The Pinkertons were a mercenary wild west private army of gunman that came out of the Civil War, then they later were hired under the US Government and branded themselves as a Detective Force for the US Government who had given them badges. They were the Detective agency that the US used domestically before the FBI was established and was from then on given sole jurisdiction over domestic affairs investigation. The US Government and monopoly titans of industry during the industrial revolution used Pinkerton "detective" gunmen to put down strikes. That is why after too much violence by the Pinkertons upon US Citizens that the Government stopped employing them to save face and so passed the Anti Pinkerton act. They are still a detective agency to this day now calling themselves the Pinkerton group.
Don't think there is any Starbucks drinks as high as ten dollars or twelve dollars as the electrician suggests there is, because from what I have seen a Venti Frappuccino costs exactly 7 dollars even and even new drinks that come out tend to be only 25 to 50 cents more than 7 dollars for a Venti size with you tax added. Never even ordered or seen a Trenta size before or had the chance to order one so don't know what a drink would cost in that size. I think it is only a hot drink cup size, because the Venti cold cup size is massive enough.
By my very low effort calculations and variable analysis: If the manhole did go into space and didn't hit anything whilst maintaining speed due to space being frictionless; then is should be something similar or over 1.3602706e+14 meters away from us and probably near impossible to actually locate in modern day...
Funny They did exactly the same thing to reintroduce beavers to Yellowstone and Colorado river
Really? That’s awesome!
Plz react to SBS Datelines video about Danish forrest kindergartens
I haven’t heard of that channel! I’ll take a look. Thanks for the suggestion :)
Love your videos
Aw, thanks! Glad you’re enjoying them :)
I'm over the story that Jim Sinegal started the $1.50 hot dogs; it was Jeff Brotman that actually came up with it. Trying to rewrite history 😂
Ope, I wonder if he can get reparations in the form of hotdogs?
You really should check out all of this guys videos, they are very very good
I agree! His videos are great!
Unfortunately OLD 666 was flown to Albuquerque New Mexico in August of 1945 where it was sold for scrap, so we can not see OLD 666.
Such a shame. Would’ve been a great piece of history to see in a museum.
She totally ruins the fat electricians videos.
So you cheat the members by going with others cards?
I’m always with my family (who have Costco memberships). I don’t just steal their cards and pretend to be a member haha.
@@rebeccareactschannel You are still cheating the company
@@lauraIngleswilder74 you may want to recheck the membership policy. Costco doesn’t quite agree with your take. Members are allowed to bring up to two guests with them (purchases must all be through the member holder, though). customerservice.costco.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/855 Also see: www.costco.com/member-privileges-conditions.html
@@rebeccareactschannel I apologize I did not know that.
@@lauraIngleswilder74 no worries! Who likes reading the fine print anyway, haha?
Gonna go to your page and see if you have any more "Sciencey" videos, I dig you're take on science shit "Even friction said What the fuck was that!" They probably heard my ass howling with laughter across the street lol.
I don’t have any “sciency videos” at the moment, but feel free to suggest something!
I don't know if you know who dancula is but hes a series of videos called Madd Ladds about some of the crazies people throughout history( both good and bad) that are well researched and can be fun to react to
Never heard of him! I’ll have to check him out!
The pizza is ok, the hot dogs are not good anymore IMO.
I love their pizza! When did their hotdog quality change in your opinion?
@@rebeccareactschannel I lived in a city where Costco had the Polish dog for $1.50, I am now in the Southwest and went to Costco and they have regular hotdogs that are rather plain/low end.
@@michaelanthony1797 that’s quite unfortunate :(
That's bullshit Costco is expensive
Compared to a lot of other stores, I find deals at Costco that I can’t find anywhere else.
My sister is a member and I went with her once. I noticed the prices were really good, and they even sell gasoline cheaper than a normal gas station. There store closest to me is a bit far though.
Yeah, same….
Another unbelievable story is Roy Benevidez when he was awarded the Medal Of Honor by Ronald Regan said if Hollywood made a movie of his no one would believe it also that was a good one the fat electrician did in fact I have seen all of his videos I don’t think I have seen a bad one from him another good one is the ice cream ships and the Berlin airlift oh screw it just blindfold yourself and pick a video at random they are all good 🤣🤣🤣
I’ll definitely add those to the list! But I agree. All his videos so far have been amazing! Entertaining and educational haha.
I strongly suspect that plane was scrapped..... Far as I know from all the searches I've done the serial number isn't on any of the flying or on display aircraft I know of. Could have some bits of it still around in various aircraft but I think it's long gone.
i mean as it was it was already basically a flying piece of swiss cheese that was frankesteined together so i cant imagine a reason to keep it other then historical purposes and they would probably just keep the the tail fin or something if they did lol
@@rileytruax766 it's not like everyone except joe that had died wasn't gunna keep flying so I suspect was repaired after the bougainville mission and eventually either shot down or they do eventually wind up being trainers for ground crews before scrapping.
@@dillonpierce7869 i was talking about after the war. im pretty sure you were too? lol since you were answering the question "i wonder where it is now"
Yeah, that’s what I suspect too
@@rebeccareactschannel considering how we hold onto older stuff in the military inventory I'm extremely upset how wasteful they were melting down and scrapping so many of the planes tanks ships etc after WW2. Wish there were more around to see or buy if I could ever put the money together.
Costco is incredibly anti-gun, anti-freedom and anti-Capitalism ( yes, I know - the irony.) Have you ever been to a BJ's Wholesale? I'm going to guess not. Wait, $1.50 for a freaking hot dog? nahhhh, no thanks. Anyway, they're not really very gangster since they hate guns and those who carry.
Ah, interesting. Haven’t heard anything about them being anti-gun or freedom. I’ll have to see what I can find about those claims. My parents got a BJ’s put in near them not too long ago, but my town doesn’t have it. Haven’t been, since there’s none near by. But next time I’m at Costco, I’ll get an extra hotdog since you don’t want yours haha.
Anti- freedom? That is insanely incorrect.
Just subbed! *Let's do this thing!!!*
Thanks for the sub!!
Please fix your audio
Thanks for watching :) messed up the audio on this one and didn’t realize until after I uploaded, but I did add chapters to the video, for your convenience, noting where the audio issues are. Feel free to check out my other videos if you want no audio issues haha.
Yeah, hiding under your desk wasn't supposed to protect you from radiation. It was to protect you from possible falling debris so that you could live long enough to possibly get to a fallout shelter which many schools also had. Many people make fun of duck and cover because most people even of my age never understood that. Ground zero, nothing saves you but a couple of miles away this could save your life.
Well don’t I feel like a dum dum. That makes sense, haha. Thanks for correcting my thinking! I shall spread the word.
@@rebeccareactschannel no need to feel dumb. Most of us that lived through that, didn't (and some still don't) know or understand. For most of us, it was never explained. Some of the teachers didn't understand and just ran the drill because they were told to. Things work better, though, if everyone understands.
Agreed!
I love the movie idea 😂😂😂😂

At 150,000 miles an hr, assuming that the cover did not collide with anything, it made it to Pluto in just under 3 1/2 years & is currently somewhere in the Ort cloud 😹 Plot twist - manhole cover collides with Haley’s comet in Ort cloud veering the comet off course & is now in direct path of Earth and that is our newest planet killer 😂
Haha, sounds like the perfect summer movie.
If I had a dollar for every person that laughs at Duck n Cover without ever understanding the history of it...or knowing what it was supposed to do...I could retire and do nothing but watch YT videos all day. But I already retired, and pretty much watch YT videos all day, so I guess that would be as pointless as trying to explain to all those folks why Duck n Cover is the ONLY thing you can do to protect yourself from the explosion of a nuke nearby. 👍💯
Yes, apparently there was a purpose to duck n cover haha! Thanks for correcting me :)
@@rebeccareactschannel The biggest thing to know is that it came out before the hydrogen bomb...so it made much more sense in 1951 than it did by the end of the 1950s and into the 1960s. The 2nd biggest thing to know is how important it is for people to protect their face and head from injury if they want to actually survive a nuclear attack. If you are far enough from the nuke to even survive the initial thermal pulse, then you actually have a chance to survive the blast...so the next priority is taking cover and protecting your face and head. There is no doubt a big part of Duck and Cover that is meant to be a fantasy to give folks something to do if they actually witness a nuclear explosion, rather than just leaving it up to everyone to panic. It was definitely partly to reduce the fears of the children, but when you get right down to it, ducking and covering is the best thing to do in a number of situations...not just for nukes. Of course, the USSR put much more money into civil defense than the USA did early on, and it seemed like they actually thought they could "win" a nuclear war, but it turned out that they spent more on civil defense due to the fact that the Soviets lagged far behind the USA in nuclear weapons capabilities until the 1970s. Dang...I talk too much about this stuff. LOL
I love it! No such thing as talking too much haha.
in COD world at war i think it was in the start up menu theme song thing it actually plays a audio clip from the cartoon that they used to teach kids this i just realized this after seeing this video lol when it sings 🎶duck and cover🎶
Fat Electrician makes such fun videos...but one thing he is a little bit off on is that the Germans put the first manmade object in space with the launch of a V-2 rocket to an altitude of 176 kilometers on June 20, 1944. So no matter what happened to the manhole cover, it was definitely never going to be the first manmade object in space. It is also possible that he is just thinking that the manhole cover would have gone into orbit, which it would not have...but it just proves he is still human and can make mistakes. LOL
I had no idea about that. Time to do some researching!
You're really pretty and I really like your appreciation for history
Aww, you’re sweet. Thank you :) and thanks for watching!
Heres a lead for ya. Most dont know much about Carl Ben Eielson. He was a very important pioneer pilot who developed alot of the arctic and antarctic methods for dealing with that climate. Legend who should be as highly rated as Lindberg.
Thanks! Never heard of him. Sounds like a great guy to look into.

also the reason horses used in the Korean war aren't mentioned on that wiki is becuase sgt reckless was the only one. the didnt use horses in that war she was just an exception for that particular battle

I have had a crazy day 😂 thx for the reaction
You’re welcome! Hope today isn’t as crazy :)
Ah good ol insubordination. It was almost a mircule that got my good conduct award.
Haha I feel like there’s a good story behind that one….
@@rebeccareactschannelmany stories yes. But not as BadAss as Fat Electrician talks about. I can tell stories about growing up next to a man from the 509 PIR in WW2 named Harold Calfield. One story is his platoon was resting on a patrol. And he had to go take a leak so walked off into the woods then they got hit from artillery rounds. He got back to where he was and the tree he was leaning against was gone and the upper half of the guy he shared the tree with.
Castle Itter story is a good one as well so crazy but true. German troops US troops French POWs and Austrian partisan hold a castle against the SS til help arrived and out numbered and out gunned.
Oh wow! I’ll have to read about that one.
5 jumps makes you airborne qualified. But then you are a 5 jump chump. I'm an ol dope on a rope with 36 drops. But there are folks out there with thousands of jumps. OHSA is there for a reason. Before I retired I worked in a diesel test lab and how many time I broke safety rules. Safety 3rd. Hell on my land my firepit I start it with gasoline no Safety gear. Now like today was too windy so no burn. When you siad I wished they filmed it I laughed with you are for a treat. Nuclear engineer reacts is a good one to react to as well.
Haha, well thank you for your service! When were you in the military? I did not realize it only took 5 jumps to make you airborne certified. I wish they had an option for civilians to try it out. I’d be just like Geronimo getting back on that plane. And yes, I’m so glad they filmed it haha. I spoke too soon!
@@rebeccareactschannelits okay that is why I enjoy watching reaction videos like yours. I was in the 82nd Airborne Division. AA patch also know as Always Alcoholics or 8 Duce or Jumping junkies or All American and before the Unit was Airbone its most famous member was Alvin York. A pacifist who was a dead eye shot. And saved his buddies in WW1. taking on the Germans. I was in the late 1980s in Aco 2bn 504 PIR.
@@GrantWaller.-hf6jna pacifist who was a dead eye shot? Dang. I shall be doing some reading about your unit and this man. It’s been great learning about the military the last few years-they taught none of this in public school.
@@rebeccareactschannelyes Mister York was a poor boy from the hills in Tennessee. You are a good shot or your family starves. And back in those days the MAN of the house ment something. The Alvin York story was played by Gary Cooper I believe and York did get the Medal of Honor for his actions that day. Another Hero was the Most US decorated man in WW2. He was so short the Marine Corps did not want him. His name Audie Murphy a 5 foot 4 inch BADASS. He was with the 4th Infantry Division. The picture on Wiki says it all the medals filled his dress coat. He held off 200 German troops on a burning tank using the machine gun from the tank that could explode at any point.
@@rebeccareactschannelYes they don't teach in schools even in the 70s and 80s they didn't unless the teacher want the students to know his stuff. I was self taught. That’s actually in the works! Stay tuned!
Young Lady you have found yourself about to take a journey down a rabbit hole that is "The Fat Electrician" . His videos are always informative, based on his own research, historically accurate, and comedic at the proper moments. There are many videos he has done and believe me they are all great. Perhaps you may want to react to the DH-98 Mosquito from WW2 it will be a rather shocking story and it also has a bit of history repeating itself. It is also by the TFE.
And I’m quite excited about the journey! I will add that one to the list. Thanks for watching. I do appreciate how in depth TFE goes in his videos.
this is her 3rd fat electrician video lol i haven't seen the mosquito one yet ill watch it now
While historically accurate, he will flub a time or 2… like the Praying Mantis, he’s says the bombader is behind pilot but its actually next to & Willis Lee one, during a naval battle he said “the third ship” twice when clearly he meant to say “third and fourth”…. mostly, it’s just quick grammatical errors…
@@angrydemonproductions4361 yeah that's just him misspeaking he does the same thing in the 666 video where he accidently says staring into the sun makes the guys eyesight better instead of worse but he flashes *worse* on the screen quick to correct himself
@@angrydemonproductions4361 Yes he does make errors he was already corrected about the BN being next to the pilo9t and not behind and he admitted it was an error in the comments. He is human just like the rest of us and will make mistakes.
Just a note about Chesty Puller being the last Marine to ride Sgt Reckless. The only Marines noted to ride Reckless, were the wounded that she carried down the hill during the battle.
Oh wow, I did not know that. Her story is truly incredible
Love TFE’s videos, thx for the video 😊

You lost your audio a couple of times. You might want to check out how to keep that from happening. Bougainville is actually where Admiral Yamamoto, that was mentioned earlier, was shot down by p38s set up for extreme long range specially set up for that particular mission.
New subscriber. Also, US Navy Submarine Service veteran. I want to echo a recommendation to watch the fat electrician's story of the unstoppable 77th. It is the unit that Desmond Doss was in. He tells the stories of several of the almost forgotten heroes of history. He is definitely worth following. I did enjoy your reaction and hope you figure out the audio problem.
