I'm building my collection so I'll keep most of the English cards. For the JP cards, I'm not 100% sure what I'll do yet.

I wish I would have played more when I was younger. I grew up during the Pokemon craze (I'm 33 now), and all my friends were into that. Happy I found MTG now though! Shame about the cards.

Sadly true. I only saw 1 revised rare. If the seller bought it sealed it would be more rares

@@squashmeee The only way to hit big, is at 80+ year old parents of GenX estate/garage sales or befriend a 50+ year old Magic player and trade yard work for Magic cards. Post an add, will work for Magic cards. 🤣

It was an auction I bought it from. Seller sold the lot and flicked through a few cards in an attached video but not all of them. Definitely possible that he purposely showcased some of the best cards to drive the price up. I live in SE Asia though. MTG isn't popular here. You can sometimes find really good deals on old collections that have somehow found their way here. I think donated goods from the west end up in the hands of people here that resell on Facebook Marketplace.

I have a weekly series where I do openings trying to complete entire sets. I also have occasionally do collection/box buys like this, so stay tuned =)

Thanks for the feedback! I do consider anything less than $1 bulk, but big numbers equals better for TH-cam, so I kept in the values of the bulk lol. Not sure if I'll do cut out bulk prices for future videos. I'll think about it. I don't plan on selling it anyway. These are the first Revised cards that I own, so I'm going to cherish them. I also love the box too. Everything was in surprisingly good condition 😃

I'm a big fan of the 3rd edition basic lands, they're worth at least a buck or two for resale. I love playing with them in decks personally due to the nostalgia they evoke. For what its worth Simulacrum can be a very interesting card for commander in certain decks, you can't use it if your life total hits zero but for those big swingy plays where its no an outright kill against you you can really turn the game, the oracle printing of it is really interesting as it counts as gaining life. "You gain life equal to the damage dealt to you this turn. Simulacrum deals damage to target creature you control equal to the damage dealt to you this turn."

​@@HauntedCorpseGaming Thanks for the info about Simulacrum! I don't play any commander as I'm currently living on a small island with few people. I have to beg my girlfriend to play with me or I play on MTG Arena. I should build a deck though next time I head to the city and hit up a LGS so I can learn the format 😀

Nice! I’ve only been into MTG for about a year, so I mostly have modern cards. I just bought a 1500 card collection from the late 90’s - Early 2000s (Morriodin, Odyssey, Torment, etc.). It was mostly commons/uncommons, but still made a profit of like $500 if I decide to sell it. Should have that video out in a few days. Make sure to check it out!

No rares over a dollar, the minimum number of uncommons, and the same basic (evolving wilds) three times. I was more impressed than mad to be honest!

True. More lands than anything else, but at least lands are always useful. Wish that Wasteland would have been surge foil though!

I like MTG over Pokemon, but to each their own.
