Drinkwitz: College Football's Trolling Head Coach
Believe it or not, Eli Drinkwitz, Head Coach of the Missouri Tigers, is a figure of controversy in the college football. But! Like it or not he has turned Mizzou around in 2023. Watch as I attempt to weigh in on some of his biggest "controversies."

This clown is a total waste of skin and only getting noticed after the fluke 2023 season. Back to the cellar.
This is the first and las time I'll clik on your video. I don't like the way you smear the coach by making up trivial trash for a clik. You have never worn cleats and sure as hell wouldn't be caught with a clipboard in your hand, Whew!
So what if outspoken. Ever heard of Steve Spurrier? Might want check him out before you start on Drink
As a tn fan that 2022 season had 3rd string players in so as a coach wouldnt you want your 2md amd 3rd string to score a td and let them get some excitment... which i get his side he should kneeled it but another side me says them kids worked all yr long and they finally got some playing time as a coach wouldnt you want them to play and have something to celebrate simce it could be only time that yr they could do something like that.. i get both sides and im kinda torn between it...
Drink-witz the Kool-Aid. The Tigers are on the prowl and looking forward to 2024.
As a Georgia fan and supporter I actually like how he moves as a coach. He’s getting results and looks like he’s build like Kirby,Sark and Sabin.

I believe Drinkwitz is a good man and an excellent football coach. As maturing adults, we often mimic the people we looked up to while we were finding our way in our profession... If I am not mistaken, Eli looked up to Steve Spurrier... enough said...

His wife (or someone) must have shown him two ways he pissed off Missourians. First, he ditched the Arkansas "hick" southern accent. Second, he stopped chewing and smacking gum... ALL THE TIME. Must have also helped with recruiting. But it didn't hurt that the AD hired an offensive coordinator and forced Drinkwitz to stop calling plays.
Josh Heupel used to work for Missouri football in some capacity, not sure what his actually title was there. However when Tennessee offered him a job, he packed his bags and left in the middle of the night not saying goodbye to any of the staff or players. That is the beef Drink has, it isn't with Tennessee but with Heupel.
Hupel wasn't even at Missouri when Drinkwitz came in.
@@zaineridling that's not the point. Its the principle of the matter, how he treated the school. Missouri has made Drink feel at home so he wants to have their back against people who have wronged them. He stands on Bussiness. It's his school now, his name will forever be etched into program history. Past, present, future makes no difference he wants to stand for Missouri. That's a great coach.
Huepel ran the Score up on Mizzu!!! That is where the problem lies!!! Huepel was also a Head Coach at UCF before his current tenure with the Vols 🤔 Maybe he left in the middle of the night for the UCF Job but not the Vols job

I'm an Ohio boy. By "default ", I root for OSU............. BUT, don't sleep on Drinkwitz / Missouri. I've been watching him since App State, and he's a VERY good Coach. Particularly, w/ losing McCord, this game isn't a "gimme" for OSU.
As a Tennessee fan, who cares what he told Heupel? He was triggered and wanted revenge. It's football. Hats off to their win this year. Looking forward to the next one. We'll see if he can replicate what he did this year moving forward. It's hard to build a consistent winner in Missouri.

Drink didn't want to limit NIL. He wanted to set up systems that kept them from blowing the money they get.

So I didn’t mean limit NIL moneywise I meant limit the system itself, because right now, there are no limits, put in place so by putting systems in place for them not to blow the money would be limiting the current system. You still didn't even get the first one correct. It was an interview question, not a tweet, and his answer was about protecting the athletes in their financial security. I would think that if you took the time to make a 7 minute video that you would at least thoroughly research your talking points first.

However I still got the first statement correct I said tweet because that is where a majority of the public heard about the interview as the interview was not broadcasted. Would like to see more on Drink and the Tigers! I’m glad to see him stand up for himself, his players and his employeer the university of Missouri. For all of the Mizzou haters who say Mizzou is trash, there are only three football teams that have wine the SEC East since Missouri entered the SEC - Georgia, Florida, and Mizzou. All of the Volunteer, Wildcat, and Gamecock fans need to take a look at their programs and stop hating on the Tigers. They should keep to their knitting and win some championships.
I completely agree! It is good to see Mizzou playing like there 2013 selves! Drink has done a great job with the program. The Drink video is in the works should be out by Xmas

@@rsh140.6Also facts. 2013 SEC had 4 of the top 8 teams w/ 2 top 5 programs in the East. Hell, even Vandy finished #25 nationally end of season. 'Down Year' indeed.

@@RoseGalberston-jd2pv I do not agree w/ OP in trashing SCar, Tenn, etc. The disrespect isn't warranted. Been a bit since Missouri has been more than Mid. They're damn sure better than that this season. Seems fairly sustainable. Also don't see MIZ getting worked by understrength Bucknuts. We shall see.

Yeah, what is wrong with the outlook of this broadcaster. He doesn't make any sense and he seems strangely jealous of what Eli has accomplished. He's a winner and thanks to the AD for lengthening his contract and I truly hope he can find a DC who is al least as creative as this past gentleman. Sorry to see him go and wish him luck except for when we play LSU.

I personally think this studf that he does all this trolling stuff is overblown honestly. The man loves what he does and honestly just having fun... The Florida game got mullen fired which actually was poetic.. i remember watching that game live and was like boy if MU pulls this one off, Mullen gettin fired. Boom... MU wins and next Mullen is gone. The thing with Tennessee was funny but when he said it im like uh oh lol.. Tennessee puts up 66 on MU the next 2 years.. this last win vs Tennessee was partial payback for those 66 pt games... Idk man... People take some of this stuff too serious .. this is def a business but its still a game in the end. Im just glad that as a HC, hes finally figuring out how to be just that. A HC.
I agree a lot of the things Drink is flamed for are blown out of proportion... He is a guy who wants to protect his players and program...
would have been better if you including the clip with ESPN Reece where he absolutely cracked up the whole studio with his shot at MI and Connor stalion. It was replayed over and over on all stations and timing was perfect. Is drink a great coach? not yet. has had one good year, now be more competitive against the top teams and win 10 again, then again. Even his dad told him to cool it till he won more games. But he is building a culture and program there.
I would have! The Connor Stallions clip happened a day after I posted the video... As soon as I saw it I was like darn that would have been perfect for the video. I agree Drink is not at the great coach level. He has proved he can build a winning program and culture we will see if he can maintain it (which is way hader)...
@cleatsclipboards3701 ....I truly believe that Coach Drink will be the coach to get MIZZOU back up to at least the SEC EAST DIVISION winning ways of Coach Gary Pinkle.
He beat OSU, what do you want, egg in your beer? He won only 12 this season, including defeating OSU in the Cotton Bowl, one of the oldest and most prestigious of bowls. He won 12 games with great coaching and great talent. He knows how to bring in those thoroughbreds that a champion needs. PLEASE, give this coach some room to breathe for I believe you will be eating your criticisms. This is a brilliant man who will be a great coach at Missouri. MIZ. You go coach. Let those TIGERS out of their cage to feed upon the SEC and all other pretenders.
I’m a big Mizzou fan. I have doubts the program will stay at this level. Next season should be successful with Burden, Cook, etc. returning but Drink hasn’t been great in recruiting. A great class in 2022 (18th) sees 2 of the top 5 recruits entering the portal right now. 2023 and 2024 both classes ranked in the mid 30s. That won’t cut it. If this program can stay in the upper echelon of the SEC now with Texas and Oklahoma entering it’ll have to crack the top 15-18 in recruiting classes and stay there. One key is they must be able to get top tier homegrown recruits. Both Oklahoma and Texas have taken two of the best HS players to come out of Missouri of all time. One in 2022 and one in 2023. This has to change.
The future is worrying recruiting wise but Drink has proved he can get a lot out of the players he gets... If he nails the transfer portal and improves recruiting wise MIZ will be here to stay on paper
@@cleatsclipboards3701 Schraeder and Wease were great finds last season. It’s a big ask. SEC has Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Texas, Oklahoma…I think being 6th behind them and in front of Tennessee, Florida, A&M, Auburn, etc. would be an achievement in itself. And not an easy task. He must do something about Oklahoma usually winning the recruiting battle for the West Missouri region.
