what console? i remember powershell window with list of app's u can either restore or remove like app's u normally cant uninstall, i am looking instructions how to open that list, or it wasn't powershell window?

It seems like my Ubuntu is buggy and missing anything. The last step when entering Ubuntu, there is no sf_sharefolir folder on my desktop. Do you know where it's wrong? . Thank you for sharing😅

Many thanks! After watching and reading multiple sources, finally this worked for me.

Nice little video, but I think you missed a few things. 1) I always enable 3D acceleration in the display section. It had only just come out of experimental when this video was made, but it's now mature and I've never known it not work or cause a problem. 2) Optional but very useful, set up a shared folder for use within the virtual machine. I usually pick the downloads folder and pick automount to get access to files on my real computer.

Followed every step exactly, no shared folder appears on my desktop. Win 10 host, mint guest. Is there somthing you have to do in Windows first to make this work?

I think the most confusing thing is that you can launch cloud shell from your VM instance's dashboard. Set your project within cloud shell, and install apache2 with no problems. the install works for your VM instance. HOWEVER, when you use the UPLOAD feature of cloud shell, it uploads the files into the cloud shell vm, which is not your VM instance. its persistent storage with no connection to your VM instance at all. This just does not make sense to take people down this path.
