Do Screw Extractors ACTUALLY Work?
We're testing the best selling screw extractor on Amazon - this is the Thosaf broken screw / broken bolt extractor set. It's advertised as working on stripped, sheared, broken, damaged, and rusty screws and bolts, but some of those claims weren't accurate. I'll also demonstrate the proper technique so you can learn how to remove a broken screw. Learning how to use a screw extractor is pretty easy so just dive right in.

*Reviewing the Harbor Freight Mini Tool Box (US General Mini Tool Box):* This mini tool box from Harbor Freight is brand new in 2024. While the tool box is tiny in size, it's massive in value. The REAL Difference: Made in China vs Taiwan

Testing three Jacobs-style drill chucks: a precision Vertex drill chuck, a China-made "ball bearing" drill chuck, and an unknown model, Taiwan-made Vertex. We'll look at disassembling a drill chuck and the routine maintenance to follow, including de-burring, de-greasing, and lubricating the drill chucks. The amount of precision we're able to achieve from these cheap drill chucks (these are keye...

It is like UE or USA brands that sell very expensive stuff that are made in China and has no advantages from china Stuff, sorry but I go to a national brand to buy national hand made stuff, if it is not made in my country I will go to a cheap one, and not pay premium prices for something that it isn´t. Quality stuff cost money to make and I will pay for that, not for a name.

My son has a Klien screwdriver we use on the job occasionally and it sticks when you try to remove the shaft from the handle regularly. Still it is a great tool. I totally agree with the sentiment of this video though. I always read the bad reviews when buying things to see why the ratings are low. I am amazed at how many bad reviews are for shipping issues or ordering problems and not the product itself.

The problem with those Klein 11-in-1's is that when I bang on them to tighten locknuts too many times the shaft gets smashed into the handle and you can no longer get it out... I went through 6 before I decided it was a waste of money. I'm not very smart though... Overall, it's a great tool

I sold sporting knives for years and have had a great time building a collection over the last thirty years. My favorite all time: the old 90's Benchmade Emerson CQC7. I got one when they were new, lost it after several years, found a NOS and have that as my edc. That said, I want to say I can point out a better basic do it all knife for anywhere near the price than the 110, but I can't. It's iconic for a reason. It's a knife you start with, try a hundred others, then buy again thirty years later.

The only change I would make to the 11in1 would be to replace the square drives with ECX electrical bits, which actually fit the screw heads on electrical devices. Klein does make replacement with the ball detent, and they are $6US on Amazon.

I beg to differ. The SAK Super Tinker or Climber does everything that this video punts, and more. Other than the self-defense aspect (that being said, if a rock, fist or tree branch, etc, can be used in absolute emergencies, so can the SAK.)

I've used this screwdriver for many years. The only legitimate issue I ever had was with the bits sometimes coming out of the tool and remaining in the screw and then falling as if specifically designed, directly into whatever crevice or hole is available.

People kill me. They buy the cheapest thing out there and complain. I bought the HF Warrior set of 29 titanium nitride bits on sale for $9.99. I had no great expectations. I wanted to fill the gaps of my other drill sets and plan to use them in mostly wood. People buy these and complain they won't drill through chrome or even stainless steel. On the case it says "Ideal for ALL drills" They lied. I can't get the 1/2" bit into my Dremel.

Harbor Freight is losing money on these boxes. They get the customers in the stores or online and I bet over 50% of the shoppers buy more potentially higher profit items. Snap On just don't care and EVERYTHING they sell is a high profit item! No exceptions.

I'm definitely a knife enthusiast and a bit of a steel snob. And while the 110 isn't for me I don't think that there is anything wrong with it either. It's just not for me. I have always been interested in knives but, until 2018 or so, i had no idea that there was so much to the knife world. When i was just out of highschool i was annoyed that the knives i had wouldn't hold a good edge so I happily carried an EAB for several years. I actually fell back into knives a bit by accident when i found that the EAB wasn't fitting the pocket seams of my new pants and i needed something with a taller clip.

The Matriarch is actually horrible for self-defense. You should be able to do two things with a self-defense knife. Stab and slash. You can only slash with the matriarch. That limits it so severely I almost thought it was a joke the first time I saw it. Granted self-defense knives are a very touchy subject, but a matriarch is never the tool for any job unless your job is constantly cutting rope. Buck 110 is a classic but it's heavy. It'll work for most generalist stuff though as long as you know how to sharpen. Buck heat treats 420C better than anyone else plus their care after you buy it is fantastic and that's the only reason why I don't hate it. A utility knife is definitely worth it but I find I don't carry mine as much as I thought I would.
