Are You Carrying The WRONG Knife?
Everyday Carry Knife Review for the Buck 110, Spyderco Matriarch, and Gerber EAB. I've carried a lot of knives over the last twenty years, and the Buck 110, Spyderco Matriarch, and Gerber EAB are the ones I carried the most. I'll explain why there is no one-size-fits-all solution to Everyday Carry and just chat about knives for a little while.

The Harbor Freight Mini Tool Box Is ALMOST Perfect
มุมมอง 49K21 วันที่ผ่านมา
*Reviewing the Harbor Freight Mini Tool Box (US General Mini Tool Box):* This mini tool box from Harbor Freight is brand new in 2024. While the tool box is tiny in size, it's massive in value. There are a lot of tiny, mini, and micro tool boxes on the market - but which is the best? We'll talk about the best micro toolboxes from Snap-On, P.I.T., and Kobalt - and I'll explain why I think this on...
Reviewing the BAD Reviews for the BEST Tools
มุมมอง 139K28 วันที่ผ่านมา
Reviewing the Klein 32500 11-in-1 screwdriver and Huot 115-piece drill index case, including evaluating and testing claims made in other reviews. While reviewing the Klein 11-in-1 screwdriver I compared it with a Stanley 6-in-1 screwdriver and a regular Stanley Phillips screwdriver, and evaluated claims about the Klein screwdriver's weight and manufacturing issues other reviewers have reported ...
What's the REAL Difference? Made in China vs. Taiwan
มุมมอง 268Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Testing three Jacobs-style drill chucks: a precision Vertex drill chuck, a China-made "ball bearing" drill chuck, and an unknown model, Taiwan-made Vertex. We'll look at disassembling a drill chuck and the routine maintenance to follow, including de-burring, de-greasing, and lubricating the drill chucks. The amount of precision we're able to achieve from these cheap drill chucks (these are keye...
Are Harbor Freight Drill Bits Secretly AMAZING?
มุมมอง 190K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
Harbor Freight Drill Bits Review: 115 Piece, Warrior Brand, Cobalt Drill Bits Index. Reddit said that these Harbor Freight Drill Bits were awful, but are these drill bits secretly... awesome? If you're curious about the durability and performance of these cheap Harbor Freight drill bits on different materials like steel, aluminum, and brass, you’re in the right place. I tested these cobalt dril...
Ive used the gerber for many years on the job
Im not positive on this question, but wouldnt you want to check runout on the end of a bit that was actually doing the drilling? If i understand correctly, the runout would be greater at the far end. Right?
Umm. What's the problem with Taiwan? Some of the best bicycle parts come from that region. And tools!
Well done
Totally false. It's the Bowie knife
Amazon reviews are about as credible as male enhancement ads on youtube...
Honestly if I could only have one knife it’d be a high quality fixed blade. If we’re talking folders the Buck 110 or a high quality “copy” of one really can do it all in my opinion. They even have a switchblade version now directly from Buck if you’re concerned about self defense. No folder will ever beat a good fixed blade though in my opinion.
an EDC is by definition useful for utility and defense. Looks to me like you're just bad at choosing knives. Get a Cohomelars flipper or something already
now wait 6 months and order the ballbearing chuck again and see if they actually pulled the product. High possibility they are just scamming people and are only apologizing because they got caught. They're not expecting hobbyist's to open up the chuck right after getting it.
I plan to. I'd like to compare one of the knock-off China made ball bearing chucks to a vintage, USA-made Jacob's brand ball bearing chuck, and a brand new, now China made Jacobs brand ball bearing chuck.
Once you realize that most Americans today are 5 to 10 IQ points away from being retarded you have your answer for these reviews.
Many years ago I worked with a Swiss firm doing manufacturing survaillance for the German retailer which bought hand tools and electric tools from Chinese companies. The Swiss firm hired Philipino engineers to do the job because they were supposed to be less corruptable than local engineers. These Philipinos had to play hide and seek game with Chinese manufacturers on a daily basis. They found that the samples submitted were up to Metro standards, but the mass produced tools often failed inspection. It's no secret that to secure the order the Chinese were willing to accept low prices and they were able to make decent stuff, but at that cost they would lose money, the simple solution was to use cheaper materials and components in mass production. They were sometimes caught replacing inspected, qualified products with defective ones.
Some comments reinforce the saying, You can’t fix stupid.
That Klein screwdriver is an awesome tool. I bought several and keep one in each of my vehicles and various tool bags.
Just out of curiosity, how many people commenting have actually been in a knife fight?
chuk chuk cuk
No i dont i carry a vintage brazilian pica fumo knife its good for everything except self defense
My basics setting : Griptilian and Surge on me. Cybertool in my sling pouch and a mora in the car-kit. I also often use the Gerber utility knife/ prybar beside the knipex one. I keep an Outrider for eating, as he got everything for that in camping or at home.
"if you need to sharpen it because you defend youselves too much" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 BEST PUNCH LINE !!! lmao !!!
lol thank you
I have lived in Taiwan for over 30 years. Here in Taiwan, tradesmen often prefer paying more for tools made in Japan.
Got one today for $9.98 with ITC! Great for my pocket knife collection!
My favorite chuck brand is Yukiwa
This guy is a shilling for Huot.
Of your a harbor freight member you can t the toolbox starting today forest then 10 bucks.
i carry what i feel like, cause i like knives edc people cant even comprehend
A self defense knife that doesnt stab is pretty smooth brained.
The you aint livin right part....#heresyoursub
11-1 has no balance point. Homeowner tool.
My EDC blade will continue to be the Leatherman surge and sometimes a benchmade 940 that combo can accomplish anyting I need it to within reason.
I like the Swiss Army Knives - one issue, I don't like the fact that the blades do not lock - A few near misses over the decades.
I just found one at my local harbor freight. Picked it up an hour ago for 10 bucks!
Just picked up a blue and a red at my local HF, they limit to 2ea per person per day, plenty black but I got the last red & blue, hear they are only putting out so many a day so non ITC people can get some too. PS I own several Snap On minus too, these are just as nice.
Seriously, would have been a good review if you didn't think you are funny!
I was just thinking the same thing about your comment! lmao
The buck is a good knife i would never carry a knife like the spyderco over the buck. At that point just carry a stubnose 357.
You don't carry a knife in place of a gun you carry it in addition to a gun
"It was made in neither! It was made in Taiwan" -1,000,000 social credit
There's no knife for every task, which is why I also carry a firearm. Life changing problems require life changing solutions.
FYI: Square recessed bits are commonly known as ROBERTSON ... a Canadian invention, also considered the best screwdriver/ head
I carry leatherman surge. Perfect heavy duty multy tool. Durable and reliable. Especially if you are seaman.
I just bought Buck 110 for my best friend for his 40. birthdays and boy, that was a disappointment. The tip was so poorly made, i broke it with my thumb (I thought it was burr). Also, the blade joint/pivot was squeeking like someone put sand in it. I have quite a lot of knives, but this was really either bad luck or very bad standard from Buck company. The good thing was, I had time to send it back and bought a nice pocket EDC from WE Knives..
honestly the buck 110 and its smaller brother 112 are awesome for almost all tasks. I am not keen on that particular spyderco but I can understand why people like it or hate it.
Why would use the spyderco for self defence it literally doesn’t stab and knife fighting is 90% stabbing
What if you just got a gun
I've said this for years, knives and firearms need to be chosen according to what you intend to need them for, I would prefer a heavier fixed blade with a Scandinavian grind for the woods versus a broader folder for work and a simple old timer for day to day crap.
Depending where I'm going out either choose one for combat but one for multiple uses until we just bring this stiletto for walks and stuff
I only carry knifes I made and I didn't make much but still works and that's the only criteria
I have three knives in my car accessible and I carry one at all time
I lost one of those Gerber box knives in the grass, I found it 2-3 years later and the only thing wrong with it was the razor blade was rusted to almost gone.
based on my own research and findings, I have found that China until today cannot make reliable screws, they import them from Germany. By reliable screws i mean for critical projects such as bridges, bullet trains, etc that require precision screws that don't snap, distribute pressure along the shafts, and thread remain solid in the long run. They have 2-3 state backed companies for making screws, but they have Japanese and western machines. Another research and finding, their robot companies use open source hardware and software.
Try the hvac version i have 6
Underrated channel lol
I heavily heavily recommend you change your choice of self defense knife for your safety, slashing is far less practical and effective, for example you cant slash wreslting on the ground, or less than arms reach standing up, both of which you can stab however. Your knife doesnt look like it's capable of stabbing effectively, which i assume is because you have no intentions of killing or seriously hurting people, which i completely understand and respect, but sadly in life or death scenarios you're better off stabbing, serrations also can be caught on things and be impractical in a fight, id recommend a thin knife designed for rapid stabbing, not only is it effective, its also more intimidating in my opinion, although that may also be a factor in court. Your choice in the end ofcourse, but figuring self defense equipment can be life or death i figured id say my piece. Wish you well brother ❤
