This album and Dressed to Kill are my two favorites of theirs, there's a cool funness to these albums not really present on their other (great too) early releases.

I think Almost Human solo is backwards...Ace played it normally and Eddie Kramer runs it backwards on the tape. Ace also did this on the incredible solo on Strange Ways on Hotter than Hell (his craziest mind blowing solo imo) and he definitely does it on his '78 solo record on Speedin' Back to My Baby. Cool effect btw.

Actually the first part of I Stole Your Love guitar solo is Paul Stanley then you can tell when Ace takes over. The also did the same thing on I Want You on the R&R Over record.

Love this album... not as good as Rock and Roll Over album but still damn good.Love for Sale is oddly my fave tune on it. Peter Criss has sung some great tunes...Black Diamond, Mainline,Strange Ways...

Cayley makes a great point that the lyrics to "Hooligan" are stupid. Face it - most Kiss lyrics aren't intellectual. It's more about the actual music and the visual experience. Ace once said not to try to find meaning where there is none. It's just words that rhyme.

"Shock Me" is the first song Ace sang lead vocals on. He was too shy prior to that, even though he also had written "Cold Gin", "Strange Ways", "Parasite", and "Getaway".

Favorite Alice album is "From the Inside" The album has doors that you could open and Alice was there in a straight jacket. Second favorite Alice album "Flush the Fashion" which is the new wave version of Cooper but a really good album. Third favorite "Billion Dollar Babies".

Ryan came into the album blind, and didn't know the album????? SHOCK-ing to ME!!!! Gene has tried Alcohol. Shannon had him try it on Family Jewels. Ryan is an IDIOT for putting Shock-Me as the second worst song. Cayley is spot on for the worst song!

Cool video! Love Gun is definitely the weakest of the original 6 studio albums. Even Dynasty is better in my opinion. Also, nothing beats KISS’s first 3 albums. After that, KISS became too polished in the studio. The rawness of the original three had a charm that was lost when they became big.
