April and Melissa were like most siblings growing, they were at each other’s throats and didn’t want anything to do with each other; but over time they realized they had more in common and became best of friends. Through talking, texting, and sharing things they found online nearly everyday they discovered they had been working towards similar goals and decided to combine their effort and reach for their goals together. They want to share their wins and loses here on TH-cam for those on similar journeys.

Groceries are pricey everywhere!! I am finding myself price matching between the three stores we have local to us - ACME, ShopRite & Wegmans. There are a couple of things that I buy brand names of (butter, parmesan cheese and creamers), but most everything else is store brand. I also don't know if you have thought about this, but maybe putting a price book together of what items are cheaper at which store (i.e peanut butter is cheaper at Wegmans). Now, I have also found that, after being in a separate FB membership group, I am not buying ice cream or snacks much anymore and that reduces my budget even more. I will still buy crackers, but they are part of a recipe for me, as well as being lunch when I need something quick (peanut butter and crackers). I also try to make sure what I am buying is on sale and I will use the paper coupons that the brands send me for just asking (Kerrygold, Coffeemate and Bellgioioso).

@theBudgetingSisters meat is still crazy, but some prices have gone down a smidgen with holiday sales.... but i know they will go right back to being expensive once Thanksgiving passes. 😅

Great job, Melissa!! I love finishing these challenges and as they are done, I have decided to do 50% in my emergency fund and 50% toward extra debt payments (i.e. the challenge is $50, so $25 would go to E.F. and $25 would go to debt).

Thank you very much, it has been a rough few weeks that’s for sure. Our Lannie girl has always been our “needy” one but now she is super clingy and doesn’t like it when either of us are out of her sight. Oh to new adventures, as fur parents 😁-melissa
