Don't expect much reliability with the early release. I tried two flights from CYYZ to KJFK I made my flight plan from simbrief it loaded ok but BATC gave me a different departure and landing runway then what Simbrief presented in the flight plan and when asked for a different landing runway starting approach it wouldn't let me do it. I requested a change to FL310 from FL350 but it kept telling me to climb to 350 after it accepted my request. It's very flawed until they get it more developed don't buy it right away. Bug city! They do tell you that the early release has bugs and I get it but jeez this is horrible. My guess it will be at least another year before maybe it's really decent? Who knows how buggy the traffic injector will be when that rolls out. It all has potential but it needs a lot more time.

Like 5/10. You were very unstable in the final couple seconds and the airplane was very much slammed into the ground. Centerline and td point were good though but the last couple seconds were not. Better than a lot of people in that game still

$80 is pretty steep when comparing to the rest of the market. PMDG released for less, and the 777 is incredible. This plane may end up great, but it has a ways to go. So the cost seems out of balance

WX radar flashing is a reminder to switch it off when on stand, as it’s radiation can be harmful. It’s a clever idea Imo.

Yes it is one of the best addons for MSFS2020. I have the Fenix A320, PMDG 737-700/-900 AND 777-300ER and I am mostly flying this bird. I prefer the boeing/MD platforms since the Airbus is too automated and "boring" to fly for me personally. The TFDI MD11 is interesting in terms of automation and manual systems. I think I still have to learn a lot to make it fly perfect and TFDI has the potential to make some great updates. To me the PMDG planes offer the best performance with the highest quality frames that my system can handle (I have a 4 year old system with GTX 1080 TI GPU) and TFDI will be around the same performance. My recommendation: If you are interested in the MD11 you are most likely interested in flying cargo and thus get this version first. Watch some youtube tutorials and enjoy. Disclaimer: I was lucky enough and won a copy in 2023 on the Smartcars radio show and thus did not spend my own money to buy this bird.

I have to say that is more FPS friendly in comparison with VirtualFra. Is a very good product for a freeware airport!

It looks very interesting; I would say a mass improvement from the MSFS ATC. I would be interested in obtaining this because I wanted some practice flights before I started on VATSIM. Have you tried SayIntentions ATC yet? Curious on your thoughts. I like the fact that it also has a virtual "copilot" of sorts and its basically an AI that can answer any question which is interesting but of course that's not the main bit. SayIntentions doesn't seem to quibble too much about what you ask it but sometimes that bad as it could enforce bad habits when speaking to ATC. BATC at least tells you "no" where SI will happily take anything.

BATC has given me the learning curve and confidence after 6 or 7 flights to now use Vatsim. Its a big thumbs up from me😊

BATC is not AI controlled. Only the voices and voice recognition utilizes AI models.

Does anyone know how much internet data BATC uses? Or Active weather? I got a huge data spike this month that cost me about 60$ over my existing internet bill.

You can still use FSLTS traffic until BATC inject their own traffic. Is not going to see the traffic , control or comunicate with. By doing that be aware you might face traffic in front of you. Regarding the scenery, BATC dos not read your community folder for now and I don’t think it will, it’s receiving what the sim sends. I believe , it’s like you said, not getting the entire information. The way to check if it’s a scenery issues is to see if you can start at that specific gate and ask default ATC to taxi you to the active runway. If the taxiways are correct then it’s BTAC not getting the information correct. Happy Flying

In the US, transition altitude is always 18000. So it's not FL110, it's one one, eleven thousand. Also, you should say the holding point you're at when requesting take off clearance.

MMMX is 7300ft ASL so you'll often get weight limited out of there for climb performance...and higher temps will make it even more restrictive. Flap 1 will also allow you to lift a little more weight.

Loved the vid! keep it up! And if I may give a couple of tips: you don't have to switch the GPU "off". Just selecting APU to a bus will switch the elec system off the GPU bus and onto the APU bus. Pretty sure PMDG has that correct. On landing add half the headwind up to maximum +15kts on top of your vref, The 737 wants to land on vref speed. This will definetly make your landings better in windy conditions, and makes sure you don't stall! Proper Ryr landing though haha

One time….just once, Ive paid the $80 for the tfdi. Now they arent even giving us any type of release timeline. Saying that they are completely reworking portions of the plane. I believe it will be released, but these devs selling products ahead of time lose motivation. Im not giving money for anything that isnt completed
