The serene surroundings of Lough Key were illuminated by a fantastic solar storm that came in two waves. I witnessed the first wave in the forest park, where the tranquil waters and the overhead dance of lights were mesmerizing. I had initially intended to visit the chieftain, expecting it to be crowded, but due to the wet, drizzly, and cold weather, everyone eventually left. This allowed me and one other person to witness the exceptional second wave of the solar storm in solitude.
