The solution is understood,but just tell me sir one thing that why why we are not calculating the moment of inertia of the disc that is mr2/2 and using parallal axis theorem to get the MOI about the hinge point p? why directly treating the pulley to be a point mass and simply calculating using radius of gyration ?
