 2-3 for straight stitch on my machine but it might be different to yours…
Very helpful! Thank you for making this video 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊💕
do you have any advice on how to do this with a 6 day star blanket? the one by betty mcknit?
Hmm not sure about that one sorry! It’s a tricky shape….
@@crochetlovemelbourne understandable! i might have to do like a quilted way and make the spikes each their own fabric panel
@tristanegbert that sounds like a great idea! 😊👍
Actually on further thought could you crochet edge bits to fill in the gaps do it makes a circle? A circular fabric backing would be pretty easy?
I love this, thank you!♥️✨
My pleasure! Glad you like it! When I am not travelling I plan to make them into a blanket using join as you go technique.❤
Looks wonderful! Thank you for posting.
@@hannekenauta7 No problem! Glad you liked it! 😊💕
Eye candy!!!! So beautiful! I am so inspired.......I'm seeing a scrap cardigan with a solid ribbed border, a beach bag with bamboo handles,a warm, colorful and squishy blanket for this coming winter, I could go on and on.....😂 Thank you for this tutorial. I follow you on Instagram and I will definitely subscribe......❤🙏🏾
@@cesariowaller6453 thanks so much, great ideas and look forward to seeing your makes!
So glad you like it! Yes my goals were not many holes and using yarn scraps! 😊💕
Thank you for this tutorial. I really like how the square does not have too many holes.
Do you have a pattern for the blanket? I would love it if you could share.
Yes the Earthside blanket pattern is available to purchase in all of my shops, links are in description below video.
Thank you. I am so excited that it's not too difficult. . . I hope.
Hooray! Hope it goes well!! 😊💕
I bend the two flaps inward towards each other, rather than outward, so they don't get caught into something or they don't cut my hands when I reach with my hand into the purse.
Great idea! Thanks for your comment! 😊
T hank you for the clarification ! Makes sense now😅
No problem! Glad it helped! 😊💕
Hello, I have decided to crochet the straps. I noticed that in your pattern, you state that to chrochet the straps by making four of them. I don't understand why 4 would be needed? Will they be long enough? They seem short. Can you clarify? Thank you!
Hi there! There are four short straps because you use buckles in the middle to join the two short straps so they are adjustable. if you don't care about them being adkjustable you could just make two long straps. Hope that clarifies ? feel free toast again if you have any further questions.😊💕
Hello! Thank you so much for the tutorial! The hat is super cute/ I have a question: in row 16 I constantly get 82 stiches instead of 84. What could I do wrong and where could I miss one more squear in row 15? I cheched everything by instruction but still have no idea what is my mistake.
I am not sure how you got more stitches, but it’s very easy to do! My suggestion is when you’re joining the next round maybe skip a stitch to join it so you lose a stitch and go the same in the following row?
@@crochetlovemelbourne thank you for your comment! Actually, I get less stitches (should be 84, I get only 82). I added these two stitches at the beginning of the row and in the middle, but I am still a bit confused how could that happen
@@nataliaeltsova9337 even though it's not s super difficult pattern, it is very easy to not get the right amount of stitches. If it were me I would rip it out and do it again because I think at some point in the rows you must have lost a stitch or two? Sorry I know that's probably not what you want to hear....
@@crochetlovemelbourne haha that’s exactly what I did: frogged a half. Now building it up slowly. Hope this time I’ll get my perfect hat
@@nataliaeltsova9337 Ooh I hope so! good luck!!
Did you end row 5 with 1 double crochet?
Yes, if it ends on a cluster as it should you would dC before doing sl st to join the round. Sorry for the delay in replying, hope it's not too late!
Can I use size 4 worsted weight and a size 5.5 hook for this pattern or will that mess it all up?
Yes, but using a different yarn will just make it bigger, so I think you can only give it a try and see if you’re happy with the size and make sure the larger hook doesn’t make the fabric too holey ( which won’t matter if you’re adding a lining)
Thanks! Good reminders!!!❤
Thank you!😊💕
That is a really cute case I am definitely going to make for my kids :) Love it! ♥
Thank you! The video only gives the basic directions, but you can find the flower pattern in many places online! Let me know if you want me to find you the flower!
Your yarn is lovely what do you use? ❤
Good question! In this video the squares were made from Lincraft cotton which was fingering weight, held double plus a thicker beige cotton. I can’t remember what the yellow joining yarn was it’s a DK cotton yarn. I generally use cotton yarn as I like the definition and usually from Hobbii yarns or Lincraft ( Australian yarn store )

On round 8 did you put the ch 5 into the first loop or the second loop?
Same with round 10, it looks like youre skipping the first loop but when i did that the first time and got to round 13 i only had 6 fans
Have you looked at the free written pattern on my blog? Rounds 8 and 9 : Sc 1 back into lp just formed, * ch 5, sc 1 into next lp* repeat from * to * ending with ch 2, dc 1 into first sc. Hope that helps! 😊💕
@@alyssathigpen4536 Rounds 10 - 12 : Sc 1 back into lp just formed, * ch 6, sc 1 into next lp* repeat from * to * ending with ch 2, tr 1 into first sc. I think you may not have done the first sc 1 backwards into the the loop just formed? hope you were able to work it out!
Thank you so much I worked it out!
@alyssathigpen4536 oh, that’s great, sorry if it’s confusing. It is quite a challenge to make but worth it in the end! Please ask if any more issues,!
That’s a nice idea 😊 I really like the sunflower version
Thank you! 😊💕
So cute! I love it! Thank you for the tutorial.
So glad you like it! Thanks so much for commenting 😊💕
Bonjour, merci beaucoup pour votre travail. Ce sac est magnifique. Est-il possible de le réaliser avec un fil 50% acrylic et 50% polyamid ?
You can use any yarn you like! I think I have understood correctly that you're asking if it is OK to use a 50% polyester and 50% acrylic yarn? That's fine! 😊💕
Yes you have understood my answer 😊. I will try. Merci beaucoup pour votre réponse. Très belles journées à vous
Hooray! 😊💕@@geraldineg.9684
Very cute! ❤ from KS, USA.
So glad you like it! 😊💕
I love this pattern! The first time I made them I was going into the second loop instead of the first on the second repeat row and still ended up with a really nice looking leg warmer that I love so much! Thank you for this :)
Oh, so glad you like them! 😊💕💕
This is a fun little idea - I can imagine adapting it for other uses too 🤔 😊
Thank you! What other uses were you thinking of?
@@crochetlovemelbourne I’m not sure - pretty bus pass cover? Credit card wallet? Hmm… 🤔 You could prettify any kind of cheap case or small holder with it I think 😊
@FionaC1 True! I love when people do their own spin on my ideas ! 😊💕
Hello! can I talk to you? I wanna give you some secret tips about your TH-cam channel You will benefit from it. Your video SEO score is very low. If you want to grow your channel then we can talk about it
After frogging my project 3 times at step 13 realising I have 9 fans instead of 8; I now realise what I was doing wrong. Thankyou for this video <3
Yes sorry I know round 13 sucks but once you work it out it’s worth it! Or maybe I am just really bad at writing down patterns and should just do videos 😂💕💕
Nah, sometimes I need both written and video instructions @@crochetlovemelbourne
I see, thanks for explaining. I am on my second leg warmer. Thank you for the video especially stating the UK term at beginning.
That's great that you're onto the second one and good to know talking about the UK terms is helpful, I will do it more often! 😊💕
At 13:12 you say work 42 stitches around then at 14:29 you say so to get 42 stitches work into the front post so I'm a little confused.
Sooo, both times I say 42 sts, not sure why that is confusing? I am just explaining it in more detail at 14:29 , I.e. exactly how to make sure you get 42 sts, but to be honest the number of stitches doesn’t matter that much as the most important thing is that it fits you, or whoever you are making it for, so definitely try it on you or them and then decide what the best number of stitches may be! Now you’re probably more confused 😂💕
such a squishy lovely bag, cannot wait to make it for a friend, thank you so much! quality bag.
Have fun! 😊💕
I am having trouble figuring out where to put the final ch 6 in 13 b . I have 24 chains in round 12, but when I follow the directions, I only have 1 chain 6 between the last 2fans. Any help would be appreciated
Hi, it’s the trickiest row for sure! I think you possibly have made a mistake where it says in 13a to sc back into the loop just formed, if you sc into the wrong place it will result in not enough stitches. All you can do is to frog and repeat till it works sorry and watch the video very carefully whilst also looking at the written pattern on the blog. If you have purchased the pattern it should be clear in the step by step photos. Please let me know if this reply helps.
I love your tutorials and patterns - just one wee request please: the music is very loud but your voice is very quiet (which means I turn it up to hear you but then the music is really sudden and loud). 😉
Yes sorry, I don't usually have music during the video, but I just wanted some kind of transition and it was difficult to kind of pack all the info I wanted into the video. I am very self- taught as you know, so still learning how to actually do this! Will definitely take that on board for the next video, thanks for the constructive criticism! Unfortunately it might be too late to change this one but I will have a look.
I also didn't realise my voice was quiet, I will use a proper microphone next time then..
@@crochetlovemelbourne I could hear your voice when I turned up a notch, it was just the balance of volume with the music. I hope you don’t take this as a criticism - I can’t imagine ever being brave enough to make crochet tutorial videos so admire you doing so well 😀
Oh not at all, your comment is very helpful, I have a thick skin and it’s something I will be careful of in the next video. I will give anything a go, it’s never a mistake, just a lesson learned to do better next time!! 😊💕
Very pretty 😊
Thank you! 💕
Hallo meine liebe Freundin, ich habe noch nie gesehen, wie man beim Häkeln den Faden 🧵 so führen kann wie Du es machst 😀Umso erstaunter und begeisterter bin ich über Deine fertigen Arbeiten ❤
What magnetic clasps did you use for this video? I have a completed macrame purse I would like to add magnetic closures too and I don't want to have to sew anything. It looks like this could work :)
I bought them from someone on Instagram a long time ago in a huge lit, but I can’t remember who it was!! I would suggest searching on eBay and Etsy for magnetic closures as lots of people sell them. Yes, they’re perfect for that kind of bag!
@@crochetlovemelbourne Thank you!!! :)
I’m a bit old for a crop top, but that heart granny square is definitely being added to my ideas bank 😊
Heart squares are so much fun and easy as well, enjoy! 😊💕
❤❤❤❤
Thank you!😊💕
Can this be done using and Aran weight cotton and what hook size? I have over 200 grams left over from a previous project?
You could try, however it will probably be quite large as it is designed for a thinner yarn. Depends on what head size you are making it for, if for a larger adult it might work but I think it might be a bit big. I would try with a 3.00 mm if not too hard to crochet with that thickness of yarn.
@@crochetlovemelbourne thank you. I'll give it a go and see how it works up ☺️
Always worth a try! Normally I would say reduce a few stitches but a bit tricky with this pattern. Definitely do rounds 16-18 with a smaller hook to tighten it a bit! Let me know how you go!
Just discovered I have the right amount of midnight blue dk cotton leftover from my guru guru spirals blanket - it was meant to be! 😊
Great!
