@@alexk_215 it’s semi-retired! It came back from its last ‘ring trip with a very stonechipped front bumper and a hole in one of the splitters, and for the first time ever, it bothered me. I thought it was time to get a track car I can thrash without caring too much and use the CSL for road trips instead.

I was on AD09s - I was maybe 10s a lap slower, but I think half of that is maybe my confidence and experience growing. AD09s an amazing arrive and drive tyre - great grip and brilliant wear rate. Will see how the CR-S Compares with a few more track days in them. Anglesey and Donny this month..

@@cjkpre thanks for the info. I‘m currently running the A052 coming from the Cup2. I think it‘s faster but I still have to adjust.

@@willitgrip AO52 are great, they just wear at a crazy rate. A friend uses them and a new set will be gone after driving to the ring and back plus 30-40laps. Definitely faster than a Cup2 though. The AD09 lasted at least twice as long and were probably 95% as grippy. Let’s see how the CR-S last as I think they’re at least as grippy as AO52

@@cjkpre that‘s what I‘ve felt. 80 laps on Cup2 and roughly 40 on the Yoko 😅 Wear on the CR-S will be interesting.

@@cjkpre that too! I saw the GT3 getting a bit out of shape (while Cerb was fine) and so assumed driver was pushing-on, but perhaps on less sticky tyres.

@@I999-g2s the Cerb is on stickier tyres (MRFs) and the Cup2s on the GT3 are well past their best (Not old and have legal tread but have done a few too many track days and heat cycles), but I'd say that GT3 was maybe 3-4 seconds a lap quicker when properly pushing on. I finished them off at Anglesey this week (see latest upload)....

@@cjkpre sorry, didn’t realize you were the GT3 driver - you’re a very lucky man, the 997 is the pinnacle of the GT3 (after the 997 RS). Have you driven the TVR?

@@I999-g2s No - haven't driven it (yet!). Had a Chimaera back in 2001 and have always loved them. I agree that the 997 GT3 is pretty much peak car. Would love an RS, but I'd be lying if I said that the value didn't play on mind when pushing on, and I've not got a big enough wallet to own an RS and dare to drive it properly!

It's an AVIN Carplay head unit - works really well and looks OEM.

I didn't before the trip - spotted a TPMS app on the USB TPMS dongle and installed that - it worked immediately! Sadly, the graphics don't match the rest of the stuff so I've gone back to Avin support to see what they suggest.

Any info appreciated as this seems to be the only clip with a Tegiwa back box

Sorry for the slow reply! It was just the backbox - centre section and cats were standard. There was some drone at about 75mph on the motorway and I’ve actually now put a standard exhaust back on and sold this one. Do miss it sometimes, but can hear the airbox much more now.

@@cjkpre put the back box on a month ago and sounds amazing, a little drone as you say at around 75-80mph but can live with that as it’s only a weekend car 😎
