The Kent church of Christ, established in 1956, is centrally located in scenic downtown Kent, Ohio. Our historic building was built in 1900 and includes a picturesque balcony. Where is this church? I have recently been baptized into Christ and am currently at a church of Christ where the leaders are telling me they don’t believe the Holy Spirit lives in us. I know this is against scripture and I would like to go to another church. Like you described, these people are helpful and kind seemingly but the doctrine is false.
You are correct to study and challenge any teaching, even anything we would say out here. John tells us to test all spirits. As far as the Spirit living within us, even Acts 2 tells us we will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit in baptism. God decided to leave the temple in Jerusalem and move into living temples. That is done via his Spirit. See also: Romans 8:11, 1 Corinthians 6:19, 2 Timothy 1:14, Ephesians 1:13-14, 2 Corinthians 1:21-22, Ephesians 4:30

I always leave them with a seed. Something that may stick with them for a while and sometimes not let go of them. I've met some difficult and when they're losing interest I leave them with a question or two. Here's a few examples: You know what pain is. Do you want a 100 yr journey to get out of pain or a thousand year journey to get out of pain? If GOD is all love and all power, why doesn't it work for GOD to simply force or trick people into using their free-will correctly? (2 Peter 3:8/9) If GOD is all love and all power, then in what place or situation could there be where we could actually help out with GOD and GOD"S Will? What would be the greatest job in the universe a person could do? What makes for an eternal journey inside infinity? In what type of universe would faith be more important than knowledge? Does a person need to be smart to have GOD love them? Do you need to understand The Bible to be able to apply it, or is just reading and desiring it enough to have it applied to you? Where were you before you entered this world? Do you believe GOD may have been there with you? Will you see GOD when you leave this place? What possibly could be missing between then, between the before and the next? Why did Jesus say, "They hated me first" and "They hated me without reason?" You would think they would be interested in a person who's wrote a free book on their extensive conversations with GOD before entering this world - but I now rarely let them know that because so few believe it. John 15-26 Jesus Says: "When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from The Father- The Spirit of Truth who proceeds from The Father- He will testify about Me." John 15-27 Jesus Says: "And you also must testify, because you have been with Me from the beginning."

Keep in mind that by telling people they should find assurance of their salvation by obedience, you make yourself twice a child of hell. Rest in Christ or have no rest.

What a stupid video.
I was raised in the Church of Christ and I’m so thankful God took me out of this works righteousness religion. They know nothing of The Substitutionary Death of Christ.
Works are absolutely required for salvation, but works saves no one. We do not work to earn salvation, but we will be judged based on our works and what we do with what God gives us. See Eph 2:10 and James 2:14-26. Also, 1Co 3:12-15 and Matt 25:14-30, especially the last servant who failed to put his money to good use. It does not end well for that servant.
What at present is the most important square to be checked for "Men of "God" abiding in the "INSTUITIONALIZED CONTEMPORARY CHURCH" ? The answer is to check the box to freedom, freedom from the inside the box bondage's and doctrine's of men. I speak from experience and I know many today silently say concerning their affiliation, "this isn't right." "Men of "GOD" awaken and arise to the "Anointing Christ" bestows. It is not only the "Church of Rome" that Revelation 18: 4 is speaking to.
The Thief on the Cross did not get baptized but was saved
Jesus can save who he wants of course, but the thief died under the old law. See Hebrews 9:16. The church started at Pentecost in Acts 2, and Peter understood exactly what being born of water and Spirit meant (John 3:3;5) when he told the crowd how to be saved under the new covenant in Acts 2:38. You will not find an instance of salvation post resurrection that did not involve being immersed in baptism. As mentioned to Paul in Acts, what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on his name. (Acts 22:16)
Church of Christ is not working with God. Full of false doctrines and leading people to hell.
If you believe that the person must be baptized in your water by your denomination in order to be saved, then you don’t believe the message of the Cross. And if you believe that is how you were saved, then you are not saved my friend. I guarantee it
