This is not a scam. Jackfruits are scarce at this time. Farmers sell jackfruits grown in normal villages for 500, 600 rupees. The price in the market has increased to more than 1000 rupees.

7:45 yeah, they don't sell below like 100 g because everybody buys like the whole set of bananas without caring for the weight. you can buy 100g from a supermarket street vender usually doesn't sell like that, but you can eat one banana if you go to a rural restaurant (sometimes, if they sell bananas) same goes for jackfruit
